  1. Morrowind was the first "open-ended" game I ever played and it made me fall in love with these things. Even though I have Oblivion and Fallout 3 now, I still ALWAYS make sure Morrowind is installed on every PC I own!
  2. Beautiful works, both of you. Glad to see you all still contributing to the thread even though it's creator *ahem* is apparently too busy to do the same. I just lack inspiration these days, I guess.

Why not? It's the garden within the garden, the place where our works of art, fantastic or otherwise, perfessional or meager, can be shared with the family that brings each piece alive. And your no exception, you certainly contribute to the community as a whole more than anyone here. Like Fiffo reminds me, take your time.

Thanks for the compliment and vote of confidence. I actually had a rather epic work I was penning, but I lost it all in my locker when I lost my job. I guess RL events have discouraged me a bit. Plus I've been distracted by projects for non-Bethesda games like classic Doom, so I don't visit the forums here as often as I once did. But I'll get back into it...

  3.

IT IS WITH A SAD HEART AND A GIDDY KIDNEY THAT I ANNOUNCE THE ENDING OF THE COSMIC OPERA. IT HAS BECOME TOO COMPLICATED. I WISH TO FOCUS ON THE TWO NEW STORIES PLUS BOB AND BAB AND OTHER WORKS. ONE DAY I WILL DO COSMIC OPERA FROM SCRATCH BUT PUT INTO PRACTISE THE LESSONS THAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM DOING THE FIRST ONE.

It's okay. Quality is almost always better than quantity IMHO.

  4. Thank you greatly, Herculine and Fifoo! I would love to use your names for character in my fanfic that you create so far as I can fit them into my story.

I would love to see a character named Herculine in one one of your stories and am honored that you've considered it!

  5. BUMP!

I HAVE A BIG APOLOGY TO MAKE. I BEGAN TO EDIT THE STORY FROM THE START AND THINGS GOT A LITTLE OUT OF HAND.

BAD NEWS: THE STORY IS BIGGER.

GOOD NEWS: THE STORY IS HOPEFULLY CLEARER AND FOCUSES MORE ON A FEW CENTRAL CHARACTERS.

PLEASE HAVE PATIENCE. I HOPE TO HAVE A BETTER STORY READY TO READ SOON.

TRUTH IS I HAD TO EDIT BECAUSE I WAS HAVING TROUBLE ENDING THE STORY PROPERLY.

It's okay. Art takes time. We are patient.http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/Dark/thumbsup.gif

  6. Thank you, Herculine. I am in the process of trying out your Oblivion mods but I have been having troubles with the game and I made a mistake so I now have to put the game back on. I will send you feedback on your Oblivion mods. When do you want me to test your Doom levels?

Well, thank you for volunteering, but for now all you can do is check out my Doom blog to follow my current progress. (The link is in my sig.) I'm about 90% finished with a map I'm going to be satisfied enough with to release to the public. When it's completed you'll be one of the first to know!

  7. Wonderful poem.

I'm a good writer, but not with poetry. Let me see if I can do it.

    Life...

Life is a drug to the mind

Our purpose to live is ours to find.

Together in truth we shall overcome

Hand in hand what have we become?

We see through our eyes a world of hate

We battle for freedom to determine our fate.

We live like kings yet like the poor

We destroy our futures, to have no more.

But in the battle to find eternal bliss

We fight the endless wars our people we shall miss.

But in the end, to struggle to survive

We enjoy life, together we thrive.

An epic told with just twelve lines. Excellent poem!

  8. Wow. One of the reasons I haven't left you many comments lately is simply because you write so many different stories I can hardly keep track of them all. But rest assured, I still think they're all great and I'm impressed. I'm still a fan, even if I'm just lurking in the shadows. Great stuff!
  9. Here's a little poem of my own making, unfortunately, the rhymes do not work in translating from French into English, so I did not touch anything to keep the spirit of the poem. The French version is included in the spoiler. Enjoy reading.

    Why...

Why to run in all directions...

I see people fighting against the wind,

All this to gain even more money.

They have forgotten what it means to live,

Blinded by so many ambitions and envy.

Poet, tell them what you think about...

Why do they always seek to destroy...

Forgetting all what the sages had in memory

And those beautiful things of man and history.

They reject everything that gave them the childhood,

Caring little about the extent of their spending.

Builder, tell them about how to build...

Why can not they grasp the meaning...

They want the answers without asking any question

Whether they are wrong or if they are right.

I see them getting lost in all these corridors

Who leads them to places so illusory.

Wise man, tell them what you think about...

    Fifoo - "Why" 06/28/10.

    Pourquoi...

    Fifoo - "Pourquoi" 28/06/10.

That's beautiful. And all poetry does not need to rhyme you know. It's still just as poetic. The meaning is still just as emotionally evocative. Thank you for sharing this in the garden!
