Now I'll say this....my daughter is a kewl little chick! She got me FONV and other games I wanted for Christmas. I tried to dissuade her by saying it was too buggy & expensive, but I was thrilled when I opened it Christmas morning. I didn't realize how much I really did want it, lol I've actually liked it almost as much as Oblivion; more than I thought I would. It holds my attention way better than FO3 did. Now for Valentine's Day, I open the pretty bag and what should be inside but the FONV Official Game Guide :confused: I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I've NEVER used a game guide! So now it sits here next to me and I look at it, it looks at me.... I don't want all the spoilers and info on the game. It might ruin my gaming experience. Plus I'm just cocky enough to think I don't need a game guide or strategy book, lol :tongue: I do see some value in it for things I've already done, to go back and check if I got everything or missed something. But the temptation is there sometimes to look at something I haven't encountered. I don't put down those who do use it, it's just not for me, except in the above instance. It's a great book though, chock full of useful information, that's for sure. What about you, do you use the strategy/game guides, would you? Why or why not?

I love the pillows, bag and flowers! Heck they all look very nice. I need the undermat you made for mama-in-law. I have a towel under my dish drain too, lol I'm telling you, you should hit up ebay. I bet the little animals would sell well, as would the above. Thanks for sharing! You're so talented Weather Girl :thumbsup:

Brigand, I'm giving you kudos for being an all around helpful person! I've seen you quite a bit in the FONV mod threads and you are always so kind and willing to lend a hand. So kudos and adding you as a friend. Plus you know MDC519 and he's another great dude :o)

Custard & Burgers! That's so romantic, did you guys go to Culvers, or do you have it where you are? We love it here. I'm going to go look at your masterpieces. I saw on the 10 day forecast, it's going to be SIXTY EIGHT here this week!! Can you believe that?? I'm glad you didn't slip & fall. Lord knows until the great melt, everytime I opened my front door, I was taking my life in my hands, lol

I gathered. I'm having trouble finding tutorials on creating companions, so I'm already confused, lol I want to give shouts to my friends and mentors thru her dialogue. I think for you, she'll say-"my thanks to the friggin master of fatality!" when she's being sarcastic & flippant with someone, lol

CT, that baby pic is ADORABLE!! Thank you for posting & sharing your baby awesomeness with us :o) I'll be looking forward to those coming up. My favorite show is usually a reality show. I teach psychology so the interactions fascinate me. I should watch NCIS since I'll be teaching Forensic Psych in the fall. I didn't realize that abt Skyrim. I just hope it lives up to our grand expectations, lol

You know Fatal, I like your style. I'm adding you as a friend if you don't mind :o) Because of you and that thread you started, I've decided to finally learn to mod by making an African American companion with GECK. I don't know how it will turn out, or if I can do it. But hopefully l can and there will be interest in it. Thanks for being my catalyst!

Well I didn't check out the faces, but for some reason, the graphics didn't look all that good to me. I hope I'm wrong about that. Oblivion did spoil me with the gorgeous vistas.

I can't complain Sly. I actually have a bit of time to fool around here & guess what?! I want to make a companion for FONV! I just got GECK. Don't know how I'll do, but we'll see. I got it for Xmas & I haven't played anything else since. It captivates me much more than FO3 did. I think I burnt myself out on OB. Takin a break, but I will check out your mods for later when I go back. Good to C-U!

I didn't even know Keely had grenades until after I'd blown the place up. I had my own. But instead, I used a long fused stick of dynamite, got close enough to throw, then ran like hell and ducked into the hole in the wall leading into the cavern. That was the ONLY way I didn't get fried. As for my companions, they are essential and good thing, it was every man/woman for him/herself once that dyno was thrown, lol

New Vegas files under SteamApps/common/fallout new vegas= 9.18 GB (9,862,895,362 bytes) Data folder only (full of mods)= 9.04 GB (9,709,883,392 bytes) 2461 files, 402 folders So yeah, gotta a lot and almost daily adding more :thumbsup: Of course this doesn't count the separate folder I keep all original mod files and folders in or my saved game folder. Add them all together and I'm getting up there.

Actually I think I'm like Level 20 now. Cass and I went into Van Graff's and just mowed 'em down, lol! She passed out, but I didn' t even lose 1/2 my life. Of course I have my "Nasty Grandpa" gun to thank, but they were a piece of cake. I even did it twice, cause even I couldn't believe it! It was mad fun, especially with the Bloody Mess perk. I was so cocky, I didn't even take all the guns at first. Some were too cheap to bother with :tongue: I do agree though, that the more challenging the area, the more satisfaction with the loot, even if it's some sensor modules or something. I enjoy looting period, so anyplace I can get good stuff makes me happy :pirate:
