  1. I'm looking for some good sword shooting spell mod. Something that behaves like the Ice Spike spells, shooting the sword out, which then gets stuck in objects and NPCs and stays there for a while. So far what I've found: -Unlimited Blade Works: The Blade Works power is really meh and the Unlimited Blade Works power is just not for ranged characters at all. -Colorful magic: It has three such spells but Throw Knife is just too weak, Avenger's Blade doesn't deal any damage for some reason, and Blade Storm is a Master level spell.(also those damn long cast times on everything is just getting on my nerves) -Oddball Arrow Shoot-A-Sword: pretty fun idea in a good direction but it's just a replacer for the iron arrow instead of a separate item at least. Is there anything else?
  2. It's futile to aim at anything in the Mojave because House's laser defense system makes Vegas and apparently most of the Mojave invincible to nukes. Just like in real life the rocket defense systems became so advanced that it's highly unlikely for any nukes to reach their destinations at all. Except maybe the ones that are aiming at third world locations.
  3. I found some traces on google about the existence of a port, but seems like the mod was removed since then. Anyone happening to have it, or intending to make a mod and uploading some non-Nexus modding site?
  4. In the anime called Overlord there are some cool and helluva OP (in Skyrim standards) spells... Goal of All Life is Death AoE insta-kill that "kills" even the molecules... lol Super Tier Magic: Fallen Down I wonder if theese are possible to make in Skyrim. In the source material they have a weakness OFC which is the long casting time.
  5. Tania the Hermit(that japanese archer-bard-elf) has "Tauriel Daggers".
  6. Is there any mod that puts the +10 Unarmed enchant of the Gloves of the Pugilist on heavy gauntlets and rings? It would be great if we wouldn't need to powergrind enchanting for unarmed combat because it just breaks the game and unarmed is already scaling badly so more levels = less power.
  7. I just started the game, made character, looted Doc Mitchell's house, then headed to the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. machine. Set my stats, them Mitchell goes to the couch and sits down. At that point my FPS fell to an unplayable level. I got out from there but I still have that low FPS. What on Earth? Skyrim just runs fine for me... My video card is "Internal"(I hope it's the right term) on my Intel motherboard. I have a 3ghz dual-core processor and 2 GB RAM. What can I do?
  8. Well... IRL magic is boring and unreliable... No way to tell if it is the real deal or just the imagination of the "mage/witch/random person with ezotheria as religion" since according to the "current state of SCIENCE" the half of the brain that "detects" the supernatural stuff is the imaginary half of the brain and not the objective so it's pretty easy to mix up. Also "IRL magic" is not about throwing fireballs and electrocuting people with "aaaauuuunnnnnlimited paaaaauuuuuaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!".
  9. Well you could use some mod that make the mobs level infinitely and also dump the gear that were made with maxed crafting skills...
  10. Well there are some mods that are trying to make unarmed viable but did anyone tried the obvious and made unarmed count as onehanded damage so forcing entire perk trees into the game would be unnecessary? Unarmed is already benefitting from the dual-wield perks in the onehanded tree anyway.
  11. Which races do you choose in character creation and for what purpose? My first character was a Nord 2h Heavy Warrior. The first male Nord preset looks like Thor... I had no choice... Thor is too cool. (Why no hammers in this game?) I found that Bretons are friggin OP in the long run because of their passive magic resist whyich grant protection against literally all magic spells. Ice Lances, Fireballs, Thunders? They barely tickle... I started to make new chars as Breton but I soon learned that going for the OP race only result in having all chars being from the same race which just make stuff so booooring... So then I made my archers to be Imperials. The class is about avoiding damage anyway and the gold increasing passive is just so cool. My mages are always Breton. The first female preset is just so hawt and looks great as a mage. I also made a vampire assassin Darkelf but.... mind controlling things just became boring after a while and the character sucked in combat overally.(Also Breton 25% magic resist beats into Oblivion that puny 50% fire resist. You don't need to go hungry as a vamp anyway because 1day cooldown abilities are just ridiclously bad.) I had a Bound Sword-Conjurer-Light Warrior Highelf. It is just great running around with it, the Dremoras are cool and being so friggin' tall is just AWESOME!!!(I may have played too much with those tiny Bretons...) Also made a Khajiit brawler... great fun at the beginning but the damage scales ridiclously bad and requires a LOT of grinding to max out ench.
  12. Skyrim Orcs and Warcraft orcs a quite similar...
  13. For headpiece you can use "of ... Destruction", "of ... Magicka" heavy helm and Nahkriin(the dragon priest mask from the main quest). Nahkriin is pretty much the best non-cloth headpiece for destro mage. Also you could consider using light gear with "Vampire armor of ... Destruction" chestpiece as a "light mage". It is the only non-cloth armor that gives 50% magicka regen with the reduce magicka cost bonus.
  14. I think he meant by skipping the main questline to simply have the whole thing completed at start with all the rewards in your inventory like Bloodletter, Nahkriin, Elder Scroll(Dragon), etc.
  15. Where the hell is that guy anyway? I'm just like trying to snipe guard from the shadow for the lols and he somehow "witness murder" while he is nowhere to be seen...
  16. Since Mage Armor needs a kinda high skill level in Alteration and 3 perk points it is indeed a good idea to use armor pieces too for some defense.
  17. In the anime "One Punch Man" that started in this season is a character called Genos who is greatly similar to the fire mage in Skyrim. No plagium in any side I can assure you, just mere coincidence(the guy is a walking flamethrower lol). The thing about him is other than having moves like "flames/firewall", "fireball", "firestorm", he can use his flamethrowers in his hands for great mobility. Some vids to get an idea: https://youtu.be/kVmlyEOW1hs?t=25s https://youtu.be/fBU53Hm5ux0?t=01s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEKOaqF7C4w Although it may be impossible to implement such complex mechanics into Skyrim's combat system... A Genos follower could be great though.
  18. Well.... As a destruction mage theese are essential to survive: -Use a flesh spell for armor. It is a lifesaver. -Make sure to have summoned minion and a follower. -Keep two sets of gear on you. One for combat with fortify destruction and one for buffing with fotify alteration/conjuration/illusion, magicka, and magicka regen. -Get Agent of Mara, the Magic Resist perk and the Lord Stone buff ASAP for magic resistance. As a Breton you'll become magic resist capped by passives alone(BRETON SUPREMACY IS THE ONLY TRUTH!!!!). -Keep the stat-priority: destruction>magicka>magicka regen for combat gear; magicka>alteration+conjuration+illusion>magicka regen for buff gear. -Keep staves on you! They are lifesavers when you are out of magicka. Dragonpriests gladly give away their Staff of Fireball. -Watch out for the target's race!!! Nords has 50% frost resist, Dark Elves has 50% fire resist and Bretons has 25% all resist. Also Vampires has additional 50% frost and -50% fire resist(which means nord vampires are frost capped and darkelves are not weak nor resistant against fire). Also various monsters of Skyrim are resistant to frost. My gear on my latest mage character that was quite succesful during the whole playthrough because I had experience from the other two mages of mine before(note that I detest crafting because it takes away the progression of collecting items by getting OP stuff): combat gear: head: Nahkriin(any headpiece will do if it has destruction in it, if you are going for the Mage Armor perk, then you'll need to use circlets) neck: necklace of ... magicka(Savos Aren's amulet until you find better) Armor: Archmage's robes, then Expert and Master robes as soon as they get available. ring: ring of ... destruction(Ring of Peeless Destruction is the best one and as the name implies it has no pee on it at all) XD glove: Imperial Bracers/Bonemold Gauntlets of Major Destruction(the console says they are in the game... possibly unobtainable tho....); otherwise Cicero's/Jester's/Shrouded gloves as clothing or anything useful. boots: The lightning resist one from the Archmage's Quarters or Cicero's/Jester's/Shrouded shoes if you stick to the Mage Armor perk. If not, anything useful. buff gear: head: Vokun(absolute best and you'll have an extra mage follower in the dungeon which is kinda an overkill for the bossfight) neck: Necromancer's amulet(absolute best) armor: Archmage's Robes(absolute best) ring: ring of ... magicka/fortify magicka regen Some spellcasting tips: Channeled spells like Flames are best to spammed in short lines instead of channelling them constantly. They deal more damage like this and burn less mana. Don't hold charged up spells like firebolt! Shoot them ASAP because as long as you hold a spell your magicka WON'T regenerate. Keep staves like Fireball in case you run out of mana and need spells to cast. You can regenerate your magicka quickly by using Equlibirum and a charged healing spell like Fast Healing. You'll need to put some points on health tho... Followers: Tanks like Lydia will only stand in the way. The preferred follower would be a mage. Marcurio is far the best one in my experience. Those lightning spells ows. For summons I started out with keeping Familiar up until I got apprentice conjuration then used flame atronach pretty much always changing to frost atronach when needed a tank then used only Dremora Lords when I got high enough perks. You can further buff your magic damage: -by "... of Destruction" potions and "... Aversion to Fire/Frost/Lightning/Magic" poisons. -getting Aspect of Terror perk when having 3/3 Augmented Flames -being Necromage Vampire(keep being well fed and the magic resist from passives will cover up the fire-weakness)
  19. They should be... Just write: <help "imperial bracers"> and among the many you should stumble into the ones with the destruction, conjuration, alteration, etc. enchants.
  20. So now theese handpieces can spawn as random loot and vendor items?
  21. For example: Imperial Bracers of Major Destruction There is both light and heavy variant with the same name. Having body armors with fortify "magic skill" enchant is normal. Finding gloves with such enchant is unheard of.... I browsed the internet for so long and all I found was a wiki page stating that it is found in loot but apparently there is no proof at all about anyone finding ANY. I suppose the devs made those items but did not put it into the loot table.
  22. Well I must say I'm not very creative in this... What about putting the major versions of both the bracers and the bonemold gauntlets on the shelves or inside a container in the Archmage's Quarters?
  23. Hmmm... maybe sold by mage vendors like the masters in Winterhold and the court wizards?
  24. There is both light and heavy variants with the same name: Imperial Bracers of <minor to major> <destruction/illusion/conjuration/alteration/restoration> I found it pretty interesting to have such unique handpieces since fortify magic school enchants can't be put into hand items. Also there are Bonemold Gauntlets with the same enchants in the console which was added in Dragonborn so I don't get why didn't they put those into the loot in the end...
