  1. You probably unpacked the BSA file, apparently NV don't like it when EGM/tri files are outside a BSA file. These files deal with the hair sitting on and morphing to the head correctly.the head correctly. The wearing hats/helmets making you bold is because they need a separate hair made for hats and probably don't have one so it uses the default bold. TBH would have to recommend Mikitos for hairs, most the hairs have pretty good hat models compared to lings.
  2. The actually cell needs to be set to allow fast travel, fast travel anywhere mod probably just check the cells allowing fast travel.

  6. Steam has a build in back up feature designed to burn to disk, it will separate them into 700mb cd size or single layer 4.whatever gig for you. The reason ppl are pirating isn't steam, steam is the reason more are detected, since like Thandal was saying if someone says "I'm using the not steam version of Oblivion", that's the disk version,. If they say non steam or disk and not steam version for New Vegas, well they downloaded/pirated since even disk requires Steam activation and installation. EDIT: New vegas is also back on steam sale at £9 (70% off) and DLC £2.24 for any one interested.

  8. Whats more annoying is "I only pirated it to test it and I am going to buy". You can understand trying the game before you buy on some level (not condoning piracy just saying can understand it) but then they come to the forums or chat asking about full modding ect with the same excuse when found out. When they have got to the stage of wanting mods, surely they know they like the game and should have brought it. Its just coming up with an extra BS excuse to justify it to themselves.
  9. Firstly posting load order helps to see if ppl recognize any conflicts, but to see if anything edits that particular cell, use FNVedit and load your load list and search for the cell. Think is called "GSsaloon"

  12. Its inside the mesh BSA in the same folder location, that's where most meshes and animation files are stored. Use FOMM>tools BSA browser and open the bsa file then find the skeleton and extract it to somewhere.

  16. There was a patch for NV yesterday and new version of GECK needed, 1.4 that is probably the reason.

  18. Did you actually activate the mod ( check the ESP) ? If not goto data in the launcher and make sure its checked or check it in FOMM. Then launch the game.
  19. first falloutNV.esm should ALWAYS be at the top of the load order, run BOSS to sort out your load order.
  20. Bethesda's official website could do with some updating to as well sadly since it still points to v 1.1 :/
