*reads post carefully before replaying this time* .. hmm... http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/388498-the-thread-of-computers-aka-will-my-computer-run-skyrim/

meh.. I'm not really worried now that Ive calmed down and put it in perspective .. Th requirments are still much lower than I thought and Ive been preaching to everyone how low they would be  .. this just annoys me that pete would say "ultra" .. when I hear that I think crysis .. and then I think mega graphics card ~_~; .. but like Ive said since forever now .. its going to run about the same as F3 .. maybe a tiny bit more demanding by a pinch. ^_^
-
does for every game Ive ran .. if it says recomended and I have it or better then I'm maxing the game out .. this goes for crysis2,sims3,CivV, so on so on .. Its not an exact science but the rec specs normally mean high settings not mid range settings.
-
He meant 6Gb of free HDD space This^ And Ive been thinking .. I think ultra might be because of the draw distance sliders their games tend to have .. I don't think many people max those out since at a certain point its needless lag.. I hope .. cause the 260 is a beast but not exactly top of the line .. my 550 matches it fairly well .. but what do I need to run this so called "ultra" Skyrim?? Must have! O-O lol
-
why would they release a recomended spec if its not the high specs ... that means their are three specs? .. min, rec, ultra .. they havn't posted ultra and thats what I wanna see .. that the whole point of a spec release. @cal .. says 4gigs.
-
one thing thats still bugging me and no one seems weirded out is what he said after tweeting them .. The Min specs get you playing,. The recommended specs let you play on High, not on Ultra. You'll want beefier rig for that. What in the world does that mean? .. the 260 can't max it out but its the recommended .. and the min means what exactly? .. anything with DX9 .. Ha! .. this is pretty concerning .. I'm starting to think the PC version is badly optimized
-
I'm starting to think pete doesn't know what hes talking about xD lols
-
and confusing ... he tweets "The Min specs get you playing,. The recommended specs let you play on High, not on Ultra. You'll want beefier rig for that." wtf?.. a 260 is the rec but it wont max it out? .. why have a min/rec if the rec doesn't max it out? .. kinda ruins the point .. what will max it out? ~_~;

"The Min specs get you playing,. The recommended specs let you play on High, not on Ultra. You'll want beefier rig for that." Waaait .. the recomended 260gt wont max it out? o_O.. what will??

Min PC specs: Win XP/7/Vista (32 or 64 bit), dual core 2GB, 2GB RAM, DX9c video card w/ 512MB RAM, Internet Access for Steam activation

True.. but I think this guy was pretty big .. Your don't get any comparison in the trailer but judging from how the armor dangles on the bethblog guy and the helmet dwarfs his head .. I would say the only reason the actor looked "lean" .. was due to a lack of contrast.. you just see him standing next to a dragon... I just think its odd how many people on the net have been calling him wimpy looking .. hes huge .. its just an illusion of sorts.

PC gaming myths .. 1. A relatively good PC with specs that are better than a console is an investment that will cost much more than the console itself False .. you own a PC now right? .. how much did you spend? .. and how much for your console? .. add that together .. is it over 700? .. congrats .. you have a decent gaming rig that will shame your friend's console. 4. Some hackers will crack it, but still, some people really want to feel the ultimate "unsealing the best game ever experience". What? 3. First DLC will be available 30 days after Xbox 360 True. 2. It is possible that a PC does not meet the graphic requirements for this game or is under the console standard This is a repeat reason .. Void Pro Xbox Myths.. 1.Plug and play simplicity, easier for casual players to access. True 2.Play the game as it's meant to be played (no mods). Derp? .. 4. Guaranteed to run on a console, you do not need to customize it. Yes.. its easy .. we clearified that 5. The game is developed mainly for Xbox 360, so you know the product is already proven to be good. another derp ... good going 6. A controller, an HDTV and a sofa is more likely going to be a more relaxing experience than a PC chair and a screen that's 10 inches close to your eyes. Can be done with the PC too .. but thats not simple hu? .. your right again .. the 360 is "easy" .. and its really the only good point you make The real reason for the consoles http://t.qkme.me/352xe0.jpg

hu?.. three shirts? .. this is clearly the same armor

to all the people claiming the guy in the trailer was to small... http://a.yfrog.com/img876/9518/v51q.jpg This guy writes for the bethblog I believe .. and I also believe this is the armor that was used in the trailer .. this guy is either very small or the actor in the trailer was bigger than you all gave him credit
-
minutes = seconds .. and this is exactly the same.

I wasn't talking about computer build  Bwahaha xD .. My bad .. I just see those threads a lot.
-
most likely later today .. Pete said the testing would run into today meaning they won't be done right away .. But it sounds like they have the system specs and are simply double checking as much as possible .. I dont know how these things work so I am probably wrong on this but it sounds a little scary to me. *fingers crossed for a well optimized PC port*

When I first heard of TESV back in January I purchased my 550ti. Should be able to handle maxing it out at an acceptable FPS for me (30+)

Thank god todd howard agrees .. When talking about the stories and environment he pretty much said he didn't like anime stories cause the worlds are so disconnected from reality and he wanted a more tolkien style fantasy world. Seems like everyone these days likes the japanese way over the top stuff and I can't stand it .. its not racist .. its cultural preference and there is nothing wrong with that :P

jedimembrain replied to Mitch2129's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
"Testing for PC specs is going to run into tomorrow. Sorry, I tried. Shouldn't have given a timeframe without being sure. Apologies." I like how he doesn't say he will release them tomorrow .. only that the testing will go into tomorrow lols. -
its three days guys .. relax lols .. when friday hits and hes out of a job for swiping it I;m sure it wouldn't be worth it.

Hair in Skyrim static or natural?
jedimembrain replied to ancalimonungol's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Your asking for more than you think you are .. Thats a real FPS eater .. And what 90s games are you talking about? .. You should know that 90s games were 50% pre rendered. -
Hair in Skyrim static or natural?
jedimembrain replied to ancalimonungol's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
in a game full of NPCs this is a major lag prostitute .. I would rather they spend the cpu/gpu on something like lighting and shadowing than hair .. you have to keep in mind just how many NPCs there are .. the only game Ive seen to do hair physics in a world full of NPCs is fable2/3 .. but guess what? .. they dissabled it on NPCs so it only showed on the player character .. since skyrim is a first person game that would be pointless .. the thing is .. they just cant do it -
An Idea jumped in my head about the Live Action Trailer
jedimembrain replied to daventry's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
cause a lot of games use live action trailers these days .. they don't use them in game though... that was a 90s thing.
