  1. In response to post #36895500. Good point. It *probably* would be able to detect what kind of mod manager it is using, but it never fails to address that not all of us use NMM.
  2. In response to post #35627282. #35627707, #35628177, #35629397 are all replies on the same post. Nothing, really, since I don't need it.
  3. In response to post #35627322. #35627617, #35627792, #35628007, #35628477, #35628922, #35629122, #35629182, #35629262, #35629352, #35632922 are all replies on the same post. >When I turn on my iPad and get bombarded by all these adds everywhere make me want to turn it off. Never had an iPad, but surely someone has figured it out how to block ads there, right? I know you can root androids and install some blockers there (never did that anyway, so I might be wrong). And yeah, I get that the cost are rising, and all of that, but at the same time, every time something monumentally stupid happens - like if someone wants you to pay for something that is free - someone smarter comes along and shows how to omit that. Or, in a few cases people revolt, and the barrier is gone. >Mandatory paid membership = paying for mods I'm willing to agree with that, even though it is not "directly" true. Either way, we have to stay on guard to make sure these things won't happen.
  4. In response to post #35627282. #35627707 is also a reply to the same post. Remember Psijonica that your argument is slightly flawed - just because someone doesn't pay for some optional feature doesn't mean they don't have money, or think the price is set too high. For some the fact that the price is set at all is already an issue. For example, I'm playing a free-to-play game right now which constantly punishes me for not getting some upgrades with mone- I mean, no, not money, uh, jewels! Yes, totally not money. But I promised myself never to stoop such low and use any of the payment options.
  5. In response to post #35627322. #35627617, #35627792 are all replies on the same post. Well, I seriously do hope that you will be wrong. Although, as the modgate showed us, we are prepared for the worst, and have a correct mindset. Just like Nexus does - the addition of donation button, a donation - not-obligatory payment - was the simplest rebuttal against Steam. It's the simple fact that telling people "you can do that" is better than "you HAVE to do that". As for how to attract more memebrships, I dunno.
  6. In response to post #35627322. > I can picture a future scenario where in ten years users would get 10 free downloads and then they would have to buy a basic $2 membership. Oh sweet cheese and crackers, no. That's a horrible future. Although, to be completely honest, that wouldn't hinder playing with mods in ANY way. People would simply upload their stuff (or other people's stuff) elsewhere. So that silly and - let's hope to god - hypothetical restriction will do absolutely nothing.
  7. I'm very glad that you have a sensible approach to adblock and did not decide to disable access to the site for people who use it - after all, this practice is futile. If you make a step towards that, believe me, people will find a way to remove that silly necessity either.
  8. In response to post #34713005. I agree. As long as I would be able to either a) stick to the old design, or b) customise the new one to remove all the pointless clutter, it is fine.
  9. Nope, that doesn't work for me. I did all that you said, but my object has no "BSDismemberSkinInstance". That strikes me as really weird: why would nifskope LIE to me about the position of an object? If I change the xyz values, I expect them to show up correctly!
  10. That has only helped me partially. There are still North Vegas residents with purple faces, but some named characters work fine. It's a shame such a great mod has such big flaws.
  11. this sadly doesn't work for me. Any other suggestions?
  12. In response to post #31569000. #31569880, #31571725, #31573255, #31573815 are all replies on the same post. >Don't use adblock, it's unreliable for preventing hijacks in the banner ads. use your HOST file instead (Windows users). heh, use BOTH. Modify the host file to get rid of any connection to those pesky sites, and Adblock to block various different ads and web parts.
  13. In response to post #31558720. #31559325 is also a reply to the same post. Yes, I really have to tell the truth.
  14. Well, I never had trust in you to begin with, so nothing has been lost.
  15. ...and? Care to share with the rest of the class? There's bloody hundreds of these flags, if you are so smart, you an tell us which one should be edited.
  16. Did you found the solution to that? I mean, unless deleting random branches is a standard procedure. Got the same error out of the blue today.
  17. Thank you! It works perfectly. I didn't know where to put it, since it looked different from the bat file on CK wikia, thus my confusion. I had to add another line to accomodate the Skyui SDK scripts, so I could compile the MCM menus :) Is there a reason why you have the dlcs scripts in a separate folder, other than it was shipped with the game that way? Regardless of that, thank you, you have made my day.
  18. It means no more compiling from the CK, but I tend to keep track of where my scripts are stored anyway. Hi, could you please detail WHERE exactly do I put this bit of code? I've managed to get Notepad++ work with MOCKfix, but can't properly compile the scripts (they won't show up in the overwrite folder)
  19. oh my god, FIVE whole vouchers? Now that was an incredible competition to enter...
  20. That looks really great! I'd like to point one thing: on the forum website lots of images from Imageshack has expired, I'd suggest reuploading them - it will surely attract more people.
  21. That didn't work, reinstalled the CK, verified caches of both games and CK and that damn file is still missing. What could have happened to it? How come the program can work one day, and stop working the next one ?! Edit: I've managed to fix that, and find the cause of it. For some absolutely insane reason, all the psc scripts evaporated from my /scripts/sources folder... I have no idea why. What's weirder, these files apparently are not counted when doing the steam cache verification... Way to screw people, Bethesda. I fortunately had another PC where I installed another copy of Skyrim and manually copied files to avoid the whole hassle with reinstalling. Hopefully this will help someone.
  22. Well, I can confirm that if Apollo knows about this, then he did a whole heap of nothing to eliminate this glitch, or at least prevent it from happening with DCO, since I got it today. As Mazdek says, disabling that ESP helps (though not always eliminates the glitch).
