You should consider Artorp's Zooming Scoped Weapon, Sprint Mod, RH_Ironsights, etc. MMM also makes it much more fun overall, with new creatures like the Matriarch or Gargantuan. Just do a search on the Nexus for them.

If you want her to have the Project Beauty version of her face, you do need to use GECK, as Dracomies is possessive of his creations and won't allow others to use them as a resource... Aside from that; Enclave Commander is not a companion mod. It's a spawn-mindless-expendable-npc mod. The individual soldiers have no personality and you feel no attachment to them. Brisa and Amy seem interesting, yes, but they also seem as if they have too much content. To the point that they are unwieldy. I don't want to have to organise all that crap, frankly. I would prefer a simple, no frills, characterful companion without too much extraneous gimmicks trying to attract my attention.... which is why I recommend Sydney Follower. You meet her during a quest, she already existed in the game, so she's fully voiced, her companion status is merely an expansion of what was already there, her character is expressed through situational dialogue where she will talk to you and express opinions on certain locations/quests that you happen to be doing (Big Town and Andale in particular), she will also make periodic comments about the current location when you talk to her. She doesn't have hotkeys, she doesn't have trade menus. What she does have is a once-per-day repair facility and the ability to cook you a meal. You can send her to study at the Citadel for 2 weeks to get her energy weapons skill up. You can give her skillbooks. And that's about it. Less is more.

You should consider killing 3 Dog. I always end up doing it. He's too annoying for words...

It's good that you've decided to sort this quest out in your own way. Fallout 3 morality so rarely gives the options I'd like to follow as well....

Set GNR as your active quest and follow the map marker. It'll lead you straight to your destination. If you look at your world map you'll see waypoints as well. If you want to do the Family Quest, find the dead guys body, enter console, click on the body and type resurrect. He'll be resurrected.

Giant red exclamation mark symbols appear when the game can't find a mesh in the right directory. It's either missing or wrongly placed.

You mentioned expanding the background on the Giddyup Buttercups on the space ship. I'd love it if you could stick in a line implying that the huge horde of them in that big room is some sort of Alien invasion force.... that their appearance is meant to lull the humans, and as soon as they get close... dotdotdot. They just have to be death machines. :biggrin: With regard to having followers who repair/heal, the Sydney mod allows her to repair the currently equipped weapon in exchange for 1 piece of Scrap Metal, with a cool-down so it's only once per day. You could look at the script for that and copy it.

Even so, the Reflex Configuration thingy in my apparel section which lets you turn overdrive/thermoptics on/off is still present. What's more, the visual components of the upgrades are still appearing on my character even though the armour is not even in my inventory. When I select it to see WTF is going on, I get the above message. Has anybody at all got any clue what's going on and how to fix it? :confused:

Sydney Follower is the best companion. You will need to know your way around GECK in order to get her looking good, however.

Yes, there was, and I downloaded it a few months ago and used it. You assigned a weapon to a hotkey and whenever that hotkey was pressed, you made an attack with that weapon. Deathclaw Gauntlet for me. It seems to have disappeared.

Aside from that, what is ironic about the tenpenny quest is that the ghouls, who resent the "bigotry" of the humans end up slaughtering them. It is interesting in that it suggests that one should not automatically assume that the party calling itself the victim is the one you should be siding with....

I was in the Franklin Metro Utility at a low level, looking to get the Burnmaster a little more easily... well, I get right up to it, not having encountered any Reavers and quite pleased with myself. What do you know but there was one guarding the weapon, hiding behind one of those makeshift barricades. If I hadn't had a dart gun I would've died for sure. It was hell wearing him down as it was.

I believe any companion is auto-fired after you get captured in Vault 87. Try in Underworld and outside 101.

Once outside Vault 106 and the second time outside the Deathclaw Sanctuary. Both times I needed Dogmeat to find it for me, the way it landed. The first time Id given up and came back ages later and still managed to find it, so it doesn't disappear if you miss it the first time.

You should try the Windows Live Disabler. Then, press the Start button on your desktop, click run and type "cmd". In the window that appears type "dla disable d:". Hit enter. Close the window. Both of these seem unrelated but when I was reinstalling the game last week it only worked after this was done.

If you have a red exclamation mark showing it means the mesh is missing. My advice is go into GECK and figure out which file the hairstyle points to and see if that file is missing or misplaced. Or redownload.
