  1. Meh, its getting on being the Month of May in my game world.... Don't really care having fun, I'd say the real conflict in doing the quests comes in where I'm worried I might miss something if I do Y before X. Anyway its not like I intended to go looking for Shaun just like I never finished the main quest in Skyrim. Its a game that suffers on its main quest because there are a lot of things that are way more interesting for me to do...I was warned up front with E3 footage on this though. I knew I would be building up killer looking locations 7 real world months ago and that Shaun would be on the back burner perhaps forever.
  2. Well I didn't like Fallout New Vegas, I played it all the way through and beat it. Played FNV quite a lot but really it was mods that extended that games lifespan for me and really even then the mods didn't quite help FNV as much as it helped Fallout 3 for me. The one mod that really got me racking up hours in FNV was Tale of Two Wastelands...So I could play Fallout 3 in a very stable environment as that team pretty well crushed a lot of game crashing issues. I would have to say that Fallout New Vegas was, small, weak premise that didn't feel engaging with the Fallout theme of being from a Vault, and the plot line didn't catch for me. I can go on about a lot more weaknesses but really when I can sit here and honestly say that the story of FNV didn't catch and felt weak and almost forced well I have said that clearly its "strongest" point of sale pushed by its fans just fell flat for me. No amount of discussion is going to change that. In a way if you feel that way about Fallout 4 then really there is no point in saying "it gets better" or "mods will save it" cause I can tell you mods wont save it if you don't have the bug to play it. For me I haven't been able to stop playing Fo4 except when I need sleep...Or when Im curious about what people are yaking about on the internet as is the case now. I really am happy with how much has improved all the way around and honestly well I may be taking my sweet ass time to play this game as I have not finished the main quest haha...I'm enjoying building up my settlements and going out to shoot stuff and loot their trash to build up my forts  Probably will have a ball with the modding and working with a mod team on development I hope like I did with Skyrim. I'm going to be honest here, Fallout 4 has certainly addressed its combat mechanics for the better....This is probably often overlooked just how important this singular fact is. _______________________________ Edit added more Now I know a lot of people are groanin and moanin about lack or no survival gameplay elements but... Those will come in time and they will be optional instead of a cheesy thing attached to gimmicky achievements. I'm sure someone out there might make a "Frostfall" type mod with a winter overhaul....I'm hopeing for better radiation storms myself and radioactive rain. Mostly at the moment I'm hoping for some AI Tweaks and more AI budgets like we got for Skyrim as my settlers sometimes just stand around staring off into the distance...I'm thinking the AI budgets most be off.
  3. You have a 300 Watt Power Supply, I'd suggest getting a new PSU and a GTX 970 Nvidia Graphics Card all the way especially since pretty much all the 2015 games were optimized for the Nvidia cards heck there are whole hate threads devoted to this.
  4. Game is fine as is outta the box and deserves those high scores. I have Witcher 3 and have over 120 hours playing it and really its not my cup of tea and comparisons between Witcher series games and Bethsada Games just feel so out of place but I suppose your not familiar with the difference of 3rd person and 1st person. The difference of being a clearly defined person in a clearly defined role, yes you don't get to play a non-mutant, female, who is a magician or a musician in the Witcher Series nope. I've played Witcher since it first released back with "The Witcher" you know before the sequels and I can tell you that yes that series has a certain reputation for pushing the hardware limitations into the realm of your computer will choke on this game. So lets have a reality check here, most normal people never get to play Witcher of any given number at full graphics settings. It wasn't the Witcher either that sent people out to buy upgrades for their computer not like Fallout 4 did. Graphics for Fallout 4 are just fine and respectable as aposed to a game like Witcher 3 where they literally had to roll back the graphics just so the consoles wouldn't choke. Surprising how many people forget that happened. To top it off at some point graphics cant be the end all be all of measurements for if a game is "great"...As clearly there are people that don't enjoy W3 clearly as much as some people out there think we should. As it is most people in the world don't have a computer that has the power of an Xbox 1.
  5. Well for one a lot of encounters in the game are "in progress" meaning its entirely possible if you take your sweet time getting into view that the encounter is finished due to one side killing off the other. That issue will happen with far greater frequency if your Ugrids to Load is set higher than the default of 5. When your running around and hear stuff like gunshots that isn't ambient noise there is an actual gunfight raging nearby and it will resolve itself without your presence.
  6. In response to post #28895864. Well I should replace "enterprise" with able to make bills by sale of work, still most would consider what I do to be a hobby only...But I survive off of my stuff.
  7. I've made a living getting on 20 years as an Artist. Does that count as turning a hobby into a paying enterprise? You realize that on the internet that saying loses its validity. You now know a man that goes against that grain and now its just not so rare anymore. As an Artist, I can personally tell you that the mod user's, interested parties, and damage control teams have all been hurtful to the creative parties involved. I find some of the passages here to be very spiteful, poorly worded, and downright insulting.
  8. In response to post #28802114. Then people need to wake up and realize that the Creation Kit is not the only available free to use Developer Tool Kit available. In fact that bridge was long ago past and at the present time there are a whole variety pack of programs available for use that have much more generous terms of use than the Geck or CK do. Since this new reality has obviously crept up on the community as it were...I understand that it may be difficult to realize but there are modders leaving the system as it is for better tools, better terms, and better outcomes. In fact many of my favorite modders have already crossed that bridge as it were. Not too long now and more with the passion and ability will do the same. The current status que relies too much on fresh faces with no skill. _________________________________________ ' Its not a matter of copyright law. Its a matter of those with the skill realizing that we indeed have it in ourselves to create our own content that is under law ours. That content can then be put into programs and software with tools available that have a minor fee in comparison and then packaged sold as a game, across many platforms beyond just the computer. _____________________ Which leads me to my point. What is Bethsada and interested parties going to do about that? In this present Time. We have it in our capacity to team up and create a game that we can sell as ours. Many of us don't even need to go that far as it is currently with the options available to create a meaningful income for ourselves.

  10. There are a lot of potential sources that this issue can come from. I have had a CMStorm Recon Mouse cause issues such as this. Simple fix for me was stop using that mouse...Thing is later I discovered it had to do with its DPI settings that effected how fast the mouse is supposed to move on the screen, Skyrim would hiccup/freeze on occasion due to having the highest DPI on the mouse. IF your using a game mouse be sure to check out its control panel and look for your DPI setting. The thing is a lot of the settings in your Graphics Card Panel should be tailored specific to Skyrim's needs, I don't know all of them off hand but for the most part you do not want to have forced anything on Skyrim (which might seem brilliant to some but uh no bad idea). Experienced modders will use ENB Boost, ENB doesn't need to be enabled to get a lot of graphics fidelity or the benefits of crash reduction either. ENB Boost in fact does address a lot of inherent issues that can cause slight freeze, thing is its too much effort to list out for you. Even playing Default Game I'd suggest you to get yourself a copy of Unofficial Patches, thing is these are best on a new game. They effect a great deal of things Skyrim is a fairly big place after all. VSYNC, That is something better set in ENB Boost but normal game use the one in the launcher not forced in Graphics Panel.
  11. Oh right that's caused by Frostfall when you are wet, and it gets worse when soaked the effect is intentional....IDK I just was wondering myself I feel this confirms it though and having my character standing at a fire resolved the shader.
  12. I agree the name is too similar and of course the obvious question next is will it be compatible with GDO which I wouldn't see why not.
  13. In response to post #24764834. #24765094 is also a reply to the same post. Actually people on other boards were investigating this and SkyUI 5.0 proved to be rewritten on an entirely other platform to avoid the issue. But they caught others using photo's and contacting authors of those photo's and followed through to declare stolen content. Chesko had to strip most of the content that made his mods such interesting pieces of work and pretty much left the mods in question a less appealing mod than the free versions. Although Fore decared his own rights on the usage of his own platform in the Fishing mod. We were at a serious risk of having newbies placing mods up for sale using programs of questionable nature. Skyrim is much more popular to a entire host of better educated and more professional peoples across the whole world you will find that our mods do not exist in a vaccum and these mods do come under scrutiny from big companies. This should not come as a surprise for the well in-formed.
  14. There doesn't really need to be a discussion on why a mod author should get a financial reward for their efforts. The talks are ignoring or ignorant of a key fact here. Legal Issue. You think your going to get paid on your work. Fine, here's the problem. How was your mod created, Programs Used. So many of these require a Contractors License for works that are to be sold. Do you really have any idea what the cost is for that License? We're talking thousands of dollars here. Then there is the assets used from other authors. It doesn't matter if your just using a photo, as it was something that came up over the weekend a simple in-game fan made photo can be enough to disrupt your sale of your product. The modders that tried the pay-wall approach proved to be woefully unpre-pared to approach the sale of their mods and the whole execution of this new program ignored so many legal bounderies that its just appalling to me. What you think we're not going to face issues? The modding scene for Skyrim is multi-national and big companies do pay attention to what we mod authors make. Don't kid your-self the whole thing is proof enough that companies want to attach a monetary value to the works we do and to tap in. The trouble that proved the downfall of this whole thing really keeps coming back to this. We use a ton of programs that all have legal documentation that would have come back to bite this whole thing in the buttacks.
  15. Paywall, Really the issue should have been the legality of mods that use content created with outside applications that have explicit legal documentation on the rights of the end-user ie the mod author. The documentation for just about every piece of software I've ever used denies the right to profit off of the works created via its software platform. This is dangerous territory for big companies to just gloss over and most of the community has basically flat out ignored the issue of this. Its appalling.
  16. They know how many hours you and I spend playing this game. For some of us we are literally pushing past 2,000 hours spent playing. This is something that a game industry doesn't want, especially Steam a seller of games. Sellers don't want you to get this kind of life span out of a 50 dollar product! They want you to be done with it in like 10 hours and then come back tomorrow to buy another $50 worth of carp. The problem with it is that we don't purchase more content, we come home finish up our stuff, and then we log into play Skyrim and here we are what getting on 4 years later and we cant wait to play Skyrim. The problem with Steam is they don't have any products that a guy like me wants most of their products are garbage and my Steam library is pretty petite as a result just face it there really are no good games that can stand up to the beast of modding. So this is their solution put a price tag on modding and destroy its community. Not everything is on Nexus their are some other huge modding communities that are pushing the boundaries, scope, and even the scale of Skyrim. I honestly think the whole thing is meant to put some reins on modding and get players back to spending cash on their bad products and aweful games.
  17. The amount of hours thousand's of them spent modding my games... I know from experience that many mods can look good, sound good, and yet are not really that good and come as a alpha that is totally gonna ruin a game. Sorry but I've just spent about a hundred hours fixing up a game over the last week and much of that was spent fixing up mods that were not mine just so that I could use them. Can I upload the fixed mods NO. There is so much stuff that it takes to mod a game really well and on top of that it takes a good depth of experience. If your going to offer a mod for cash, think I'm going to be happy if I gotta fix that? Cause if I purchase it I expect it to work.
  18. You could try Consul Command EPC enable player controls (for Short) You might try a save cleaner. Also consider asking the author of immersive first person he might be more familiar with how to go about a fix or if it was possible. Thing is IFP is not the only mod that can cause the issue. I've had it happen with Death Alternative, though that mod has its own debug scripts that seemed to resolve the issue. I'm not saying go download a mod to fix this though you might not even like that mod. I'm just trying to say it can happen with other mods in the LO. I think it has something to do with the player not getting back full control after a scene.
  19. When you launch a game you should launch it from the Mod Manager not from Steam. The author Gopher would cover that and way more, he also covers Tweaks, ENB, most popular mods, mod cleaning, mod selection....So much stuff its a bit much to me that you'd wave off such a good resource.
  20. @ SRSR333 Sorry your feathers are ruffled but lets get this clear Those suggestions are all valid points on making things perform better. Given the thread title and such. Given that I leaped in here and addressed your issues and offered so many point by point suggestions. Looked through all of your ini files, purused your mod list looking for problems..... You should be a little more appreciative of my having given to you my "free-time" to help you resolve your issue. Thanks for being a brat, guess the jokes on me then. Happy Turkey Day.
  21. Slow down. Reinstall Skyrim to Steam directory. Stop Launching Skyrim in Steam. You really need something like Gopher's Mod Sanctuary or Mod Clinic. There are just way too many things to just cover. If you haven't done this yet please unsub from Steam mods. Google Search Begginers Modding Guide Skyrim Google Search First Time Modding Guide
  22. Sorry this is just an example of having mods in the list that effectively do the same thing and come into conflict. Mods themselves are totally fine but what your encountering is 2 mods that both want to alter the same things. Then you removed one of the mods and it created a new issue. Nothing strange about that really. You might have to start a new game or roll back to a previous save to undo the damage you have done. Best practice is too avoid using mods together that do things similar. I mean that really 5,800% <---well above 100% certainty.
  23. Well uh it was made in 2012, More than that uh your probably using stuff that alters the stance like a Skeleton Replacer. So I'm going to lay these other ideas out there that could cause an issue. What if it was in fact never fully resolved issue back in the day? What if in fact this was working then in that mod environment but bound to fail with the mods that we put in today at the tail end of 2014? What I'm getting to is in fact you may be using up a lot of time to get an old mod working that may in fact require some special reworking of the meshes weights in a program like outfit studio or perhaps 3DS Max. Sorry dude just calling it for how I see it. Its a small issue that I wouldn't have re-installed the whole game to resolve.
