  1. So you have done 5 quests to help people from each town and then the quests for the Jarl and then the Jarl made you a Thane? And still no House available to buy? Odd No, you dont get thane until AFTER you buy the house, I get to the point to buy the house. get no option for it so cant proceed
  2. very sharp.... I like this a lot, what size textures are they? and would you consider texturing all the weapons to be just as sharp?
  3. @Citadel535 thanks man but sadly no cigar this is pissing me off, and once the ck comes out I'm expecting more than a few house mods lol
  4. this is the best one at the moment. until the CK comes out you wont get any real quest ones http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3428
  5. i've tried them every hour from 8 to 20 and nothing. this is aggrivating me
  6. Just thought i'd let you guys know if you didnt already. here is the mod we've been wanting http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=874
  7. Yeah, i have the guide book for skyrim and have followed it to the letter in trying to get a house. I have tried both riften and solitude and both times when I talk to the steward after the jarl says to buy a house(and yes the journal does update with"buy a house") the steward doesnt have any dialogue for buying a house or upgrades. please someone help!
  8. Lol, reading through this the only thing I could think of is "I find a word wall, I dont learn the word.... I know! I'll write a little letter and send it by curior(sp?) to the dragonborn... and sign it "a friend""
  9. Have you tried Paint.Net, its what i use to open dds files and have made a few on my own. I'll download your piccie and see if it converts for me EDIT: Also, could you PM me the original image file and instructions on how to use it ingame. I'd like to make my own retex :D cheers
  10. could you get a choice? when your made high king you choose which city you want to run? I like NOT being the high king IMO, I stop all questlines before I hit a level of responsibility now as i feel if im not tending to said responsibilities I's not rp'ing right. That said I do like the idea of a high king mod and support it fully
  11. maiq comments on this "Maiq does not remember his childhood, perhaps he never had one" Which I take to mean: beta testers saw there were no khajiit children--> told dev team--> dev team too lazy to fix--> gave maiq another line
  12. Huh? what? heard my name? I do this too, terrible you have to resort to it huh Well, with the way bethesda determines game featues; this mod will be made, its going to get an insane amount of downloads, TESVI will have 2d map... lol Super immersion, I support. and you could have spots removed after you've cleared them xD... have to be seperate from the stock standard 2d map as not many people will love this one. but I would :D
  13. you can try but I dont recommend it. I gave up on my 10th go, switched to swords and he came down easy :S its just my advice and you dont HAVE to take it
  14. in the case of fur additions it would probably look best witht he following combinations: leather- no fur(sorry mate but it just wont work) elven- probably something resembling the wolf pelt scaled- bear or just big fur like the jarls glass- looks like a big cat pelt would go well with this. maybe even using sabre fangs to hold the fur to the armour Dragonscale- bear or big fur like the jarls iron- i'd go with wolf or fox here, colours and volume would work well steel- your looking at fox, and a lot of it. think of it as padding. dwarven- no fur(sorry mate but it just wouldn't work) plate- no fur(it'd actually get overheatingly hot and cook the wearer, even in skyrim weather orcish- same as plate ebony- as badass as ebony looks, no furs would really go with it, you could TRY elk or polar bear to offset the black and dark blues but in all I dont think it really looks like it needs fur dragonplate- I can see it as a sort of cape that fixes to both arms so the swinging of weapons creates the illusion of flapping wings. goat would probably produce the best effect Daedric- I dont mean to be mean in saying this, but if you HAVE to 'fur' the daedric armour you'd probably do best with a khajiit hide
  15. Ok, no care for spoilers: there are several points in the thieves guild quest line where both your stealth and range are rendered void. you fight in a 30x30x60 amazingly lit cylinder chamber with an enemy that uses 2 enchanted swords and can turn invisible. you don't have the darkness to hide in nor do you have the range to shoot him. You HAVE to hit him close and hard. and if you can only use bows you will be pwned, so no I don't mean daggers I mean swords. high damage/enchanted swords you can dual wield cos that's the only way a thief under level 15 will take this guy down
  16. For back stabbing you mean? Just keep the one handed skill well leveled and make sure you have some powerful one handed weapons. Thats all I can say at the moment, it may be the Spoiler forum but you have not asked for any...
  17. @Kazakovich make sure you use maces, paladins are famous for them. a mace of Turn undead would be epic for a paladin. or maybe when the CK comes out you could get yourself a mace of some healing time, so you can beat your companions healthy xD
  18. Cities in cyrodiil(sp?) are also tourist attractions Skyrim is a warzone, not too many tourists... as can be seen from the (hold) capitals: winterhold, dawnstar, morthal and falkreath Speaking of which, why dont those cities have ownable houses? yes I know winterhold has the archmages room, and dawnstar has the dark brotherhood but come on, what if I liked those cities? or if my character was RP'd to be from there, anyway back to city size Cyrodiil cities were so much different from towns and villages, but in reality a city grows from a town or village as more people come. So the skyrim designs are so much better(just look at whiterun, now THAT's an organic design) That is of course just my opinion, your welcome to disagree
  19. well lots of money is easy in thieves guild. the jobs gets you cash but no combat, so your money skyrockets. as for bow with passive thief skills, thats what I did and I did fine. HOWEVER, I do suggest you keep 2 one handed weapons on you at all times, and keep those at least 2/3rds the level of your bow, don't ask why just trust me
  20. I started at level 1 and finished it by level 10. shouldn't be too hard as long as you keep to sneak
  21. might I suggest the idea of a "leather robe"? using textures similar to the leather armour and being a slightly thicker material(scale the mesh up a little).
  22. Need to get it out of my system 1) there is a citizen(cant remember who or where) who may say "I use to fight for the stormcloaks, then I took a sword to the chest" and 2) have to say it "I use to be an adventurer, then I took a wench to the loins"
  23. for all you know some game content may change itself(cities get trees and candles) when your computers clock hits the 25th, dont hold me too it, you never can know with these things
  24. 1) getting the notched pickaxe and looking out at whiterun 2) firing an arrow at the wrong time and being greeted by 10 necromancers, 10 summoned critters, and a dragon 3) when I first saw the skeletal dragon underground... I flipped OUT 4) first time i FUUS RO DAH'd a chicken... total Pwnage
