  1. "Do you want the game to be more realistic" is really a bad question. The Idea of realism really changes from person to person and yet alone one might like how it sounds, one might also not really enjoy it's in game effects. It's like asking "do you want your game to look beautiful?" Yes I do, but beauty is a really matter of taste? How am I supposed to know that we have the same taste? So, in my opinion, questions should be much more complicated than do you want this or do you want that.
  2. Depends on how closely you're looking at it and the object's size is also important. So basically these are all situational things, higher resolution doesn't necessarily mean it's always better. Sorry for the double post also.
  3. R9 295X2 is a dual GPU card. It doesn't actually have 8GB of VRAM. That "8GB VRAM" you're talking here gets split between GPU0 and GPU1 and then when you start playing games the info(basically your VRAM usage) gets mirrored to both GPUs, meaning that you might have "technically" 8GB VRAM but you will also use double the VRAM than before. So in a short sentence, if you're Skyrim was using 3.5GB VRAM before, it will now use 7GB. Meaning that you will only have 1GB VRAM left to split between two GPUs. And you should also know that 295X2 basically consists of dual 290X on a single PCB which is kinda the AMD equivalent of GTX 980 SLI. So unlike what you said, GTX980 is not better than 295X2, it's not even close to it. 295X2 is almost twice as faster than a single GTX980. So in short sentence; No, 295X2 doesn't have more VRAM than GTX980, both have equal. No, GTX980 is not better than 295X2 performance wise, not even remotely close.
  4. It's obvious that he misunderstood the question since it is not that clear. "4K Textures on 1080p Resolution" would be a much better title for this thread. He just basically said that you can not get 4K resolution on a 1080P that's all, it's not wrong, it's just not the answer of the question asked here, that's all. You don't need to be so aggressive about it.
  5. I own all DLCs but I didn't even finish the vanilla game. And I've been playing the game for 3 years. I just walk around. LOL.
  6. Install any ENB you like and just disable the heavy FPS options such as SSAO and DOF.
  7. He has a predefined profile for these kind of things, mainly consists of 10-15 visual mods(major ones), and then he correctly installs the ENB with the suggested settings and mods, and then loads a save on a specific location he wants to shoot, then do the same thing for vanilla. Voila. Transition between two videos are pretty easy to do, I'm sure you'll be amazed what you can do if you just take a look at Sony Vegas. I guess he uses the free camera mod(tfc command) to take shots like that. And timescale command to take timelapse shots.
  8. You want the game to remember the earlier progresses in other saves?
  9. ECE had a similar preset if I'm not mistaken. You'll need to download a couple of Beauty mods tho.
  10. If you read my post carefully you will eventually understand that I said no such thing. I only said that if you're planning to buy a brand new GPU(that has been discontinued) and sell it in the future, you're gonna have a bad time. 9xx series are based on new architecture, called Maxwell, that's why 7xx series(Kepler GPUs) are considered old tech, not because they are just old series. This is why you're seeing reduced prices on current 7xx series cards because they are trying to sell every last one of them. If you can get a GTX780 or 780Ti on secondhand for cheap, just go for it. They are still legit GPUs, but don't try to buy a brand new 7xx series. You'll lose more that way.
  11. By then, in my opinion, you're gonna have some hard times selling it, from now on Kepler based GPUs(or basically GTX 700 series) are discontinued. In other words, they are old and they won't be appealing unless they are ridiculously cheap.
  12. NVIDIA will soon release GTX 960(3 months or so), it will be in the same price range with GTX 760 and it will also be much better than it. Currently it is not really good idea to buy any Kepler GPU unless if you're getting it really really cheap.
  13. It's really a bad time to upgrade GPU. At least If you're searching for an entry level card. Of course if you got the money and searching for a premium card then GTX970 is the way to go.
  14. I've been wondering this for a long time. Are there any guides for this? I got racemenu installed but I never managed to achieve the look I see in screenshots.
  15. That's why I don't like Requiem. It adds a lot of great features, and then these bad ones you have to suck up.
  16. Once you start modding I think they all look beautiful. But I think Mindi Badweyn is pretty cutie.
  17. This can go both ways, imagine you just started the game, you're just a whelp LVL1 dude, you know nothing, you got no skills, you're no hero. You're lurking around the woods in late hours, and suddenly there is huge spider right in front of you, I actually s#*! my pants in a situation like that. I always thought that the "sanity" mechanic from Amnesia series would actually become a good immersive mod for Skyrim. Lower sanity levels can have effects on your screen just like hypothermia did in Frostfall, making your screen blurry towards center.
  18. I really don't wanna jinx it but except the fact that I still get random 1 or 2 crashes in a week, my Skyrim seems to be pretty stable. But unlike you guys I don't have that amount of mods, I only have 120 mods if we don't count texture replacers as mods(to give you an idea, my mods folder in MO is around 28GB[optimized] and got around 30 mods in MCM). I only have 1 profile since I always play as an Archer/Hunter. I don't use FNIS, SkyRE, Reproccer or those kind of things, not my taste. I picked every mod I installed carefully, read its thread about any issues, bugs or compatibility. I had to make some sacrifices, couldn't use some of the mods I want, but when you think of it, it doesn't make any good if I have the mod I want but I crash every hour or so. So I had to let go some of them. And then when I'm %100 sure that I want something and I know it's gonna work, then I install it. So It actually took me almost 1 month to get Skyrim work with these mods. But I must say I'm pretty happy with it. I took benchmarks at 5 different FPS heavy locations(3 times each, just to see FPS fluctuation) after every visual mod I installed. I crafted my own INI files. I usually take a look at every file in a mod, and if I don't like it or I don't think that I need some of it or if it's too performance heavy, I completely remove or edit it. Long story short, I have complete power over any mod I install except their scripts. And I never unpack any bsa file if it doesn't conflict with another mod, although I have to unpack it before I check if it conflicts or not. If it doesn't, and there is nothing I'm gonna change, I just leave it like that. Using Serenity ENB currently, one might say that it's quite performance heavy but I still get smooth 30+FPS in all areas. 4670k @ 4600MHz 280X Toxic OC@Core 1200MHz, Memory 1750MHz (can't push it any further, if I do I get artifact error) Running the both game and mods on SSD. I think I'm gonna upgrade my GPU soon, maybe I'll get 970SLI or something better than 980 on NVIDIA(if they ever release a Ti version of it). Then I will try 4K downsample at 1080P. See how it works.
  19. Any of you guys have suggestions for these? I guess 2 of them would be around Riften(hence the "Riften lag") and Morthal swamps, but I'm unclear about the rest.
  20. Having a monitor of only 60HZ won't stop your PC achieving more than 60 FPS. You just won't see the difference that's all.
  21. Well, your PC specs are actually really good for a laptop, you should be playing without a problem. Don't really know what you mean by "sorta lag" but the only thing that comes to my mind maybe it is the mouse acceleration? Try to disable it, gameplay might feel more smooth.
  22. CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($334.99 @ Newegg) 1 CPU Cooler: Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($99.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($204.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory ($182.99 @ Newegg) 2 Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($180.98 @ Newegg) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($345.91 @ Newegg) 3 Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($345.91 @ Newegg) 3 Total: $1682.76 1 4770K or 4670K doesn't really make any difference in Skyrim. Of course, you're gonna have to OC. Something around 4.6 is quite enough, cooler is good enough. 2 You don't really need 16GB Memory, just throwing it out there, 8 will most likely do the same job. It's just a preference. 3 GTX 970 SLI is the way to go for complete new systems. It might be debatable due to obvious reasons, if you don't feel like doing an SLI, then your choice is GTX 980. This is pretty much how I'm gonna upgrade my current specs.
  23. 970 SLI will be the most favorable configuration type this year. It is also quiet powerful that I'm sure you can even downsample from 2160p to 1080P, that is like the best quality of image you can get. You're gonna have some problems with it first, but once you achieve a good profile then you'll be very pleased. There is a lot of people getting SLIs or CFs just for K ENB. Meaning, it does work with ENBs.
