With your analogy Dragon Age 2 should have clearly outsold Dragon Age Origins which we all know wasn't the case. Skyrim is just a better game...period. Oblivion was unplayable without mods. Not surprisingly Skyrim is blowing away Oblivion sales which was a crappy game As far as competing with itself, Skyrim's initial retail sales are up six-fold over Oblivion and will outsell the previous title in just a few weeks.

Yah on my squishy pure mage build I have the dog and Lydia with me at all times. They keep aggro off of me well.

Radiant AI is pretty cool. I just got my first Wowza moment. No spoilers in terms of dungeon name but there is a particular dungeon with rare ores I hit. The ores respawn I believe once every game time month. Anyways having been here several times I pretty much know the layout and the map is full view in terms of passages cause I been here before. My recent trip however, things changed. Bandits took over the Mine. I found a note on the table at the early part of the entrance stating they took control. Upon clearing the mines and taking out the bandits, I ventured to the very end cause some rich ore veins are there. Only this time, I noticed a new mining tunnel opened up. New Bandits who took over made the Miners digg deeper? Who knows but it was pretty cool. This extra tunnel had me going in ever so deeper, probably had another 20 minutes easy of content added into the mines exploring. Was pretty amazed.

I once was being chased by a hard hitting Bandit leader. This guy was taking half my health on one hit, :blink: Only thing I could do was run but he was hot on my tail. In front of me was a strong current River so decided to jump in. The current took me down a few ways and I got embedded on some rocks. Luckily it was out of Line of sight. The bandit leader stood over the rocks shouting where I was. He was patrolling back and forth looking for me. Eventually he gave up and left. :tongue:

Yes did that quest on my Thief, bounty is easily over 10k. I have killed all the guards in this city cause they attacked me. Decided play it out and see what happens......

I never liked the Jack of all trades playstyle one can attain in TES series as I felt it becomes a self suffiicient EZ Mode. Absolutely no challenge to pull with Fireballs, Tank with Plate and finish a mob off with a 2hand sword....but to each their own. Per Skyrim I rotate between a pure mage, pure thief and pure warrior and they stay strict with what perks guild houses they are able to attain to keep the game semi difficult. Mage: No weapons, he runs out of mana means he either is able to run and escape or dies. Enchanting skill, college of magic guild only. Clothe only etc. Thief: Daggers and Archery only. Alchemy only, limited to dark brotherhoold and thieves guild and light armor Warrior: Smith, Imperial Army, stays away from colleges and guilds like Dark brotherhood and Thieves guild that don't suit the character.

My skyrim thief is a female. A class that relies on agility and stealth fits the female sex perfectly as opposed to a muscle bound male :tongue: In addition some games the female models are done better. When I played WOW, Human Males running motion looked like they had a stick up their behind...

So we should dish out extra dollars on extra hardware to make a half assed port better? That's not the solution. A serious PC gamer does not play with a basic 2 button mouse and 5 dollar keyboard. I mean if you gonna spend 200++ bucks on a video card to max the Skyrim graphics out you selling yourself short by going with cheap input devices I am using a Logitech board that cost me 85EUR(prob over 100 dollars) and a ROCCAT KOVA mouse-never let me down on other(more technically achieved) games/interfaces. The interface has all the listed issues, even on top input hardware, because it was designed for use on a gamepad/360/ps3 controller. Gamer reviews and pro critics have commented on the UI for these reasons. It has got some serious problems and it is not a question of a 5 dollar mouse over a Naga you will still see the same problems being reported by the majority of players when it comes to cheap ports. Also if you are a player on PC you just have to flip the box to see no kind of serious rig is needed for this game. LOL

I wish I had the OP's problem. My arrows seem to miss quite frequently on moving targets, even if I try to lead the shot of his expected end locale.

Most of the peeps who hate it are probably using a 2 button standard mouse and basic keyboard. With my N52 TE gamepad I get 10 extra hotkey buttons just for my thumb. UI is great with the proper hardware setup. Only change in the UI that's needed is a buff timer bar to show on the main window, only thing I would change.

I have had one single CTD and I been playing lots since release. Very stable on my end, Love Skyrim.
