  1. By any chance have you ever played Action DooM 2: Urban Brawl? I do not know if you focus only on the original games, but this is definitely worth a try. The graphics look just like a graphic novel, and it plays pretty well .

    Thanks for the info.

I try to stay away from TCs though. I prefer Doom to look like Doom.

I am however working on a mod that adds many things to the game, but I've taken care to be sure the new elements stay within the original atmosphere of the game.

  2. Well, since they're now using an engine of their own design I would imagine that they would have more ability to make it stable.

That's a very good point. It's their engine, so if they want it to do something they should well be able to make it do it.

  3. I made a comment jokingly earlier in the thread, but now I see some more inflammatory comments appearing so I'd just like to clarify my opinion.

Being a Yank, I honestly felt as indifferent about the Royal Wedding as I would if two American celebrities were being wed; however I do understand that for Brits this sort of thing is steeped in honored traditions which the people take great pride in and I do not belittle that. It simply just doesn't feel important to me here in Ohio is all.

  4. I see from the pics why you're concerned; it definitely looks like it's seen better times.

It's a shame that you can't open it to check since most vendors won't accept a software return if the seal has been broken.

    Airport x-ray perhaps?

It's a shame they don't use those jewel cases more often, the cheap sonuvaguns.

Sorry I can't be more helpful...

  5. If it came in a regular paperboard box, perhaps the discs are in those paper sleeves that they tend to use. If such is the case, then they could possibly be undamaged despite the fact that you can hear them moving around. This was the case when I bought the GOTY version originally, though (following a robbery) when I bought it the second time it was packaged in a very nice four-segment plastic jewel case.
  6. Just install OBSE to the Nehrim folder exactly as you would to the default Oblivion folder; the Nehrim launcher should then automatically detect its presence there.

The Nehrim launcher should also give you the option whether or not to use OBSE.

  7. Why would anyone threathen an awesome site like this? D:

Because he's 30 years old and still living in his mother's basement. She keeps yelling at him to get a job and take out the trash. For a fleeting moment, attacking the Nexus makes him feel manly.

  8. Advanced AI scripts won't cause a slowdown? Well I guess it's not as extreme as a RTS game. I have an AI mod for Dawn of War and it makes a noticable different in the framerate.

So where in the load order should this go? Just below the Main file?

I guess I don't need Emu's Marksman Advanced mod or that Real Time mod anymore... or more gold in chests mod n' w/e.

I doubt that the AI scripts are that advanced.http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/tongue.gif The only thing that I noted causing a drop in framerate was the simple fact that there will be more NPCs in dungeon cells. Also, the more companions you have with you (and especially if they're wearing lots of shiny custom outfits) will have an impact on FPS.

Put Francesco's somewhere near the end of your load order and you should be fine. If you use it with MMM I think it should load before MMM since there are versions of MMM specifically designed to work with Francesco's.

  9. There's all kind of versions and types and SI this and that so it's all kinda confusing(don't have SI btw). Is Francesco's Leveled creatures an OMOD? How do you choose *options* from a single file.

What's the way smaller Francesco's Leveled Creatures file about?

Also, do these cause any FPS slowdown?

Hey c'mon, don't bail on me now. I need insight

Francesco's has two files that are required: one contains the plug-in files and the larger one is the textures and meshes. You need both.

When installing Francesco's you will be given a number of options to customize it to your liking, and I'm pretty sure there are both SI and non-SI versions.

All the extra enemies could indeed cause some FPS loss in melees with mobs, but the quantity of enemies can be adjusted and if it turns out you don't like the mod or are unable to use it uninstalling it is fairly easy.

  10. I use Mart's Monster Mod and Francesco's Leveled Creatures. With these you can take a party of companions with you and have enough enemies to keep everyone busy without setting the damage ratio any higher than the default.

Sorry I'm not including any links; the files are too large for Nexus so I generally had to Google to find them.

  11. I think it's extremely amusing that when someone like this realizes either that they've made a mistake or more likely simply sees that their attack has failed miserably, then suddenly they're like:

"OMG! Quick! Delete all my boasting off twitter! Maybe nobody will notice and the ones that did will forget all about it..."

  12. I also had wondered why the site was down earlier. Glad to hear it's being dealt with. It takes admirable integrity to not yield to terrorists.

TBH I didn't even know anything about DDoS attacks until I read this here and then Googled the term.
