Massive cycle issue

So before I actually understood what I was doing, when I saw the conflict issue and selected all the suggested load orders then I just started randomly clicking. This would usually be easy to solve but I did this with like 60 mods and now I basically have with massive node graph which is impossible to make sense of. I was wondering if there is any way to fix this. Would deactivating then reactivating the mods work?

Yikes. If it were me, I remove all that and start over. Remember that whatever loads last will be what shows in game.

You can right-click any of the mods (the black circles) and select "Highlight Cycle".

That will highlight in orange one cycle involving that mod, very often that will then only involve three mods with three connections. Then just flip one of the connections (right-click on the connection -> flip rule) so that there is no cycle (a cycle being "mod a -> mod b -> mod c -> mod a").

When you fix a cycle it will disappear from the graph making it simpler.

Repeat until all cycles are gone, it's probably going to be quicker than you think

Has there been any changes made to the deployment function? I have made no major changes in my mods and am now receiving the 'plugins not sorted due to cyclic rules' error.

you say "major changes" how about any changes at all, such as adding a mod?

Hi,

Thanks for responding. I had updated some mods but the culprit was Morrowloot Ultimate. I reinstalled it and no cyclical issues now.

so you had made changes. this then proves that your issue is nothing to do with vortex.
