Disappointed after slaying Alduin. *SPOILER*
RustyBlade replied to Cleverbot's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
So you killed the great-granddaddy of them all but yet dragons are still ravaging villages and cities all over Skyrim. Perhaps once you have killed them all there will be reason to celebrate. Besides, there is nothing wrong with being one of the great unsung heroes; history will eventually get around to recognizing you... maybe ;) -
No one man is the sole cause of any war, civil or otherwise. There has to be symapthy and support of and for the cause by a great many individuals or the war cannot happen. If Ulfric acted without support, he surely would not have been able to start the war. It is only with that support that his side has the force and momentum to to engage in a conflict on the scale of civil war. Not picking a side here, just pointing out that there are as many in Skyrim who share his view as those who do not. You give him far to much credit. As to the original poster's asking help in picking a side, I can only offer that in my experience, I chose a side based on who my character is and what backstory I imagine for him. Sometimes I go Imperial, sometimes I go Stormcloak - sometimes I kill the Emperor, sometimes I don't.

True, although that's more like conscripting her than recruiting her! More like resurrecting her since she perished when Lothering was overrun :whistling:

Matthew is part of a quest you can get from Crowley (the bird is one of his missing acts) but the quest is only available to humans afik because Crowley is a bigot. Non-humans can grab the bird and he will show up in the new camp (but not the old one.)

Or you could just open the console and type runscript zz_addparty Leliana which will put her in the party picker from that point forward,

The V key gets rid of the hud. I don't believe you can free roam, at least I have never found a way. I have discovered that for every screenshot I have taken that was worthy of posting to the image share, I took 20-30 shots that were not.

additem script

The problem in every instance you have entered is you typed .utii when you needed to type .uti - it's that extra "i" on the end that is screwing your code up. -
Patch your game to 1.04 and don't look back, you'll be fine

Is there a guide out there?
RustyBlade replied to ArchMageMatt's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
I'm going to give you this page: http://social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/index.php/Tutorials rather than one single tutorial/guide as you will need more than one of them. -

Quick question about DLC
RustyBlade replied to brokenergy's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Troubleshooting
If you are switching to Win7 you should just need to copy things to the right location. No clue on a Mac. -
Dragon Age Dark Times ACT I gives you a drake and three other companions too. Bonus: You get to keep your dog.

The more mods you have, the more unstable the game becomes especially if you are using large area mods (best to limit yourself to no more than 3 or 4 of those.) The better video card is going to speed up your game, reduce jerkiness and lag in battle scenes and cut down on crashing due to VFX overload. Notice I said reduce and cut down and not eliminate; there is only so much that can be done for shoddy programming. Another way to look at it would be to say if you built your system to the highest specs that you could and all the hardware was optimally compatible, your game would still crash occasionally when you battle Sloth. -

As long as you aren't changing your operating system you can just copy your whole My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age folder and everything will be as it was on the old machine. If you do have to reinstall, everything will have to be validated but if you have legally purchased them there shouldn't be an issue. As for DAOB, I have used it, I have uninstalled it and I can't for the life of me remember what it is :pinch: -
Make Companions Gray wardens *can any one
RustyBlade replied to darthcheeto's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Ideas
5) You need archdemon blood which you don't have and won't have until the archdemon is dead or you get what Riordan has stashed to do the Secret Companion. -
Don't take this wrong, blue is my favorite color, problem is, when you make it blue it just doesn't say "Good Morning Dave" like the red one (or Good-bye for that matter.)

Mod to skip orgins - background intro
RustyBlade replied to Zmierzchoswit's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
You are a minority of one (maybe two) unless you choose to do it yourself, don't look to see it happen as the origins are what most of us play the game for; they set the tone and the attitude that determines the rest of the game. Good luck though  -
Are there deathblows for Casters and Archers?
RustyBlade replied to Juno77's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
How are they going to do a deathblow for a ranged attack? Does the character do a little end-zone dance? -
Because if you don't the armor/weapons won't show up in game. You only need to disable the ones that spawn into your inventory, those that are purchased from merchants or are called from the console are exempt from the rule. Sadly, no unless you go the obvious route and don't use mods that spawn into inventory. Unfortunately there is no mod to do so nor is there likely to be one. Sounds to me like you have a bunch of stuff that you really aren't using on a regular basis. Best thing to do is to uninstall the mods that you aren't going to use as it will streamline the process as well as cut down on load times.

Weird Eye Color Problems
RustyBlade replied to drakman667's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Troubleshooting
Actually just the eye mods might do it although if the character in the pic is using one of the "blinded" eye textures, that is the way they should look. -

What graphics settings are you using and what kind and model of video card are you using?
