Still no luck today. i even went as far as buying alllllll the DLC to make sure my game was up to date.. now i can't even play those files because they won't check off. lol. I guess the next thing to do would be fresh reinstall. Never had this kind of trouble with fallout before. Hoping this works. Thanks for trying to help

Yeah i think so. I installed through steam and have auto update on so i don't think that's the issue. Could it be install location? I remember hearing awhile back that certain mods had issues with fallout if it was installed on the C: drive.

Still getting crashes even with NMM but at least it sends me a handy tracelog to figure out my issues The first part appears in caps and reads " BOSS_API_ERROR_FILE_WRITE_FAIL: C:\users\Me\appdata\local\falloutNV\plugins.text" cannot be written to!" I can only guess the game is having troublle reading my mods.. also i noticed that my fallout NV esm and my moonshadow race mod are the only files that have a load order number.. everything else is blank and it just so happens the blank ones are the ones not loading up.. no idea how to fix this either

So i've been using the nexus for a few years and i've downloaded tons of mods for fallout 3,skyrim and new vegas. I had uninstalled NV about a year ago and just got back into it. Downloaded about 5 mods,manually installed them. they all seem to be in the proper location but i've only been able to get one of them to stay active. This is my small list of mods i added last night. Was hoping to play them but everytime i close the data files tab on my launcher my mods uncheck FalloutNV.esm GeonoxT3Armors.esp Lings.Esm LingsPrettyThings.esp MoonshadowRace.esp I had to download lings mods from a moddb website link because his mods are down on the nexus unfortunately. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. The only active mods are the NV ESM itself and MoonshadowRace.esp. everything else remains unchecked very very stubbornly. Tried FOMM.. a different issue i think.. but it's constantly crashing when i try editing the load order.. funny enough..when i launch the game through FOMM i have no issues.. ANyways. any help i can get i will accept. Everytime i get back into modding the game i miss something. this one i can't figure out on my own.

Granted but you lose all knowledge of everything (and i mean everything) else. your a vegetable.. and you don't even know what that is.. i wish i could smell colors

Used to play this game,stopped for awhile because it was to easy. I had hoped between the time i stopped that people here would have developed new strategy..however i am currently the last poster yet again..will i ever meet my match?.. WIN

WaaaAARGH!!..Today me and mutant friends had a great battle.. We ripped humans apart like helpless cattle! They put up a fight and we lost many friends.. but they all died!! HAHAH!! Now we eat till the night ends!! I sit on my makeshift chair made of human leftover bodyparts.. While chewing and nawing on a random victims heart!! These arms are good and these legs are tasty.. But the skull is crunchy and the eyeballs are pasty!! Bad human meat,taste like feral ghoul.. Angry at nasty dead meat, but super mutant keeps his cool.. I was in the middle of training at fort knox when it happened. Thought it was a drill at first,when i saw the footage on TV i couldn't beleive it.. and i was there early enough to catch the 2nd plane hit . Watching something like that makes the brain go"This isn't real..but it is real... but it can't be real...but it is"

i had a decently long answer for "Do i feel i am ready to take care of kids" However the question is do i want kids..and so the answer is simple..not right now.. I'm 26.. still considered a young adult with hopefully many years down the road to decide. My little brother who is three years younger than me has two kids. Love them both like they were my own..but i see how my brother struggles to put food on the table while maintaining his sanity. he's a good comparison since we both have the same job,same pay and the only difference in income is a monthly govt paycheck i recieve of a few hundred bucks. Considering we have the income pretty equal.. While he is stressing on a daily basis to raise his family..paying bills he owed last month so he can worry about this month..i have money in the bank..a good amount of spending money..the only mouths i have to feed or the couple of housepets i own and on my off day..i don't have a 3 year old sneaking me in the nuts while i'm sleeping just to say good morning. I'll wait until my mid 30's. That's when my parents had me. By that time i will have had much time to myself and enough time left for others.

In self defense and/or in fear of your life IS the law here in louisiana. In any other attempt or success in taking someone elses life is against the law. The law also applies in many other states. An example would be a man breaking into your home and you gun him down. You will have to prove to the court that you had a legit fear for your life and telling the court "well the man was jumping through my window" will not cut it. Sitting law on the bench for a moment, i'd extend the invitation of death to anyone putting those i love in danger and those walking into my home uninvited. is it right to kill the man breaking into my home? perhaps he was starving for food or maybe he's a hard working man who lost everything and has resorted to crime to support his family.. or maybe it's a stupid child who thinks breaking 150 dollar a pane windows is fun and exciting.. or is it simply wrong to take human life and resort to more social strategies.. Say instead of shooting the intruder i calmly talk to him,tell him that i will not do anything stupid and the house is his to raid..if i had kids i'd tell him..and beg him to not hurt them..perhaps this would work.. or perhaps the man is insane and wishes to hurt people and their children.. or perhaps the stupid child with the baseball bat likes destroying your priceless china and since you took the social route,the desperate starving man who wants to bring your food into his house now has the weapon you dropped to show your trustworthy..and days later when your family is looking over your grave,thy'll remember you by the tombstone engraving that reads "it's wrong to kill..period". My opinion..deciding what is wrong and right as far as killing goes.. is a point of view.. a highly opinionated point of view where 2 sides will never see eye to eye and ironically..both sides have it wrong.

I had to use system restore recently and format a good portion of my data. I was able to keep steam and most of my games and file formats luckily however i had to reinstall FOMM and NVSE. The installations are easy as cake but for some reason my FOMM doesn't even pickup NVSE. Usually i am able to launch new vegas via the NVSE tab on the manager but it's not there this time around,so i went to the file tab and tried launching it from there but FOMM says " NVSE does not appear to be installed". My guess was that for some reason it's not reading the correct file path but i noticed it still loaded my mods and correct textures by using the default FOMM launcher so now i have no idea. I can launch the game without FOMM using the script extender directly but without my archiveinvalidation my textures come out all messy and if i launch the game from the FOMM my textures come out fine but since i don't have script extender working most of my mods are broken including my pipboy replacer which pretty much ends the experience for me. i am sure there is a fix for this because i remember doing it before..sadly.. i don't remember how i did it. lol EDIT: Figured this one out eventually. Stayed up all morning wondering what i missed. Turned out that the shortcut i was using to my NVSE was to my old NV directory. When i reinstalled the game it was put in a different file path and i didn't bother to realize this..so i merged the two directories together and now everythig is gravy. Thanks Uncle Roe,your the best.

I used to be big on roaming the waste hunting down raider and outcast patrols. I had spotted an outcast patrol and decided to sneak up on them with my chinese stealth suit and drop a few grenades.. but when i got to the patrol they were all suddenly dead and a few had missing limbs. I looked around for deathclaws and scorpions but didn't find anything. Was odd..plus whatever killed them had to do it fast since i didn't hear gunfire.

Well since he's not banned you could try looking for an email on his account here and contacting him yourself. If no email,you can always try leaving him a message on his profile and hoping he has email notifiction of new messages posted.

lol i saw that someones first quest was delivering the amulet.. i didn't do that until i was running the DB lol. First quest for me was actually killing for the dark brotherhood..soon as i left the city i went visit the armor shops and book stores.. i don't remember which one i killed..but as soon as i did the message that someone had watched me do it popped up and i panicked..ironically the psychic patrol guards of the empire who know when you kill people even if they're patrolling across the town..popped up and tried to arrest me..tried to..anyways yes.. my first quest was killing that poor sap at ill omen.

Picture was taken not to far from the imperial city. if you know of the aranmanthi home mod,that's actually part of it behind me.. however i modified the map and made some changes to fit my evil needs..

Someone has probally said this before..but my saddest most disappointing moment during the dark brotherhood quest was when i realized as the top dog..my job was to listen to some dead grandma issue me orders in which i then tell to this really tall ugly elf chick..then i sit on my butt for a week and do it all over again..i tried asking for a demotion but she kept praising me and saying it was an honor to be in my presence....ahh....she will be missed..

True.. it's a shame the only hot vanilla female bites it 10 seconds into the game. i tried rezzing her but like the emperor,their deaths are scripted and can't be undone without CSing it..which i haven't bothered with since all the other modders around the site have added hot warriors for me to download anyways..

I'm not really a big roleplayer but i do have a defined main char,lets see.. He carries my name..Joseph.. he is a Sith Lord who has traveled from an oblivion plane known as Omega..He has opened a giant obby gate on the front porch of the empire and is quickly converting the world into one giant oblivion plane(thanks to modding done in the CS kit)..he has his own sith army which is currently killing anything without a red lightsaber in or around your town. He is the black hand listener(of course) and Storm ranked shadowknight (return of shadows mod) but plans on overthrowing and enslaving both factions as the only faction that will rule the empire is the sith..He purposely gained the trust of the empire to defeat mehrunes dagon..because mehrunes was all greedy and again..the sith are the only evil greedy faction that will survive this save file...He controls the power to petrify anyone and return the dead to life at his will (which is only done if he kills a potential slave) He has a queen..and she was jealous of all the other queens he had..so she killed them..all.. So yeah..not a big RPer but eh..that's my main in a nutshell.

a big wtf moment for me would be my first encounter with sheogorath.. since i slapped him in the face and he skyrocketed into the air..then left me to fall to my death looney toons style..i figured i was smooth by using godmode through the console..but it seems sheo's wrath surpasses the realm of pixels and crosses into your reality.. because i got smushed.. i have a 70k bounty now and people still praise me as the champion of cyrodiil. apparently you cannot kill mehrunes evil with cheats.. i tried using /kill on him and my game crashed.. he really is immortal... My 2nd playthrough during the clearing of the kvatch area where you fight all the scamps, i watched my entire party of kvatch knights kill each other and everytime someone died they screamed "MURDERDER!!" then attacked the guy who got the last kill.. then attacked the guy who killed him..etc.. It's not a vanilla oblivion moment..but i modded the factions of all dremora summons..so that when they do summon,it attacks them instead of me..

you could use /resurrect in the console but it prob won't change the quest.. matter of fact..dave will most likely attack you. Good thing you saved.. for the future.. if it's another persons property,no matter what it is.. if you touch it..expect bad things to happen lol.

First time around i also bypassed his security and tossed an over powered rifle round into his chest.. exploded like a rotting flesh pinata..Then i also reloaded my game and played through..though i still ended up betraying him and using Yes Man as my weapon of destruction..If the game had allowed me to play after beating it..i'da probally betrayed yes man and modded my own lil army of indestructable toasters.
