  1. DT added a bunch of hairstyles and colors; not sure if you ran the chargenmorph compiler on it. The fact that resource file is there tells me you are not running DT 1.07 which you should do as it gets rid of DT 1.06 and earlier's override folder and keeps the whole thing in your addins - this may solve some of your problems as there were quite a few fixes. I would suggest the torrent version if possible (currently 15 seeders of which I am one - goes pretty quick.) So what is in that toolsetexport folder? Try moving that one out if there is anything in it and see what happens. If you are using 1.04 you may want to go through the fix list and remove those fixes that were rendered obsolete with the new patch. Adonnay's mod is safe with anything, not sure on the Pheonix but usually weapon and armor mods don't cause issues. Did you find anything out of the ordinary in the My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\data folder?
  2. The only legal way to get it is to buy it from Bioware. I will point out that the modders here at the Nexus have made better gear accidentally than Bioware did on purpose so rather than waste your money on that junk take a look at the Dragon Age Mods for Players; you won't regret it and you will have a better DA experience.
  3. In most cases where there is a conflict, uninstalling is the only route - make sure to check the core\override and especially the core\data folders for leftovers as well. Additionally make sure that there are no leftovers in core\date from previous uninstalls as they can wreak havoc as well. If you have Witch Hunt, best to uninstall it until you are ready to use it and uninstall it again when you are done as it causes problems with some other mods also. The Winter Forge can cause issues too so if you have that you may want to try removing it as well. Dark Times by itself will not cause the hardcore invisible object bug; there are invisible objects but they are small and it is the interaction with other mods that seems to cause them to swell up and become a real problem. A list of what mods you have (other than weapons, armor, hair and face mods) would really help in troubleshooting
  4. What happens when you leave the fade? Let me guess, you have Slink's Ravage and Dark Times installed? If so, go back to your old version of Slinks Random - I've been having the same troubles. If you don't want to do that, with Uldred you can run to the left and get around it and then attack him but in must other areas you will have to use runscript zz_jump_forward to get by it. What tactics mods do you have? How many new specializations and talent groups do you have? (I know you know about the H key.) It happens, my guy has air-pillow insoles http://www.dragonagenexus.com/imageshare/images/1901964-1292012774.jpg Going to blame Slink for this one too, even with the old versions the corpses would stack or die in mid-air. Let's hope not, a full mod list would be helpful though.
  5. Re: 2-Shadowmourne (WOW): have a look at Jojjo Weapons
  6. Advanced Tactics never worked right for me on 1.03. It was probably due to another mod conflicting so I removed it a long time ago and as a result wouldn't have picked up on it's troubles. On the flip side of that, the no helmet hack wouldn't work for me with 1.03 and now works just fine on 1.04. So I would have to say that while we can't state with 100% accuracy that 1.04 is going to work with every single mod out there, it is going to fix far more than it breaks. It is a must have IMO.
  7. If it is xp you are needing, why not give the Dragon Age Beguiler 004 a try. You won't get double xp but you can add xp, attributes, skills, talents, gold and levels as you wish. I have yet to find it conflicting with anything. (I usually start my games at level 28 or higher so I can use the awakenings talents.) I'm sure that somewhere in the erfs that IA uses you will find alternate copies of files from your conflicting mods.
  8. Nothing that wasn't there with 1.03 but it does render a few of the fixes obsolete. It does make the game more stable so I strongly recommend you use it
  9. I don't think they ever intended for the toolset to be used to edit late game saves. It works just fine for early saves, modding equipment, critters, NPC's, areas, etc. Perhaps it is the game engine itself that causes the problems or perhaps they are just good storytellers with really lousy programmers. You may want to give the console debug routines a shot, again no guarantees it will fix your problem. From the Wiki: Good luck
  10. It's called the Dragon Age Toolset but unless you are running an NSA grade supercomputer you won't be able to open saves larger than 8 or 9 MB in size.
  11. Go to the main DA Nexus and in the search box type in respec. I'm sure one of those choices will work out for you, not exactly what you are asking for but they will do the job.
  12. Yes, DA is available for the Mac but you need to buy it again. Mods should work but you will need to figure out the directory structure to find your override. Now I must ask the question, if you are into games, why buy a Mac? Game releases for the Mac usually come many months after the PC release, if at all. My advice to you is unless you absolutely must have the Mac for work or school, spend that money on a high end Win7 desktop or laptop. If you go the laptop route make sure it has a real video card and not that onboard garbage (like my laptop has.)
  13. Awakening in the OC will get your tier 8 and 9 equipment into Origins (plus all the skills, specs, spells and talents. Dual Weapon Abilities for Arcane Warriors will get you the weapon use you want although you still need the master skill and the dual wield Awakenings talents will need to be added via console.
  14. You would probably have to at least go back to before your first tent scene with Al. I offer no guarantees though. Are you patched to 1.04?
  15. I'm betting on improved atmosphere as the culprit and if I am right there is nothing you can do to save your epilogue short of loading a very early save, force loading and replaying pretty much your entire game. Might also be "morrigan dark promise" as I can't find a mod by that name anywhere to check it.
  16. IA does not play well with others. It is one of the more problematic mods out there. It works for some people and others have nothing but trouble with it. It affects so many areas it is next to impossible to predict what it could be conflicting with. If you must use it, I suggest using nothing else (other than face mods) and even that may be risky.
  17. With the two exceptions, one to get the US achievement and the other to get recruiter (Loghain did the US), I always get the happy ending because I play a polygamous male. Hey everybody, we're all getting laid! :woot: *wonders if anyone will get the Dangerfield quote...
  18. Warden's Keep and the Stone Prisoner also extend your game with the normal party available
  19. Slinks s3 RAVAge will add some rather nasty red dragons randomly to your game. Dragon Age Dark Times ACT I has a few and will even give you one as a pet; it also has a whole lot more than that to offer. The Temple Of Vulak has a lot of dragons but due to some excessive use of FX it can cause instability problems on some computers. Those should satisfy you for a while
  20. Well it is 1.04 related; they never fixed the problem when they released the new patch. Come to think of it, there were a lot of problems they caused that weren't fixed... No pride in workmanship
  21. I would bet that you already have a newer or different version installed (especially in light of the registry conflict in your log.) So, the only other thing I know of to try would be to install the toolset and skip the SQL server installation. The toolset wiki says: Try that, if that fails I don't know of anything else you might try.
  22. Actually Thandal it started with the 1.03 patch. There are alternatives to the spawn to inventory method but unfortunately many of the mods that cause problems were made prior to the patch that started this whole mess. Some modders have opted to put their items into a merchant's inventory, no issues there. Others (like me) prefer to allow the player to call the items with the console so they are available on demand at no cost; again, no issue there. It's just the player made mods that add to inventory that one needs to worry about. I for one have uninstalled all those mods just so I don't have to deal with it.
  23. I see. Am I to assume that you harbor these dark thoughts for Wynne too then? :teehee: There are days
  24. Sometimes I kill him just because he won't STFU :whistling:
