  1. There's another in SRB. The only way to pick it up is to have X6 as a companion and order him to grab it. No one else can pick it up or use it.
  2. No Companion Junk Comments, linked in my signature. That's one of the things I added in the current version as it was requested and annoyed me as well :)
  3. Never had McCready as a companion. Never kept Cait for longer than 5 minutes. Never maxed all companions affinities. Never wiped all Far Harbor factions. Never used a sledgehammer or a power fist (I miss NV's ballistic fist, that was cooler). Never claimed as many settlements for NW that's needed to get whatever the perk is. I get bored after 3 settlements. Never wore a dress as a male character. Never ran around naked as any character. Never used any of the manufacturing things in Contraptions. I collect everything anyway, no need to make stuff.
  4. In game, open console, click on child and input: addkeyword workshopallowcommand I'm not sure if it sticks or if you need to redo it when you reload the save. I haven't played in a while so don't remember.
  5. So, if you put the bag on the ground and activate it it works but not if you just activate by hotkey? I have the mod as well, and looked at it earlier in FO4Edit and there's a lot of scripts. Maybe there's a different command to use, I'll have a look anyway. See if I can find another way. I've all sorts of stuff hotkeyed in my file, globals, game settings and the usual add items, which all work to my amazement, lol. Edit: I think it's out of my knowledge. Tried a few things ingame and the bag ID keeps changing when I load the game so whatever I put into the ini file comes up unknown. Looking at the details in xEdit and most everything is done with scripts. I tried a few things that I thought might be it but no. Maybe someone more knowledgeable would know which ID to use or if it's even doable at all. A simple container works, something that's already in the world, but a placeable container I'm not so sure. Sorry that I couldn't help :(
  6. If you have the ID of it, and have a spare hotkey slot in the ini file (I never figured how to assign them ingame so manually add them to the file), it's just Item#.activate player My example above, just substitute 06044995 for the ID of the duffle bag and that's the command to open the container.
  7. Not sure. I use the Hotkeys mod and in its ini file assign the Overboss Trunk a hotkey then use that as remote storage. I've also got a locker in Vault 111 set persistant to use as storage as well. Going off the commands in the ini file I guess you could try ContainerID.activate player. Example for the Overboss trunk 06044995.activate player. I haven't tried it so don't know if it works. I find it easier to use Hotkeys.
  8. Yes they are. Many are originally posted in the Fallout or mod author forums then get moved here.
  9. My Fallon's Department Store is always worse than that. I fixed it once but can't remember how. Mine's due to a mod but I'm not seeing any issues in FO4Edit otherwise I'd make a patch. I'd only go in that location for a magazine that I don't need so I just avoid the place.
  10. I use BS Defence. Prior to that there was nothing worse than doing those memories and having a settlement back in the Commonwealth under attack. Like, sure I'll just drop everything so I can go back and watch my fortified settlement kill a couple of raiders in 2 seconds. Not likely. Even when I didn't know of the mod I'd still not drop everything for a settlement attack. I have better things to do and would check up on them later, if I was over that way.
  11. Looks Menu Customization Compendium has all those skin colors. I don't know if there was ever standalone mods for them. That's the only one I know as I use it.
  12. I find it's just easier, and quicker, to kill them instead of joining them. Only 2 characters joined them and that's enough for me :)
  13. I've got his outfit on a mannequin with some patrolman sunglasses and a cowboy hat. Looks alright. My characters have never worn it, but Piper has. It's no different than wearing Maxson's battlecoat. My characters have never worn that, either, though. Companions have. I suppose it is all a little weird, then, seeing as I'm happy to make others wear them, just not me :)
  14. I don't know about your first question, but the bat file you'd only need to execute the once as those will stick. I've a bat file for my traders, too :)
  15. I've got him at the moment and he's rather dull. Combat is fine but story and personality not so much. Plus what sort of raider hates chems? But, these days I don't change my character's style to avoid upsetting followers. If they don't like it they know where the nearest settlement is :) Edit: Forgot to add my preferred companion, the better one IMO, is Danse. A gatling laser with a decent legendary effect (eg. wounding, explosive) and I don't need to do anything. Story is alright, probably one of the best scenes in the game, IMO. Each companion has their good and bad things I don't think there's one that is just all round awesome. I don't use modded ones, still looking for a male companion that's as well done as the female ones. Until then, or I make my own, I'll either use an automatron (no personality or opinions) or the one from the faction I sided with :)
  16. I had that issue with my previous character. Mine started back at the police station, I couldn't climb into the vertibird. I put it down to not getting the 2 radiant quests from Haylen and Rhys before going to Fort Hagen and triggering the Prydwen arrival. I consoled myself onto the deck of the Prydwen, seeing as I couldn't get there by vertibird from the police station. I noticed that the 'airport vertbird' was missing. Meanwhile, MQ completed, dozens of hours into the game and the vertibird is still missing. I've since moved onto a new character who did the sequence properly, and it's all as it should be. Sounds to me like by dropping everything to defend a settlement things have messed up a bit. Although, did you skip anything earlier, as I did? Some quests you have to do in a certain order or later on weird stuff happens, made worse by consoling your way through issues (I did that) :)
  17. A kudos to the OP  Ever since the latest update I've been keeping Steam in offline mode, so I can stay with the previous game version. It was all good until 15 minutes ago, lol, when I forgot to disconnect from the internet (via wifi) before launching Steam, as was my usual thing to do before booting up. The game hasn't been trying to update, I'd previously set scheduled updates - through Steam settings - to only update games between 4 and 6am, when I'm never online, lol. Unfortunately due to my forgetfulness Fallout 4 now sits at "update required." I can't stay in Steam Offline mode forever, there are other games I want to buy and/or update. I remembered this thread with the instructions so am glad I found it again
  18. I'm a serial F5er, lol. Though I do hard save as well, just not as much. But since Oblivion and some things I read back then I've always turned off autosaves.
  19. Oh, my bad. MB not GB. Oops. I'd have ditched any of those increased spawn mods long ago if they made the saves *that* big.
  20. My highest level character is level 82 and the saves are around 50GB. But, I run both War of the Commonwealth and Endless Warfare and the former does increase save size, maybe EW does as well, I've not had that by itself. My quicksaves are even higher but I regularly clear them out.
  21. I was thinking how handy a whistle would be for the dog just last night. I'll check that out, thanks for the suggestion :)
  22. I stick with mostly the same mods for all my saves. Without looking at my load order some of mine are - Companion Status, Holotime, Sim Settlements, Salvage Beacons, various companion cosmetic mods, More Smarter Companions, LooksMenu, UFO4P, Neutral Vertibirds (but I've edited it to my liking), Imperial BOS, Vogue ENB, my own mods, Vivid Fallout AIO, Grasslands. There's oodles more, if I keep going I'll end up with my entire load order, which is about 150 including espless mods :)
  23. I tried him once, but he hated everything I did (joined a faction and RP'd it) and the usual do-gooder likes and dislikes so I sent him back to his cabin. These days I don't even bother letting him be a guide. I just leave him in the tavern.
  24. Google brought me here again. That blue LOD texture issue I've been battling for a while now, since patch 1.3. Even though I have a much better card than before (an 8GB card at that) it's still there and it's beyond irritating.I've always followed the instructions on the ENBoost page but will try what you suggested - only putting in my vram and not physical as well. At this stage I'll try anything to get rid of that stupid blue. Edit: Didn't work for me. I've tried it all, now, except for switching to team green but even then there's no guarantees it'll be gone as I've read of some Nvidia users with the problem, too.
  25. Same. Well, I don't have an SSD or a data cap, though. This all came out while I was sleeping, lol, so I had advanced warning and just disconnect my internet from my PC, start Steam in offline mode then re-connect the 'net.Once everything is sorted out I'll update. I was doing an achievement run but I have another character I can use instead. Or I can just play Oldrim until things settle down :)
