  1. I'm assuming you swapped to the BG3 Patch 6 branch that Larian said. You might have the opposite problem, you may have a mod that is updated for Patch 7 and isn't working on Patch 6. Can you check your modsettings.lsx file (location is above) after Vortex has exported it and before the game has been run. Post it here if you like too so I can take a look.
  2. What does 'open file list' show? This was caused, at least for me, by using a mod that was outside of the normal Mods folder. It didn't cause a problem in my case but the game has found files that wouldn't normally be there on a clean install.
  3. Things seem to be working fine alongside each other. There is no manual ordering mechanic inside of the ingame mod manager - their ordering is based on dependency data when the mod was uploaded through their toolset. Vortex now supports ordering of the mods that are added via the ingame manager, but we are yet to confirm if the game respects that order or whether it uses it's dependency data regardless. Mods from Nexus don't have such metadata and so manual ordering is all we've got to play with.
  4. When the game starts, it does some very basic checks on the modsettings.lsx file, which is normally located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public. There are a few things that I know of that will definitely cause a reset, which means the game isn't happy about something and it's better to remove and disable everything. Load up that file after you've exported from Vortex, start the game and if after a few seconds in it's been reset, then you've got a mod that is causing it.
  5. It's the problem with the game at the moment as a lot of mods aren't updated to work with Patch 7. See https://wiki.bg3.community/en/Tutorials/patch7-troubleshooting for some more troubleshooting information. Make sure all mods are up to date within Vortex and then, unfortunately, you'll need to disable mods and see when it breaks. Sorry it's not much more helpful, but it's not something we can automate as there is a lack of information. As time goes on, and authors update their mods, it'll get easier.
  6. We have a fix in place for this and internally testing now. We should be able to get it out to everyone tomorrow with a new build of Vortex. Thanks for bearing with us.
  7. What version of Vortex are you on, it looks super old...? Please update to latest (1.12.3 at time of writing)
  8. Sometimes Vortex won't check straight away depending on when it last checked, this is to avoid spamming our servers. You can try this... That little button will force an extensions update check, hope that helps!
  9. Please see the below post for fix information. Tldr; update is out, restart Vortex, job done!

  11. Thanks for the information. As always, if your mods are working and you don't want cutting edge game updates, then it is always safer to hold off for a while.

  15. Hey everyone, First of all, thank you for your patience and extra thanks to the forum members that were keeping the hordes at bay while we worked as quick as we could to get a fix sorted! It's much appreciated when we need to keep an eye on a lot of chats in a lot of different places alongside actually getting the dev work done. Secondly, the update is done! A restart of Vortex should be all that is needed to pull down the latest version. After the update, this can be checked by going to Extensions, clicking Show Bundled, finding Baldur's Gate 3 and it should say 1.5.1 and not the previous 1.4.2. I'm going to give a part apology for it taking this long. Arguably, 5 days after game update isn't that long, but it is frustrating for us (as well as you) when we don't get any notice from the game devs and we couldn't get any access to the closed beta. I really did try!! We've done the best we can to get this out ASAP and it's even more complex that we need to support Patch 6 and Patch 7 due to the fact that Larian has let people stay on Patch 6 while mods are updated and bugs are ironed out. This update should take your existing load order and write the modsettings.lsx file in the correct format for the discovered game version. The updated extension also supports ordering of mods that were installed with the in-game mod manager (IGMM) that was introduced in Patch 7. These are shown as 'Not managed by Vortex' but can still be ordered the same as if Vortex had installed them. We can, however, only do so much! We wanted to get this version out so people can get back up and running but we are aware that it is early days of Patch 7. For example, the famous ModFixer mod is no longer required but if it's currently installed, it shouldn't hurt (that is Larian's official line). Some mods do have their own implementation of ModFixer that does cause problems. If problems are found by the game when it's launched, then the modsettings.lsx file is reset and the only way is to find what mods are causing the reset. This can be for a few reasons, such invalid UUID format, use of now deprecated Type element, incorrect use of the ModFixer workaround etc. This excellent community troubleshooting wiki can help to get up and running and most mods will be fixed by the authors as time goes on. Please let us know what you find out and please poke any mod authors that do need to update their mods to get compatibility to where it needs to be ASAP. Thanks insomnious and the Vortex team
  16. Shouldn't be much longer! Testing it internally now, if anyone is online and wants to help us, please get in touch on here or on Discord. Thanks for your patience
  17. I've released a new version of the Starfield extension (1.10.0) and this supports the latest save game format. Rebooting Vortex should be enough to get the latest version automatically. If not, you can download it manually from Nexus Mods or GitHub. Please let me know if any problems.
  18. Nagev is on holiday this week but let me see what I can find.
  19. Working on this today, thanks for the report!
  20. Hey @welchyboy101, what version of Vortex are you running? Thanks
  21. Hi @Nightcactus What version of Vortex are you using? and if possible, can you attach your log file please? This can be found in %APPDATA%\Vortex (which you can put into Start > Run to open the folder) and is normally located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Vortex. The log file will be called vortex.log. Thanks
