  1. Just something I want to throw out there about how I sleep: If it's night time and an inn is nearby, go rent a room and rest - unless you just slept. I always make sure to get around 9 hours of sleep in game when I'm sitting around the cities. Bed by 10-12, up at 7-8. If I go into a dungeon, it's early in the day and I normally get out at around 1am, then I hit the nearest inn and rest for a day or so. Same goes for heavy traveling. At most I I try to sleep every 2 days - thus keeping me in a city for around 3 days before heading out again. It's hard to keep a strict sleep schedule with no Essential Needs mod, but still something to use. Can't wait until we get that CK -.- I want a campsite like Oblivion.
  2. Can't say I blame him. It is pretty lame that Talos worship was banned. Don't blame him, blame the Altmer.
  3. "Guys, I wrote something that's over flowing with logical fallacies and nobody listened." Can't imagine why, OP. Also, wrong forum, bro.
  4. I liked the part where every tree looked the same. Tbh, that looked like garbage =/
  5. I use to keep up with the memes from the internet. Then I got off 4chan
  6. Hitting the ~ key and typing in kill. $60. Raging out on the forum goers who try to help you. Priceless.
  7. Yup! It actually helped me out a lot in the field so far and I just learned it o.o
  8. Hmm...I'm getting a pair of Gunnar's for Xmas so I can game longer without my eyes bleeding - thus allowing me to play more mods. Both.
  9. As an archer, I spent most of my time in first person because it's a lot easier to shoot, however, I enjoy spending my game time in third person (Because really, who doesn't?). With that, I thought "It's pretty annoying switching between each perspective just to fire an arrow...Why don't I use third person to fire all the time?" After spending about a day and a half in game shooting in Solitude, I figured out how to properly aim - and you will too! Shot 1: 4 paces back - in line with the other guards during the day. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/Zumtil/Shot1.jpg Aiming: Line up the right and bottom arrow points of the cross-hair with an imaginary triangle. The third point of this imaginary triangle is where the arrow will hit. (Using the target, aiming at the line between the red and white markers to the upper left) Shot 2: 10 paces back - in line with the third target dummy the guard hits all day. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/Zumtil/Shot2-1.jpg Aiming: Very easy shot. From around 9-14 paces, the arrow goes right in the middle of the cross-hair. Shot 3: 20 paces back - back against the wall and against that random table. (Probably the farthest I try to shoot from while out in the field as well) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/Zumtil/Shot3.jpg Aiming: You want line the top of the cross-hair slightly to the right as the arrow hits just left of this spot. The results: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/Zumtil/Results.jpg Head shot. Every time. Stealth: No pictures, but it works the same. The pupil of the eye is still the center of the cross hair - I have the eye pattern taken off via a mod and just have the pupil which makes it easier for imagining the four arrows around the pupil to align my shots. I know this will most likely fall on deaf ears as head shots and body shots don't make a difference at all. This is mainly for those people who really like seeing their well aimed arrows go through the heads of their victims. Plus, there most likely will be a mod that adds limb damage, so when that time comes, here you go :D
  10. Solitude. "Hello, I'm Gisli but you--" OMG SHUT THE **** UP! EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
  11. Changing better jumping and combat damage takes all of 2 minutes with TESSnip if you know what you're doing. Part of the appeal of the TES games - they have such a history of support that people begin modding them even BEFORE the game is released (see the SKSE thread for instance). I meant while on horses. Sorry for the fail grammar there ^.^; Let me rephrase that: Adding horse stats, horse combat, ability to talk while on horses, and better jumping on horses with just a few changes in code.
  12. Reading the last few pages of this thread my response is this: "Sorry Thane, didn't realize it was you." That. Should. Never. Happen!
  13. Light Armour. Even if you don't wear it; good way to throw points away Same for Heavy Armour.
  14. It's how the game handles far distances. Think of it like Minecraft - only a certain area around you loads up and as you get closer to another part, it loads up later keeping the area behind in its memory for when you pass again. It would be very taxing on any system to have arrows stuck in a tree loaded up all the time until it went over the horizon. Does it look like crap looking over the cliff in Solitude? Yes. Does it make it so we can play? Yes.
  15. http://www.nodiatis.com/pub/10.jpg Makes sense. If I wanted to be really technical, a healer who sits in the shadows and when the need arises, plucks people away with arrows and fire spells (Because Fire is a natural purger of the unclean! FOR THE EMPEROR!)
  16. Sounds to me like you rushed through the entire game to see if you can get to the end fastest...I'm still on one character at level 34 and I still have yet to see Riften and the area around it. I also haven't even done the Thieves guild, have no clue how to start the DB, haven't done the companions, and a whole lot more. Sorry Beth couldn't make a game that lasts forever when you rush through it all. (Reaching 100 hours play btw) And you can make yourself very specialized in skills; you just need the discipline to do it. My one character is a Bosmer who specs in Stealth, Archery, and Fire Magic. I have very little spells outside my Fire spells and Heal. Could I go out and buy all the spells? Sure, but my character doesn't use that branch, so she can't "use" them. If I want to use Frostbite and stuff, I will make a mage. As for your spoiler points: -I have had arrows stray off course. I'm not sure if it was a bug or not, but there it is. The lack of limb damage is a little strange...a complete downgrade from Fallout 3 =/. Arrow crafting? Really? I have over 2000 arrows spread over 4 quivers...I really don't need any more... -Magika doesn't regen with spells cocked for balance. You can sit there with two spells charged, wait for your mana pool to regen, then launch the spells, charge a new, launch those. It's a free two spells - which is -obviously- over powered for where Beth wanted Magic to fall. Spell failure would be interesting; perhaps we will see a mod for that. Okay? The Novice spells costs what? 30 magic a second without perks?
  17. Welcome aboard. And yeah, I can't wait to see what the modding community can do with this game. I have some weird fantasy that maybe; just maybe the game will be ridiculously easy to mod and the entire "You bought it for console" will just be a huge slap in the face. When I say easy, I mean, adding horse stats, combat, ability to talk, and better jumping with just a few changes in code. Even changing and adding perks with just a simple GUI. Hey, I can dream, right?
  18. So another Beth game needs to be modded out the wazoo in order to be enjoyable? Is anyone really all that surprised at this point? The aim is obviously at console gamers because those guys buy anything while the PC gamers are left wondering "Should we be getting paid for this amount of work?"
  19. Games have been getting released too early since consoles have had easy internet access that makes it possible to patch. Is this really surprising to people?
  20. Maybe there are the "Noble Vampires" in Skyrim, and they just blend in too well?
  21. The threads are getting pretty annoying...but hey, that one thread that actually has good content in it still comes around every so often.
  22. Pretty much the main issue I have with Skyrim right here. Cicero is still waiting outside that guys farm to get his wheel fixed. It's been almost a month in game....Unless that guy is taking a REALLY long time to gather his tools, I'm pretty sure Bethesda could have actually finished the quest.
  23. If you were a fly, would you fly towards a fly swatter? Some Dragons are just smart.
