  1. I am really impressed by how easy it was to get used off Vortex when i started using it few months ago. Used MO for Skyrim and NMM for FO4 and SSE before. There are still some lack off documentation as stated above, i agree. But generally Vortex works very well . As they stated that if you have a stable and well running game.... dont switch tool/organizer! I think there is to many people switching mid game... for no reason. Just like som people updates working mods mid game just because there is an update. Some of the best things with Vortex in my opinion is the built in loot, the rule setting and the FNIS-integration. The one major problem is users not reading in on the program before installing it.
  2. In response to post #64250616. #64250721, #64251976, #64253981, #64254386, #64259296 are all replies on the same post. Vortex is great and works much better than NMM in my opinion. Have used it for some time now for both Skyrim SE and FO4 and it is great.
  3. "Best" is ofc an opinion... so there can not be a best ENB. But my experience after trying a lot of them out is... - Most ENBs tend to go for a more Fantasy like Skyrim or a more Photorealistic. So if u like me like the art style of Skyrim... dont use ENB. - Most of them is (in my opinion) best for making nice pictures and not for a playtrough (even though i have a high end rig with 1080Ti). - You really have to try many of them to find your own favorite (playing along fine in lets say northern snowy Skyrim... everyting looks great, just to find out you can not stand the looks of it when you come to lets say Riften). - ENB can in many cases do more for the look than any texture mod. This is very good since it is so easy to change ENB whitin minutes while messing around with mods in the midle of a play is never advisable. - One problem is that one ENB that looks good outdoors might look bad indoors. One that makes sunny weather great might look like s*** in storm and rain. - Your monitor is very important. And how it is setup. - Many modern gaming monitors have presets that works almost like some sort of "ENB light". I have different presets on my that gives very different look to games. - Dont forget to check ReShades out. They are often just as good as ENB and in my opinion often more suitable for actuall gameplay. - Dont just try the weather specific ENBs. A version for a specific weather mod is just the authors opinion what settings looks best with that weather mod. Try a lot of versions! - Pictures and videos in ENB descriptions dont show what it will look like in your game. Only what it looks like on the authors with his /hers configuration of mods. - Right now i dont use any ENB or ReShade since i found "Rustic Weather And Lightning" with its extra preset file that lets me change ingame. Check it out.
  4. Vortex is by far the best mod manager i have used. Cudos to the devs!
  5. Are you sure it has to do with Vortex? Remodded both Skyrim SE and FO4 with many many texture mods in my list.... not a single problem so far. Vortex is already superior to NMM in my opinion. Atm i have a perfect functioning Sklyrim with 198 activ plugins and aroud 250 mods installed.
  6. Weird. Just got 12 MB when downloading another. I will write to my ISP. Never had any issues before... so i hope it is just today. Thank you for responding. You Admins here att Nexus are the best.
  7. I have 100/100 with fiber. Provider is Bahnhof. Normaly it is so fast i dont even think about it.
  8. Manually goes at 1 600 - 1 800 kB/s for this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/992?tab=files
  9. EU1... Going to try EU2 and see what happens. I live in Sweden. I am in a middle of an 1,2 GB download so it will take some time before i can restart browser and mod manager.
  10. Slow downloads from today of some reason for me to. Never been this slow since i started using Nexus.
  11. Of some reason i download at about 200-500 KB/s today :( Nexus has never been this slow for me before.
  12. Thanks for the reply. I tried reverting to the version I was playing before I returned to the game and Steam did the update. I reinstalled the older version of SKSE and disabled any mods that I had updated. Still have the same problem. I had previously even disabled all my mods and tried starting a new game in Steam using the updated game, no SKSE, and no mods. Still have the same problem. Right now it's looking like my game itself is corrupted and the only recourse is a clean re-install of the game from Steam. I don't want to do that. I spent countless hours getting the game to look and play the way I wanted with over 200 mods all working perfectly with virtually no crashes, lagging or glitches. Not sure I want to go through that again to get back to the same point. Think I'm just going to quit and move on to something else. Have you updated to the latest SKSE 2.0.8 for SSE 1.5.50? Several mods that needed an update for that new SKSE is updated. And most other SKSE dependent mods works fine after updating SKSE. There should be no need to reinstall all your mods. The masters should be fine to clean with SSEdit if needed.
  13. Do you use BethINI to set your ini-files? I always run BethINI after finishing my loadorder instead of letting Nvidia deside all. You can also just try to play around with different Nvidia settings.... it wont ruining anything. Just reset to default if neccessary.
  14. Sometimes entering "Nexus Mods" from the drop down will give you the option to click "GUESS" for the Mod ID, which works. Great tip. missed this function. Works like a charm. Ty. :)
  15. Wrye Bash is essential for a stable modded game. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11289 Or use Mator Smash and just make a smash patch. (but even with bashed or Smashed patch a look in SSEdit is needed)
  16. Just realized Vortex no longer find updates either. Hmm, i really dont understand what is wrong. Even reinstalled it.
  17. 0.16.2 , no error message. nothing just happens. But when installing manually everything ends up in right directories.
  18. Today i did a fresh install of SSE and set everything up by the book. Now of some reason automatic download dont work at all. Manually downloading and drag and drop in Vortex works perfect. In the settings tab for download everything seem to be ok. Suggestions?
  19. Morrow Loot? "Skyrim's Enemies Deleveled Short explanation: many enemies will significantly outlevel you in the beginning, and then underlevel you at the end. Skyrim's enemy scaling is governed by Encounter Zones, which control the minimum and maximum level spawns within. If a dungeon's Encounter Zone has a minimum of 20, and you walk in at 10, it will treat you like you're 20. Skyrim hardly uses this mechanic, but MLU sets new minimums with identical maximums to lock enemy spawns at specific levels. Levels range from 10 to 70... as does the loot."
  20. I dont use cc at all. All i need is here on Nexus.
  21. There are solutions presentet in this forum (and other forums) in svereal threads. Do people never search before asking? You can spend one minute to search or wait until Silverlock updates SKSE64.
  22. Yea, might be cutting room floor. I have no mods that is supposed to alter that village. I dont use that kind of mods much. All settlements are basically vanilla in my loadorder.
  23. Hello. [sOLVED] I have a weird bug at Helarchen Creeks smithy. I dont have any mods installed thet mention any changes to Helarchen creek. Attached my loadorder.txt and plugins.txt Problem: Conflict between Hot Springs of Skyrim and Cutting Soom Floor. Solution: Set load order rule in Vortex that Hot Springs Load before CRF.
