Maximum level without mods is around 54. Total skill increases in majors come to 525 (unless you have something which makes your major skill start higher than 25). There are a few skill increases which can add on to the supposed 100 max The Night Mother's Blessing for one so 54 is probably max for most players. I managed 57 in one game although I can't remember how. I got a few points from losing major skills on exiting jail but not that many.

Malchik clone 63bz alphacentauri mark2 repossessed appears from nowhere and throws a frozen daiquiri at spyro. "Fightings's all gone to ground, mate. Eveyone's chilling out because global climatic change is gonna make that impossible in a couple of years. Best to chill too while you've got a chance." Then the Malchik clone realising that it does not in fact exist has a sudden attack of OMGOMGOMGOMGWHOTHEHELLAMI disease and vanishes in a puff of dry ice.

There was a briefly lived Chat facility. The problem was most times you tried to use it no one was there. Although the forum has a large theoretical membership only a few are 'active'. Most are here to down load mods or are relics of history. With the different time zones too it wasn't often you'd be able to have any meaningful conversations. I use MSN and any member of the forum who wants to can contact me that way for chat. Through that means I have had direct webcam and voice links too. (I don't have a webcam myself.) I feel that is enough. BTW we never mooted the idea of moderating the chat room.

All Newbies Read This Before Posting
Malchik replied to Switch's topic in Formal Warnings, Bans and Takedowns
Wheel83 says he has gone and if so he won't see this. As he points out in one of his posts it is impossible to read 'a tone' into a written reply and any assumptions we make are no more than assumptions. All one can do is say 'you are misreading my intention'. If the recipient refuses to let that go there's not much to be done about it. Whether they genuinely don't believe you or just keep posting for a need to have the last word the arguement is invariably circular. Dark0ne requested Wheel83 to drop the matter. He ignored the request. Just one of those things. -
How to get rid of finished quests shown as open
Malchik replied to Malchik's topic in Morrowind's Spoilers
I am sorry but I have not heard of this bug (or bugs). Are you playing with mods? They can sometimes affect other quests. -
rob_b drop it now please. From my reading of Vagrant's posts he is not making any statements of his views on people's sexuality but that he does not believe a sensible discussion on the subject is possible on this forum. Whether you agree or not, he is entitled to express his opinion. You may also express yours but other than a rather idiosyncratic use of the word 'perversion' - which I dislike whatever the excuse - (Vagrant is intelligent enough to know that the word is definitely shaded towards being offensive to many) - you are reading into his posts more than he said. And Vagrant I am also asking you to stop posting here. Your argument for using the word perversion smacks to me of sophistry. Whether it is or not we've heard enough.

No flaming please rob_b. The world would be a boring place if we all thought the same way but I do think you misread Vagrant's post anyway.

I am not sure what you want from a discussion. Surely it makes no difference to anyone here whether someone else decides to change gender or cross dress? Okay, we wouldn't do the same thing, but would you stop someone else from doing it? Should you care? Let us suppose it is not you but your father who after all this time tells you he has decided to become a woman. Or you mother admits that beneath the pants she wears are MALE underpants. This brings it to the personal level much more forcibly than if it is a friend or acquaintance or even yourself. My own view is that what counts in this life is being happy and anyone who professes to love another wants to see them happy. In which case the choice must be with the individual.

We want no flame wars on any matter! There are basically two kinds of valuable debate. The first is private and involves only you. You learn as much as you need to learn about any subject and then decide on your standpoint (if you feel the need to have one). There is absolutely no requirement to understand either side (indeed few people usually bother). It can go 'my mother and father vote republican, they are good people and I trust them, I don't need to hear anything more'. Or it can be 'I have studied the actions of democrats and republicans in power over the last 50 years and found that it makes no damned difference who you vote for so I shall not vote'. Or it can be 'I have examined the views of the various contestants and have decided, notwithstanding my parents' opinions, to vote democrat'. You can expand and mix and match as you choose but you get the idea. How you arrive at your decisions is entirely your affair and should never be divulged. Other people may try to challenge your views and accuse you of being illogical or irrational. So what? Humans are illogical and irrational why should you be different? No one has the right to tell you how you should think, what you should hear and the method by which you should arrive at your views. You can never win an argument with people who believe they have the right to tell you how to think so don't even enter into one. There is also no need to justify or explain your opinions (unless perhaps there is some legal issue involved). The second valuable form of debate is where your views are challenged at one remove. You hear others talking, you read articles or books, you see a film etc. etc. You learn things you did not know and this may (and equally as conceivably may not) make you reassess your earlier decision. This is where a debate thread can be useful. Provided those who are doing the debating are pretty expert in their field the 'audience' can learn a lot. Such debates can become aggressive but usually this revolves around the 'interpretation', 'accuracy' or 'completeness' of facts presented. In theory a religious debate could be conducted on those lines. E.g. The Bible says it is wrong to dance, with a discussion on which parts of the bible are relevant to that topic, what they say and how they can be interpreted. However religious debates are rarely about facts. They fall into the category of one person trying to tell others how to think. With freedom of speech they are fully entitled to do so but their own agendas make it impossible for them to hold any meaningful debate. Since the only response must be increasingly heated shouting it is better to prevent them starting off in the first place. There are many places on the net where you can debate and even rant about religion. This forum is not one of them. That is the rule. On this matter there is no debate. Is that clear.

Bloodmoon Funniest thing you've heard an NPC say?
Malchik replied to Dullahan's topic in Morrowind's Lore
The Nords in Bloodmoon have several amusing quips - one about Grandpa Goat, one something like 'his mother swapped him for a dog then sold the dog' and 'That's it, she was an ecdysiast'. (An ecdysiast is a strip-tease artist.) -
OOC> Guys, stop the squabbling. It is perfectly acceptable to say what you like in any post - and that includes annihilating everything in sight. Power posting is not banned in this part of the forum (as in the standard rp section). However it is not the best way forward as it tends to annoy other posters who wish to keep on with the arena. But anyone who gets annihilated can as easily change the rules themselves. For example - maybe the Shoggoth Army had an illusory clone army so the real army was not touched. Perhaps you have infiltrated Slyther's base and are passing on misinformation. Get creative. Of course he hasn't annihilated you. Work on the basis that each poster believes what they post when they post it but that doesn't mean it actually happened that way and there is no reason why there should ever be an end.

Quite unexpectedly everything was translocated into a different time field. Worlds collided, slipped and slithered into each other and danced a tango on the edge of reality. Then it was all back as if nothing had happened.

There already exist several Kvatch rebuilt mods. AFAIK they do not have quests but I could be wrong as I have not tried any. You can google Kvatch Rebuilt and find one site immediately.

Walk to the back of the room. The interior door will open automatically after a few seconds.

500 things you have learned in Oblivion
Malchik replied to scarhunter92's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Appropos of No.4 you ought to add that, despite there being no cattle there IS beef 13 - you can become Archmage at level 1 with no magical abilities whatsover 14 - there are several unreachable chests (Sancre Tor, Bellators Folly, Unmarked Cave etc.) 15 - M'aiq the Liar is a Bethesda apologist -
The truth of the matter is that the Mages Guild in Leyawiin has a secret role to play in floating ships over the bridges north of the town. By this means they keep out unwanted visitors. Sadly one of the mages is not to be trusted and is in league with a group of pirates.

Thieves quest: One last great Heist! : Hall of Epochs
Malchik replied to Fulgor's topic in Oblivion's Spoilers
I suggest you use the hints in the UHS website for info. It has fairly detailed description. You just haven't explored enough yet. -
Welcome to the forums. Many modders are here. Almost all are busy but you can always ask for ideas as long as you specify the kind of work you do. (Weapons by the sound of it.) See you around.

I don't know the mod but the local legion officer (unless changed by the mod) is Carmalo Truiand. You will find him in the Feed Bag most lunch times.

...ate the fishy stick. As it was not covered in chocolate he grew terrible angry and ate the teenagers as well. Quite a 'disaster' for them really. But this did not satisfy him. He had to find that ccfs. In the multiverse he was aware of the Omniscient Mussel that was guaranteed to know the answer to every question. Unaware that, having read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the only answer it now gave was 42, he went in search of it. It had to be somewhere concealed where few sane and normal mortals could exist and so he began in rural Idaho, USA. There he found...

...soon completely out of its - er - ferrule? It started swinging to the tune of the famous Gene Kelly number 'Swinging in the Rain'. Then the whole place started swinging. You have never seen such a swinging environment. They were so engrossed in this that no one noticed as the ccfs slipped into the workshop to join them all determined to prove it could groove as well as anyone. Uncle Sweetshare then decided the music was too starchy and turned to the Antarctic Monkeys for an alternative. Everything cooled down at once except for the poor ccfs who found his chocolate had melted and he was clearly visible as - horror of horrors!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Immediately.....

Otherwise known as the chocolate coated Fishy Stick. Yes, the fishy stick was trying to make a come back in disguise. Can you believe it? The only difficulty for the chocolate coated fishy stick (ccfs) in its endeavour was...

I have stated the position clearly. The fact that you find it illogical and you think illogicality is wrong I hear. The situation will not change.
-
If flaming occurs and is noticed or reported on any forum it gets removed and the offenders earn strikes or bans. (You were a moderator once, you know how it works.) It is not specific to the debates section. The decision to ban debates on religion was taken by Dark0ne, whose forum it is, but supported by the moderators including myself, after some exceptionally virulent insults from you to other forum members. You say it is illogical to ban religion but nothing else. I hear you. The situation will not change. If we suddenly started getting a rash of racist, sexist, genderist, ageist etc. etc. posts then we might go beyond simple deletion or banning individuals to banning those topics too. Fortunately so far these have been the exception rather than the rule. And you are being honest in saying you admit to insulting others. I am being equally honest when I say it is against the rules and will not be accepted.
-
Reverend Peregrine, can you not understand that this forum does not permit flaming on any issue? It's in the rules. Are they not clear? Flaming includes insulting others, which you freely admit that not only do you do, but that you enjoy doing. If you had been prepared to present your case without resulting to insults it is highly unlikely any ban would have been imposed in the first place. You brought the ban into force and however much you wish it hadn't happened and however illogical you think it is, you have to live with it. So please, just drop the matter.
