  1. Can you post a screenshot with just one of the Bijin mods (not AIO) active? Sometimes you can tell which head mesh it's trying to use, or if it's not using any. With Bijin, it should be pretty obvious if they're wrong. An ENB setting wouldn't cause the same kind of problem - it might make neck seams more obvious though. Also, you can toggle ENB on and off with Shift+F12 (usually) to see if that's the problem. I can't think of any INI settings that could cause it.
  2. No, the best way to uninstall a mod in Vortex is to use Vortex. Vortex allows you to disable a mod without deleting it completely if you want. The game won't be able to see it. Then you can uninstall it afterwards. Why would deleting it manually be better? You're likely to miss some files, especially for a mod as large as Holds The City Overhaul. You could go into File Manager afterwards to see if it missed anything, but that's not likely unless there's something wrong with Vortex. You may have missed removing the object LODs. That's the only reason I can think of that they would appear in the CK. They're found in Data\meshes\Terrain\Tamriel\Objects and Data\meshes\Terrain\Tamriel\Trees. If you've run DynDOLOD or LODGen, then you should run it again. The mods you've created shouldn't be affected, as long as you didn't add any of the Holds ESPs as a master. Your old save would more likely be corrupted by the fact that you removed a large mod in the middle of it. It may or may not work properly. You could use RaceMenu to save your face preset if that's all you want.
  3. I see. I just checked and there's no alpha channel. However, there's transparency, which TGA doesn't really support (well, not easily), so I guess PNG it is. I did notice that the original DirtFX.dds and FilthFX.dds files are in DXT3 format, not BC7. Were these the files you modified? TexConv can convert directly to PNG, but TexConvGUI is a bit awkward, and both versions that I tried didn't work. I find TexFactory much better and it can definitely do PNG. So if you change the files back to the original, does it work fine again? It does seems really weird that they would be applied to armor when they didn't before.
  4. Oops, you need to define it then: Race Property ArgonianRace Auto if Game.GetPlayer().GetRace() == ArgonianRace
  5. I don't know about the mod, but you shouldn't need to convert so many times. If you install Intel Texture Works Plugin for Photoshop, then you can open and save BC7 directly in Photoshop. If you have an older version of PS, then NVIDIA Texture Tools for Adobe Photoshop can work with BC3 (aka DXT5). You could also use TexFactory or TexConvGUI to do conversions outside of PS. It's better to pick a lossless format like TGA. Maybe you're missing the alpha channel? Have you taken a look at the optional dirt file for that mod?
  6. Try without the quotes, like this: if Game.GetPlayer().GetRace() == ArgonianRace
  7. Is it not working again? It was apparently fixed in version 0.4.3, which came out August 2019. RaceMenu was at version 0.3.2 at the time of the original post. Also, there's no NiOverride for SSE, because it's been integrated into skee64.dll. The Oldrim NiOverride definitely wouldn't work.
  8. That file is from Audio Overhaul for Skyrim SE. Since it says that it's manually installed, check in the SSE install folder: steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins. If it's not there, then it's a problem with Vortex itself.
  9. Don't use that guide. It's not a good method for diagnosing crashes at all, and the author basically solved it by fluke (Dragonborn wasn't installed). For one thing, the Papyrus log is not a crash log and is not very useful for finding crashes. For another thing, Dragonborn.esp doesn't even exist, so that error would always happen. The real DLC file is called Dragonborn.esm. Also, that step with the Windows Grep tool was unnecessary and not very informative. NMM, Mod Organizer and Vortex can alert you to missing masters, which is what the problem was. In Vortex, I think it shows up as an error if you install or enable a mod with missing masters. Unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward way to diagnose crashes. You can post your mod list here, but no guarantees. It could be incompatible mods or missing patches. Or it could just be too many mods. As for "taking too much time," crashes can be hard to trace, so you may well have to disable mods and test yourself. Skyrim modding does take some time commitment, especially if you have a lot of mods. Best advice: Read the requirements for each mod and be sure to follow any installation instructions.
  10. Make a new post. Posting a mod list helps a lot. For OP, the only answer is to buy the game first.
  11. A music replacer mod will disable the original Skyrim music so that you only ever hear the new tracks provided by the mod. A music addon mod will add new tracks so that you sometimes hear the original tracks and sometimes hear new tracks. I don't think music mods add or modify scripts.
  12. It's unknown because XPMSE was just updated last week and FNIS hasn't caught up yet. You could try an older version, like XPMSE 4.51. What's more important is the warnings. Warnings in FNIS should really be treated as errors. The worst one is SexyBanditCaptives. It's not compatible, so maybe it was made for SSE. Try disabling that first.
  13. Huh, that's good to know. I've seen other people post with similar problems before, but most people don't come back and say what fixed it (or maybe they never fixed it at all). So thanks.
  14. It's probably ENB. Test this by toggling effects on/off with Shift+F12. If it turns out that it is ENB causing it, then open up the ENB config menu with Shift+Enter. Under EFFECT, toggle the various effects on and off to see if it fixes it. If you're happy with the changes, hit Save Configuration.
  15. The CK doesn't handle face tintmasks very well. IIRC, it's a problem with image resolution. You could try resizing the warpaint mask to match your face texture resolution, but I don't know if that will work. You could also try resizing your warpaint mask down to the resolution that the CK generates the tintmask DDS file at, but this might look bad. You may need to Photoshop your own face tintmask. Generate the FaceGen data without the warpaint and then resize the resolutions to match (if necessary) and apply the warpaint to the generated DDS tintmask file. I've never done this, so you may have to play around with the transparency settings to get it to look right. Not sure if there's a better way to make your own tintmask.
  16. Maybe it's just buggy. You could try to start the next quest Blood's Honor by opening the console (~) and typing: player.setstage c04 10
  17. I usually get updates right away. Do you have auto-updates turned on for Skyrim SE and are you in online mode? Steam now tries to update before starting a game, as far as I know.
  18. When you return to Jorrvaskr, does Aela have any new greetings? That should indicate that the next round of radiant quests are available. She says: "I've been running interference for you around here. I don't think anyone's caught on to our little campaign. Yet.""Have you been bringing the battle to the Silver Hand, friend? I wish I could be there with you. Soon enough.""I hope the hunting goes well, brother/sister. We've got the cowards on their heels now."Then you have to do two new radiant quests. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for them to appear. And sometimes it just gets stuck. Source: UESP
  19. Yeah, I used to use UFO too. The one I've been hearing about lately is Nether's Follower Framework. I haven't tried it myself, but a lot of people recommend it. It's available for both Classic and SE.
  20. You're welcome! Yeah, games don't always post release notes when they update, especially if it's small. I check my Steam Downloads section every day, and saw that SSE had a download. Also, plenty of people are talking about it both on this forum and on Reddit. Also, you can view the version number in game by opening the menu, going to System, and looking in the lower-left corner. It's kind of hard to find if you don't know where it is.
  21. UFO is known to be unstable and many modders do not recommend installing it anymore. It seems that you've confirmed one reason not to use it. While moving Immersive Weapons below UFO may fix it, it will also undo anything that UFO has added to Aela. I think these are viable replacement follower overhauls: FollowerLivePackage (FLP) (and english re-translation)Extensible Follower Framework (EFF)Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks (iAFT)
  22. Skyrim SE was just updated to 1.5.97 two days ago. You'll need the latest version of SKSE64 (2.0.17). If you see 2.0.16 there, just hit refresh.
  23. Okay, I see how that's unique now. However, it can be explained. If you have the ESP for Bijin active, but the FaceGen meshes are missing or can't be seen by the game, then you'll get dark face. It will try to use the original FaceGen meshes that are contained in the vanilla BSAs, and since they don't match Bijin, boom. That's why I suggested checking the Data tab. If they're not there at all, then the game won't see them. Maybe they're in the wrong directory somehow. Or maybe they really are there and you did Ctrl+F4 in the CK while a different ESP was active and it overwrote the Bijin meshes with bad ones. Or maybe you accidentally installed the Oldrim versions (actually, I'm not sure if this would do it). Have you tried with say, just Bijin Warmaidens SE? Also, is your Skyrim Special Edition main folder clean? There shouldn't be any leftover files from NMM, Vortex or manual installs. Have you cleaned out your MO Overwrites folder?
