In response to post #11887160.

After a lot of tinkering (I am not a modder but this is not a complaint just info) I think I have seen something I don't understand. I found a hotfix for the CTD issue with the Breezehome so now I can see what is happening next. Apparently when you deleted a mod in the past NMM would reinstall the old files from somewhere (I'm only guessing as this is the only thing that would explain what is happening) but it no longer reinstalls anything. I had the basement single cell mod installed in the Breezehome long ago but now when I uninstall any mod with NMM I get the prior mod files for that basement, even when I have only just purchased the Breezehome. I have Hearthfire now but I didn't have it until recently.
I hope this helps find and repair issues with NMM because I really think this is better than sliced bread (one of the best mod programs ever).

In response to post #11887160. #11973800 is also a reply to the same post.

I think the problem you're having may be caused by the mod, not by NMM. I tried a mod recently called "Breezeholm Basement" which added a 1-cell room accessible by a trapdoor inside Breezeholm, & that room was filled with tons of bookshelves (among other things). After I installed it I went into the game & tried it out, but it kept giving me CTD. Mainly when I'd try to enter or exit a cell (not just in Breezeholm, but other places too), it would CTD. I tried some troubleshooting to see if there was another mod causing it, but couldn't find any, & I couldn't get it to work right, so I uninstalled the mod.
Was that the mod you were using? If so, then it seems to be a very buggy mod, regardless of NMM version.

I use NMM(Ver.0.47.3) with Security Soft ( Trend Micro: Virus Buster Cloud ver.7).

Since I used NMM (ver.0.47.3) with VBC I bought recently , CTD happened frequently .

I tried excluding this NMM exe file or NMM folder from Real Time Scan in setting, but this way was no effect.

But when I disable VBC's Real Time Scan, NMM works very fine.

If you use it with VBC, I suggest you to disable it temporarily

While disabling VBC, you shoud use other anti virus soft(example: Windows Deffender, etc) temporarily.

But it won't be foundamental solution...

My native language is not Engllish, sorry for that.

I wish you the best.

As of 0.47.3 I've determined I'm getting significant lag and eventual freezes from calling the mod side info panel for each mod in the list. I disabled it and it hasn't given me any trouble yet. I was in the middle of troubleshooting an issue with Skyrim's intro and getting very irritated that it was taking forever to disable my mods. If this is all it is, it's not a big problem but other people could be having it too.

The auto update feature

The auto update feature is in relation to NMM updates, not file updates. It will check the site every X number of days for a new version and inform you if there's a new version to download.

There's no automated mod version check any more. It was deliberately removed, as per the news post explaining why at the time, to reduce load on our servers. You'll just have to do an extra click from now on!
