  1. There are yet no real tools for modding CP. What you find on nexus is atm mostly presets and simple changes of settings. Give it a few months and it might be some tools out there. :)
  2. Those are not mods actually. There are yet no mods for CP2077. So far here on Nexus you basically find files that change ingame settings.
  3. Did you on the dashboard in Vortex make SKSE "primary" before trying to start SKSE trough Vortex? I use the Vorrtex guide to set up SKSE with Vortex and it works perfect. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Tool_Setup:_Script_Extenders Okay, well before I did have it set to primary. But I've decided to switch to Mod Organizer 2. NMM and Vortex didn't want to work SKSE for me. I tested MO2 and found that it actually works. I still have my doubts, possibly that it won't work for much longer. Might just be my head being messed up from trying so hard to get SKSE to work. Thanks for the feedback though! What mod manager you use should have nothing to do with SKSE function. SKSE is just three files into Skyrim game folder and an archive into the data folder. You can just install it manually as many still do. A mod manager is just a manager that adds or removes files.

  5. What do you mean by "start up SKSE through steam"? Steam should be running first, then run the skse executable from Vortex dashboard or from your desk if you have made an skse.exe shortcut there (so you dont have to start up Vortex to play).
  6. This is a good start for modding Skyrim SE.... https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:0.1.0b
  7. Not true. Vortex has too many errors, too many useful features that are there but hidden and adds conflicts by forcing you to choose which mod to load first which cannot resolve anything when you use more than two mods that change the same items and you want to use files from all three mods. NMM has its faults, but it's the simplicity that makes it an outstanding mod manager. Using Vortex for a long time now with a rather large mod and plugin list. NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER. Stop spreading lies about Vortex having a lot of bugs.
  8. Do not update. And use Auto-Backup fpor extrra safety. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12480
  9. i use Tempered Skin Fo Females (and the male to) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8505 It is the choise in the STEP Guide to so it is very vanilla friendly.
  10. List like that will never be finished. Changes and updates all the time. Use these lists as a base (i use the STEP 3.0 SE guide as my base atm). I keep a profile with my "core" list and then orther profiles for actuall playing with even more mods added. I think you need a base setup of your liking and then work with profiles in whatever mod organizer you are using. That way you can play on the current "mod list" while still adding and experimenting.
  11. No problem for me with Windows Defender (never had any problems off any sort installing or updating Vortex for the past year). I am on Windows 10, 64.bit and only uses Windows Defender (no need to run anything else).
  12. The Unofficial SSEP.esp has a warming message that says "This plugin has the file extension .esp, but its file header marks it as an esm!" So what I did before was make a copy of the .esp file and then changed that copy to .esm, put that in the Data folder and the warning message went away. I guess I should not have done that. Why?
  13. There are different SKSE for LE and SE. You need SKSE64 for Skyrim SE. Current SE version is 2.0.16 http://skse.silverlock.org/ Also dont install mods for LE (oldrim) to SE. Othervise you should just be able to easy download SE mods automatic with Vortex, install and activate them and then let the built in Loot sort them. Use the "Knowlege Base" in Vortex! There you have all information you need. Always read the description of the mod you are about to download... all of the description... always! So you really understand what the mod will do to your game.
  14. In latest version 1.19.0 (on GitHub) there is this new column that i already LOVE! Thank you Tannin! Atm there are 13 "contents". Is there something we miss? Or are theseall we need.
  15. Here is the lates NMM if you prefer that. Personaly i think Vortex is superior. https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases
  16. Dont use Loot with Vortex... it is built in. Loot standalone and Loot in Vortex uses the same masterlist. Running "vanilla start" in Alternate Start is known to have issues with Helgen reborn. If you want to use "vanilla start" in Alternate Start dont activate Helgen Reborn esp before leaving the cave in Helgen. If you dont have "autosort" enabled in Vortex you have tp press "Sort". Look at top left at settings row at plugin tab.
  17. In my opinion Vortex is perfect for managing large mod lists. I manage over 300 mods for Skyrim SE with no issues what so ever. The ability to flag plugins as .esl is great just like the integrated Loot. The support for Fnis works great. Just like deploying other tools. Works great managing Lod's, ENB and SKSE. It is very easy to manage load order with Vortex (anyone saying managing plugin load order is not possible with Vortex is simply wrong).
  18. Hi. Dont know what game you are modding but with for example Skyrim SE it is very easy to manage load order to my personal taste in Vortex. The "browsing" feature you suggest is interesting but keep in mind not all mods are from Nexus... so for me it is not something i think the devs should spend to much time developing.
  19. im not launching it through vortex. im closing down vortex and loading it from the shortcut. and i never had any mods for le installed only se. it gets to the first loading screen then a loading wheel appears in the bottom and it does nothing after that. even when i close it with task manager steam tells me the game is still open so i have to restart my computer and i can't keep using nmm because it won't let me download the mods through nmm anymore So it is not an Vortex problem. It is a mod problem. You have to find out what mod is causing the problems. No matter if you use Vortex, NMM or MO2... they are just mod managers and nothing more. NMM works perfectly with Nexus if you set up the rules right. Problem is you can as far as i know only have one manager setup for automatic download on Nexus, not both Vortex and NMM.
  20. If the mod is installed correct CK will find it in "Data" folder as i wrote above. Check so the mod is installed.
  21. You can't make them show up in the in game mod list. The mod list in game and the plugin tab on Vortex both take information from the plugin.txt file that FO4 uses to read in plugins (and only plugins). The mods that don't have a plugin are texture, sound, mesh, and other files. On the mod's description page, the author will tell you if you need to add anything to a ini file (which is located in your Documents folder), to force FO4 into reading the file (note that this is only for BSA's). The game will automatically pick up all other files. The only way to actually verify that they are in game, is by actually playing the game and seeing if the changes are there. Great thanks for your help. I will give it a look. You are correct, all of the missing plugins are textures and sounds. Then there probably are no missing plugins at all since most texture and sound mods dont have one. :)
  22. Tho change form-id: 1. Start the CK 2. Press "File" then "Data" 3. In the popup window select the plugin with the wrong form you want to change (Only one plugin!) 4. press "Set as Active File" (you do not have to set masters, the CK will do it for you) 5. press "OK" 6. wait to finish load... now you see in upper left corner the name of the plugin loaded... 7. Press "Save" 8. Exit the CK - The CK will on save automatic change to the right form. - Repeat for each plugin with the wrong form
