  1. I don't think so. The other .esp has only .esm as masters. Bashed patch both .esm and .esp's. I'm beginning to think, I'm missing something...
  2. Then why the heck it only deletes some of them, and not all ? And why I can edit some other .esp, or bashed patch, without it being "castrated" by GECK ?
  3. So I'm trying to make new recipes using stuff from ACS (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41013), and some other mods, but every time I reopen my .esp in GECK, it removes those masters. Is there a way to fix this ?
  4. Only those that can be merged, majority can't. Those that can, are those mods that don't make some new stuff, areas, just change stuff, like various lists, item parameters, etc. Could be. Need more info.
  5. Well, those "door" closed for me after using "New Vegas Save Cleaner" (I have "Run the Lucky 38" too). You can't undo it, but you can disable them: - open console, - LMB on that shutter, - type "disable", (without the quote) hit enter and voila - shutter no more.
  6. Alien abduction :D On more serious note. Sometimes even one line can mess your game. FOOK, or MMUE changed one of buildings in Nelson, from private to public space (or vice versa), and every time I've opened the door, it CTD'd... In your case I suspect something changed cell, or worldspaces (my guess would be AWOP), and it didn't did it right.
  7. I remember that in Oblivion, you could create more tha 100 alchemy items at once, by editing Alchemy.xml, or some other file. Is something similar possible in New Vegas ?
  8. If you use CASM hotkey (F4 IIRC), you can set the number of saves to 5, or even less.
  9. It would be nice, if you could lock doors, or block them in some way, so that you could put some barrier between you, and people who want to put bullets in you. Yeah, I know: console -> LMB on doors -> "lock x", but it doesn't feel right. It probably would be a good idea, to forgo the XP reward for lockpicing the doors you just locked :)
  10. On another note, is there a mod, or something, that lets you see the actual damage dealt to enemies ?
  11. 1. I think it would work better, if only one Merged\Bashed patch was active. 2. Wrye Flash has option to merge FO3Edit patch, into Bashed Patch, but you should change their load order first.
  12. Well you got a LOT of mods, and couple of them are companion mods, so maybe something, somewhere overwrite something it wasn't suppose to. You can use FO3Edit to check your merged patch, to see if anything changed them. If FWE, MMM, or some other mod, has some companion helper like FOOK, use him to reset them.
  13. I know. But its me, and a lot of other people - FO3 isn't really modding friendly, especially heavy scripting mods, that need FOSE, are a no-no. Don't think so. And if you mean hardware, then nope - latest drivers, no overheating, more "power" than FO 3 needs, etc. Nope, did a clean install, and clean save, and the other "100 and one steps". Don't think so. I've tried various load orders, and even manually "clean" some of them. 1. On PC, with around 30 mods, some with heavy scripting ? 2. Like I said, my second play, was really nice, and almost CTD-less. Unfortunately, only to a point. Already did, my finds are in the second line. It's not "my" problem, its FO 3. And since I finished: "Take it Back!", things seem to be back to "normal".
  14. Yesterday I found another handy console command: tscr It's even more "problematic" than tai, but it was the only thing that let me finished: "Take it Back!" (CTD, after CTD, with a CTD). The "funny" thing is, that my second stab at FO 3, I got 0, literally zero crashes, freezes, what ever, during that "stroll" down the bridge. Yeah, I know I shocked my own self. Oh well, now I'm playing on Very Hard, so maybe it's because of that ;) So if you got an place\moment when you got frequent CTD use tai and tscr, let the game do its thing (at least as much as it can with scripting, and AI disabled), move a little from there, and use those commands again. Works like a charm.
  15. You tried this : http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1086/ ? xlive.dll isn't the only thing you need to change, to get rid of GFWL, so maybe that's it. It could be some folder\file ownership error. Using .ini files with info about hardware\settings, that are now not available, like BlackRampage suggested. Hard to tell.
  16. That sucks. Anyone can confirm\deny ?
  17. I've looked through its files. AP weapons don't use the AP enchantment as in 1.1, only the: "Ignores Normal Weapon Resistance" flag. Is this right ? If not, what should I use to make it work ? The enchantment (FOOKEnchEffectAPDR "Armor Piercing" [ENCH:0x014CFC]) ? The script (FOOKAPDRSCPT [sCPT:0x014CFE]) ? Both ?
  18. Nothing to be sorry about. Yes, you did. Thank you for trying. You don't say. Yeah, sometimes when that happens, I take their guns, so they're just running with knifes, and not wasting ammo. It bothers me because of what I wrote earlier (fixation). I can always additem some ammo. It just pisses me off, that they (companions, NPC's) are not doing what the should do, thus ruining my experience. Newer as in ? o_O
  19. You didn't understand. I know how to make them stop, but I want them to not do this at all because: - my companions can waste a crapton of ammo (including the veeery hard to find .303 for Bren Gun), and stay fixated on that spot, - NPC's stay fixated on that spot, so it's like shooting fish in the barrel.
  20. FOOK has that Gary dude outside Megaton (on the left), he can reset your companions. He can also automatically move their "using" inventory, and the carried stuff remains on the follower, even after the reset. So if they're a little packmule-ish, you don't need to worry :)
  21. lol, yesterday a whole lot of Raiders, killed an Enclave patrol, took their stuff, and disintegrated one of them with their own plasma rifle :D. Raiders too were shooting at nothing.
  22. Beside those two links, I've mentioned 4 other things you could do, and also mentioned about standard steps for FO3 crash-less play. So what did you do ?
  23. Leveled up, got Explorer (and in open Wasteland nonetheless) - nothing bad happened, not even a lag. But I've already discovered ~50% of markers.
  24. Sometimes, after I disintegrate some poor bastard (laser, plasma, it doesn't matter), my companions keep shooting at that spot. Even after a while, and cell respawn, I got NPC's shooting at nothing in that same spot. I tried to disable the remains (skeleton, eyeball, etc), but it didn't seemed to work. Any ideas ?
