  1. Making rules for 8 mods takes tops 8 minutes. Just put it in a proper Mod Group... if that is noth enough make a rule between mods in the group. A bit more advanced and normally not needed... make your own Mod Group and wher to put it. In most cases you only need rule between two mods... than just drag between Dependency icon... takes just a few seconds to do. There are at least five other good mod managers out there to use if not wanting Vortex. Wrye Bash, MO1, MO2, NMM, Skyrim SE Mod Manager. But what do i know having a smooth running game with no ctd and 254 active plugins and only 5 individual rules and 3 Group assigns needed.
  2. Hi. What does Loot say? Any other active mods? Ingame, what is missing from USSEP making you think it is not working (just asking cause i am honestly, just like many others, not shore about all ingame changes it does)
  3. Hi. I use AI Overhaul with RDO togheter and it works. Having RDO loaded before AIO (dont know if that is important) Not sure about AFT cause i use Nethers Follower Framework (NFF) instead. I think NFF have less compability problems than AFT. Loading NFF after both AIO and RDO.
  4. You need to take your Vortex questions to Vortex part off this forum. And there you have to give more information about your problems so people can try to help you. In Vortex there are a lot of help and explanation to get. If you vave certain mod problems you have to show us your load order at least. Did you read any off that? I have used Vortex for over a year i think with no problems what so ever managing over 300 mods for Skyrim SE.
  5. Yea, who are all these modders that have left? Must say i dont miss that many authors, if any. At least the top 300 or so most essential mods to me are still here to download.
  6. Well, i use a lot of skse-dpendent mods and have never any problems. I just dont let Steam update my game during a playtrough, since i have no interest in the content Bethesda releases at there cash shop. The non existing problem solved.
  7. Nothing. It has no MCM so it will not show up in MCM. It just changes the ingame NPC dialog. So it is probably working as intended. PS. Very few mods have an MCM. I have around 320 mods installed and only 22 with MCM-menue DS.

  9. These are the basic steps: 1. Download the latest version of ENBSeries from http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrimse.html 2. Open the downloaded folder. Kopie only the files d3d11.dll, d3dcompiler_46e.dll, and enblocal.ini into your Skyrim SE root folder/directory. There is an "readme.txt" in the download that you should read! 3. Start the game. Now on the menue in the upper left corner you should se text saying that it is installed and what version. ---------------------------------------- 4. Find a preset you want to try here on Nexus in the Skyrim SE ENB Preset section. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/categories/97/ 5. Follow the description.... (normaly: Copie/extract the files enblocal.ini , enbseries.ini and the folder enbseries into your Skyrim SE root folder/directory) --------------------------------------- 6. In game (game will take a bit longer to load) turn ENB effect on and off with shift+F12, open ENB settings menue with shift+enter
  10. Most lists out there are rather big with many ways to screw things up for anew modder. One thing to be aware of is that all of the most popular guides on Nexus makes the NPCs and Characters look like teenagers from some asian game, and the landscape and buildings looks like they have been trough 200 instagram-filters. Meaning they take away all the roughness of the vanilla game and make it look like it is on botox So i personal try to avoid most of the graphics part of any guide. The "STEP-crew" who made the famous "STEP" for origainal game is at work with a new one for SE that will (we hope) come this year. That will prolly be the best "core setup" to build your personal mod list around. Step: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/13835-step-30-development-progress-january-2019/ Waiting for that i would suggest: The best basic list right now would be Tuco i think and is here on Nexus. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10694 Pros: Very good base, lot of popular mods in it Cons: Uses MO2 for management and i prefer Vortex for management. The best guide to really overhaul and improve i think is Lexys LOTD: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/User:Darkladylexy/Lexys_LOTD_SE This is rather advanced but will give you so much content and a whole new Skyrim. Installing it takes a lot of time, but you will learn very much about modding. Easy to get help on Discord to.
  11. First i hope you actually did let the inbuilt Loot order the plugins? In Vortex you can change what group the plugin should be in. Duoble click on plugin and i right pane just change the group. Or you can press "Manage Rules" and set a rule for the plugin.... Or drag from dependencies icon on the plugin you want to make rule for to the dependencies icon of the mod you want it to load after. If you use the "Change Group" solution and the plugins you want custom rules for still loads wrong you vcan just make a rule according to above solutions. You can ofc even make your own groups and descide in what order to load. "Manage Group"- function (If you are using a savegame made during the use of another mod manager i belive it is best to start from scrach)
  12. Mods dependent of SKSE are two sorts as i understand. The ones that you find in the SKSE plugin folder that need update with every new SKSE. And others that are dependent of SKSE but just any version, not neccesary the latest. So i just keep notes of the ones with .dll files in the SKSE Plugin folder.
  13. Hi Tannin (i love Vortex) and i did try the "Full" directly after the Optimized. So there have to be a time between running them? Strange is i did a lot of detected updates with Vortex 0.18.6 just a week ago or so. This morning when Nethers Follower Frame Work, moreHUD and some others had updated i press update search and it did not detect updates. Tried to send bug report and ofc was urged to update to Vortex 0.18.9. Did so, but still no mod updates detected. Wierd is also it found update for Nethers Follower Framework after i change version bc the installed was with an b at the end (of some reason the author had an b at the and in last version). But this is not the case with for example moreHUD, Engine Fixes and many others. (i am in no hurry though since i wont update to new SKSE for a while, i am in the middle section of install my new mod list) Keep up the good work! EDIT: SOLVED. Waited an hour and did a new Full update scan. Worked like a charm! Maby put it in knowlege base somewhere?
  14. Same issue for me. I have send a bug report trough Vortex. Hope we can get it fixed. A lot off mods will get updates the comming days bco new SKSE and i dont want to have to go through 300 mod pages at Nexus. :)
  15. Used both MO and NMM in the past... but Vortex is much better and the other two takes no longer up any space on my hd. Only modding Skyrim SE atm. Vortex works great with over 300 mods installed. Great work Vortex-team!
  16. Vortex is good. Easy to use. Easy to understand. Good documentation. Perfect for +400 mods in Skyrim SE. Perfect for managing load order. Learn how to use it before complaining.
  17. Hi. For someone new to modding i would suggest using Vortex (very easy to use) and try a few off the top mods. If using only mods changing different aspects compability is not that big issue if you let Vortex sort out the load order. Start with some basics to improve the vanilla game like USSEP, SMIM, SkyUI. Try Alternate Start so you dont have to play the Helgen part once more. Think off what you want to improve? Maby try a combat mod to make it more challenging. A few armor and weapons mods so loot becommes more fun. Try not to install to many mods off same sort in the beginning, like 50 armor mods or 5 combat mods. They will prolly have conflicts in some way. After getting a basic understanding off different types off mods like textures, quests, combat, environmental, UI/HUD, and so on try some known Mod guide/list here on Nexus. If u at that point have a basic understanding you can follow a guide and choise your favorite mods along. A misstake i see often is people dont read so they understand what the mod does. A weapons mod can for example be just a restexture off a vanilla weapon or a brand new weapon. Some weapon mods only alters looks and some alters stats and values. Read everyting on the mod page before installing and also the last comments on each mod to be sure how it works. Good luck!
  18. Those two where the ones in your load order that looked weird to me (i dont use Creation Club). Think they have to be loaded after the Unofficial Patch. What did Vortex say about them? Did Vortex (LOOT) put them there?
  19. Latest Pre-release version of Vortex has that feature. :) Just download and install at GitHub https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/releases
