  1. -If you give your companions Health potions, they will use them when appropriate. However their AI is not programmed to spam drink potions to full like we do, they just take one swig with a long duration inbetween. Next time in battle watch your companions for that swirly spell effect like we get when we heal or drink health pots. -Your companions will use Torches, if they don't auto torch, put a torch in their inventory and they will use it at night time.
  2. LOL, close to a 100 hours in and just found the First tip on my list today, -If a companion gets in your way and does not move. Hit your SPRINT Key and bump him, he will move away asap -For those curious about the vanilla no personality companions early on like Lydia. You will run into more personable companions later. I now have a Dark Elf mage, Erandur as my companion and he has 100x more personality then all my earlier companions like Lydia and Aela did.
  3. The only part that cracks me up with whiners is they come here making a whine thread "attempting" to change others views on said game. You don't like the game, fine, what's the point of making new thread about it? Skyrim sold 7 million copies in its first week and is impossible to please everyone
  4. Wow that's pretty neat. I am gonna have to try this and see if NPC's fight over my gear as well, haha
  5. No one cares...so go play Morrowind.
  6. Yes definitely invest in a larger case for gaming. Not good in the long run to have so many "Hot" running parts jam packed alongside one another as it will shorten the lifespan. There will be heat buildup when hardware is trying to push resource hungry games like Skyrim.
  7. Only pull your summons when needed. don't need it following you 24/7 in dungeons. Also if about to head into a room and sense an ambush, Conjure a pet inside the room before you step inside.
  8. am glad someone else noticed. I swear since this patch my in game graphics don't look as sharp
  9. This board definitely is better in terms of the trolls and flamers. PC gamers, particularly those interested in mods are far more mature, haha. Official Bethesda boards is just horrible from day one of Skyrim release.
  10. To the Poster above me, playing pure mage? Well they have always been squishy. Take advantage of companions as a few of them have unique skills like picking chests. If 2 legged companions are not your thing, buy a pet aka War Dog. In other words, don't travel alone. Lot of benefits to companions, they can carry your excess loot, pick locks, and keep stuff off of you
  11. Here is the full ranking video card list. If you click on each one it will give you more detailed results.... http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
  12. If you want to spend $150 range for a high end card. The 6850 is the way to go. It even outperforms cards that are more expensive like the 6870 which costs 35 bucks more. The 6850 is rated tops in terms of Bang for the Buck. However if money is no object..... Keep in mind make sure you have an adequate power supply and enough case room that the video card is gonna fit properly....
  13. That 5450 card is your bottleneck. that's not a gaming card, it's more for web browsing, office, watching movies, etc. Graphics intensive PC Games = No No http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=VisionTek+Radeon+HD+5450 Compare your bench score to the other cards, also look at Price per Performance chart. I won't sugarcoat it, your video card sucks!
  14. Here is Betheda's take, sounds like they see new ideas if anything that modders accomplish and perhaps release similiar changes on future games. "We've always been impressed with what the community has done with our tools. Like the Elder Scrolls Construction Set for Morrowind and Oblivion, we plan to release the Creation Kit so you guys can mod Skyrim" http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1160177-creation-engine-and-kit/page__hl__creation+kit
  15. Lot of ideas incorporated into released games come directly from modders. Harvesting flora actually removing the plant graphic was originally done by a Modder Iron sights which was modded in Fallout 3 was incorporated on the released version of New Vegas Stim packs having a heal over time effect was modded for Fallout 3 was incorporated on the released version of New Vegas List goes on and on....
  16. Nexus is a PC oriented site so no surprise the numbers are a bit skewed, haha
  17. 70's is perfectly fine on load, in fact that's real good. Even 80's is fine. When you start hitting 90's and 100's, well let's just say your graphics card may be working fine now operatiing at these temperatures but you are definitely shorteining its lifespan. If you are reaching these highs you may want to look into your case or fan layout cause it's definitely not getting proper airflow.
  18. Just one mans opinion like you have yours and I have mine... Means little
  19. Goto the main nexus Skyrim mod site and type "Shadow" under search....
  20. LOL some of the overhaul mods take 2-3 years for release as it's usually a lone guy at his keyboard and maybe 3 years later he may hire voice actors from the community and or other modders to help refine it but the grunt of the "overhaul" mod is gonna be just a single person trudging along as a side hobby. Am sure someone will "attempt" it tho but don't expect anything in 2 or 3 years.
  21. hehe, I want to see one or two big land expansions for Skyrim. New Perks, new factions etc. Bethesda would be fools to not take advantage of their present cash cow!
  22. Another option is if you have Wolf form. Go into wof form....once you back to normal you fine again. Am sure this is the first line of bug fixes soon.... Rumors are first big patch should be released next week.
