  1. @showler It's good if drivers know how to at least change a flat tire or add wiper-fluid etc. I'm not against the collections, but providing support for these one-click users will be more difficult, because they won't understand any of the instructions you give them.
  2. The only place I've seen this mentioned in recent years, was in the hog-wash "news" article. I don't want people to learn "the hard way" because it's difficult, but because they become much more capable. Some people just need a little encouragement and guidance to get over a degree of intimidation.
  3. It throws off the balance of power.
  4. I've got all five pages of Slof's 90 Oblivion mods on Firefox 89.02
  5. If you remove the modded files (you could extract the mod archive file in a separate folder in order to see exactly which files were included, or inspect the "file contents" on the mod page) the game should "revert" to using the vanilla files packed in the game .vpk archives. If the modded torrie reskin files didn't "replace/overwrite" any thing upon installation, there shouldn't be any issue with removing them. If you have the Unofficial Patch installed, you might lose a couple of texture fixes or something. I don't see any male toreador files in my Unofficial Patch (10.3) install. "Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines\Unofficial_Patch\materials\models\character\pc\male..." "Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines\Unofficial_Patch\models\character\pc\male..."
  6. Yes, Thank You. I considered requesting them a while back, but I didn't know what sort of "impact" it might have on the system, or the staff. Cheers to the person/s who came up with, and implemented the initial idea and the expansion. I use them often.
  7. Opening blender after updating to Nvidia geforce 400 series drivers (released sometime around Oct. 2018) supposedly caused the blender interface/viewport to have a "very bright/high contrast/gamma" appearance, for some users of blender versions 2.7xx and earlier. (I'm currently using 2.44 w/ Python 2.5, and a GTX960 on Win 10 [64-bit]). Though I was able to find about four threads on other forums mentioning this issue (Oct. 2018), there was no solution offered other than rolling back (to 300) series drivers. I'm not certain but I believe that in general, people on the Nvidia forums, were directed to the blender forums, and vice-versa. So, as I have rolled back to the 300 series drivers, I'm O.K. for now and not seeking assistance or asking anyone to do any research on my behalf. But as the issue doesn't seem to have been mentioned anywhere recently, I'm wondering if anyone here had a similar issue, and whether there was an easy fix that I missed, or maybe if it's a very hardware specific problem, or if it was "fixed" for versions later than 2.44/2.6, which are the versions that I use. In order to recreate in G.I.M.P., the look of the textures in the UV window in blender while the issue was present, I had to use the "Curves" filter or adjustment, to a rather extreme degree (darkest pixels remain black, while everything else looks high gamma). Thanks -H.M.
  8. Check, Settings- Preferences tab- Global preferences- "Remind me about file ratings". I think that adjusts the frequency.
  9. @Bizkit I submitted a file for a new game addition on Dec 5th, the mod/game was not approved. Usually when this happens, after some time I will use the "report" function (Dec 10th) to draw attention to the file (without posting about it) in the event that it was "lost in the shuffle". Which is the preferred action in these situations, reporting, posting, or other? Was there an issue with my new game addition file, for Star Wars Episode 1 Racer?
  10. Hello Freddie, Welcome!
  11. Welcome back! These characters look very nice indeed.
  12. Up to two weeks... Seems that all of the new game requests are done every other friday or so. After that, If you post about it, Salami will crack the whip. I'm used to it now, but this doesn't help: "We aim to act on game suggestions within 24 hours of the suggestion taking place. Until we've approved the game your file page will not be visible to others."
  13. Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. I found getting killed by traps or piranha amusing (in an old comedy short film way) , and therefore less tedious than with other games. Except for the texture resolutions, I consider the console version to be "better" due to camera/control improvements, Z-targeting, Etc.
  14. Check the description page, readme file, and permissions tab.
  15. Sorry, I believe the only way to do something like that would be to re-sculpt the Ventrue face manually. It would also have to be done for each of the four outfits (these models are one piece). There are many VV re-skins that could be used for the four outfits by mixing/matching/re-naming. Many available on Planet Vampire, and that other mod site. I looked at her face texture and it has some hair on it, so remember that fact, if you decide to swap face files in order to change lipstick color.
  16. Thank you for the MO videos, and for making the distinction between the newer and outdated tutorials.
  17. Go to main Nexus Mods page, "Browse our file database We support modding for all PC games. If you can mod it, we'll host it. Select from the list of games we currently support below. Have a mod you want to upload but don't see the game listed? No problem, use our upload wizard." Click on "upload wizard", if you haven't already.
  18. Welcome Home! Azurolf
  19. Bug report section entry for this: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/tracker/issue-57125-virus-ladened-avertisement/ I've purchased a "supporter" membership; would have gotten it YEARS ago if I'd not been unaware of it : http://www.nexusmods.com/games/users/supporter/?
  20. "Download Manually" redirects, and leaves me on what appears to be a blank white page. Not getting the usual "save" or "open" pop- up window. So far, it's only happening with this recently added file (which is mine). http://www.nexusmods.com/emperorbattlefordune/mods/1/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Femperorbattlefordune%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D1&pUp=1 [Edit] File for new Nexus page submitted. May 05 [Edit] Emperor: Battle for Dune Nexus page added. Broken download. May 07 [Edit] File hidden due to broken download. May 08 [Edit] Reported for broken download. May 09 [Edit] "Broadsword calling Danny boy..." May 10 [Edit] File no longer hidden, encouraging users to report. Download still broken for me. May 11 [Edit] Tried repacking the files and uploading, with same results. Attempting additional report. Have received no acknowledgement of issue. May 12
  21. Gangrel: Anarch (Animalism was low priority, should have chosen the Anda Gangrel history.) Ventrue: Camarilla/Strauss (forfeited putting points in Security/Lock picking , to allow investment in both Firearms and Melee) Intended to do a City Gangrel run next, but I read mention of some of the major mods elaborating on the Sabbat content/ending. So I think I'll save the City Gangrel/Sabbat play through for that. I'd like to give vtm Redemption a shot as well.
  22. From the Nexus Mods Terms of Service: Nexus sites have quite a liberal content policy on what files are acceptable on the site but there are still rules all uploaders must adhere to. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in the file being removed from the site, the uploader's account being banned and if necessary all the details of the uploader being passed on to relevant authorities: Absolutely no copyrighted work is to be used without permission of the original creator. This includes content from other games, from DLCs, music creators or from other file authors. This also includes members from countries that do not recognise copyright laws. All files uploaded must have been created by the uploader or used with permission from the original author of the content. Such permission must be indicated in the Readme text attached to the file and/or on the Description page (or in the Description field for images), and must be obtained in advance, before uploading the file. If you cannot provide proof of consent then your file will be removed and your account is likely to be banned.Always provide appropriate credit to authors who have given you permission to use their content in your files both within the file description and within your file readme, even if said content was published as free to use. I believe that the file uploader interface states: ALWAYS CREDIT WORK THAT ISN'T YOURS If you have received permission to use someone elses assets in your files you should always credit them. If you don't credit assets you've used from other users you will be considered a thief and you're likely to be banned; so it's very important you credit the work of others that you have used. Note: crediting other people's work does not entitle you to use their work. You must always get permission from the creator of the work first before you upload it to the site. The uploader also currently features a checkbox that reads: "I testify that all the content in the files I am going to upload are my own or are used with the express permission of the original creators of the files I have used and I have properly credited the original creators in my ReadMe, and in the mod description or in the "Credits" text area of the "Distribution permission" section of this page. I understand and accept that I will be banned from this site if I am found to be lieing about this." You can check for existing file permissions on Nexus file pages, by clicking on the "PERMS" tab, in the "ACTIONS:" section of the file page. Or, sometimes the permissions will be stated in the mod description, or for older files, information on usage may be found in the readme file. It is the responsibility of the modder that wishes to use the assets of another modder, to seek permission. Not, the obligation of the original author to "police" the use of their files, or to request that an unauthorized edit be "taken down". I realize that this sort of misuse has become commonplace on the Steam Workshop and Moddb, but I can't help but feel that it is important that proper "mod etiquette", along with the sense of integrity possessed by this site, be maintained. -Thank You
