  1. Thanks for all the hard work Dark0ne :D
  2. I AM the Journeyman O_O
  3. Depends on the story and the character design. Believe it or not the sex of the character should matter in the story imo. If I'm playing as a female cowboy in 1897 I would like a good reason why other than it being a cheap gimmick. I also don't care to play as a samurai/ninja/warrior/whatever wearing nothing but a shoelace they jokingly call a "bikini."
  4. -The bolt action has the most solid locking mechanism of any action with a magazine. -Automatic/Semiautomatic rifles use a gas flow system that ultimately slows down the bullet decreasing both range and accuracy. -Bolt actions can not physically jam. -Their ejector allows for easy and discreet procurement of the shell after firing. Other actions tend to throw brass further making it easier to see and harder to obtain by the shooter without disclosing their position by needless movement. -The bolt action is the simplest form of action besides break action. This allows for easy cleaning and less parts. -It's the most discreet rifle to fire since it requires the least amount of movement to operate without throwing brass around like an automatic would. In response to the OP, lever actions are great but most common models have one drastic fallback. Because most lever action rifles use a tubular magazine their particular rounds must be rounded at the tip which drastically reduces range and accuracy compared to a traditional spitzer round. The only exception is custom ammo with special tips or a few select lever rifles such as the 1899 Savage which had a rotary magazine that was later replaced with a box magazine. This however would also require custom made ammunition since it was not chambered in traditional rifle rounds such as the 308 or 30-06.
  5. Wow. Amazing nugget of help there buddy… thank you! With the help that you’ve given me, I think my second Fallout go-around is going to be much smoother than the last one. I’ve also noticed the help you’ve been giving other users… you’re a cool dude. I do believe Kudos are in order. Thanks again.
  6. Thanks for the reply but my problems here seem to be rooted much deeper and I'm afraid it's a little beyond my skill to lock down. I've decided to wipe everything off my computer and start fresh. I think I'll start with the bigger mods like Fook while taking the time to be more mindful of load order and put more emphases on BOSS and Flash. Thank you for the advice proconsu1 and if you're still willing I am curious about Wrye Flash. I used Bash back in the Oblivion days but somewhere around Python I got confused and it seems to be the case here as well. As I understand it, and correct me if I'm wrong, BOSS and Flash will work together right? When I run BOSS, Wrye Flash will automatically apply the bash suggestions? I guess my real confusion is why Wrye Flash needs: *Python 2.6.5 *wxPython 2.8.10.1 *comtypes *psyco 1.6 for Python 2.6 *PyWin32 for Python 2.6 or *Wrye Python 02 Which one do I choose? Allot of questions I know… I'm still a noob at heart
  7. I don't think it's a load order problem although I'm sure it could use some reworking once I do find out what's wrong with it.
  8. As I said the game crashes on start up and I could really use some help. Even with the esm and all the esps turned off I can't get the game to start. I'm not new to mods and I've installed so many the exact same way as this but there is something I must have done wrong. When I dropped the meshes, textures, and files into my data folder I did notice 2 files that were overridden "2.hareloadF.kf" and "2mareloadI.kf" Could these have caused this? Does anyone even know what they belong to? I pulling my hair out over this so any help you could offer before I go completely bald would be greaaaaat… thanks. Here's my load order… and before you say it I know project beauty has a MMM esp and I've tried activating it but no dice. I'll leave it off for now. 9. Sounds messy… I think for anyone to help we'll need to see your list of active mods.
  10. Since your mod list is not all that long, I would suggest creating a new character and systematically deactivating one mod at a time until you see a change. I would also suggest doing the same thing with just the Fallout.esm activated. Just be sure you use a new save or character. If you still see the problem then there must be some leftovers somewhere in your data file. If that’s the case you may have to uninstall the game as usual and then manually go back to your program files to remove anything left behind because the uninstaller often leaves things behind that weren't there before (mods and the like). I came across this problem when I had to uninstall Oblivion. Hope this helps... I'm still pretty new at this myself and I'm not all that familiar with your chosen mods.
  11. After extensive testing and fiddling with the mod manager I finally discovered the mod causing all the trouble, "Binoculars and Scopes." After deactivating the esp the problem was resolved with not only the test characters but the original save that started it all. Why this problem only manifested after the destruction of Megaton is still a mystery to me but I'm just glad to say it won't be missed. Thank you blove and coin409 for your responses.
  12. Something has also taken the 20th century weapons out of the Super Mutant's hands. Not that I'm complaining about that... ("Very Hard" super mutants with ten thousand rounds a minute sucks)
  13. It's driving me freaking nuts. I'm sure it's either a mod conflict or load order problem but I don't know which one. Here's my load order... 14. So I've been noticing this strange occurrence for a little while now. When I shoot my bow and arrow (or a spell) at certain objects the game freezes up and goes nonresponsive. I'm not sure why this is... The first time I did it was in the popular cabin in the woods mod. I cast a fire spell into the fireplace after placing the firewood not knowing all I had to do was hit space (yes I suck) and then it just freezes. I thought it was just an isolated incident but then I noticed it happening with some items set to run Havoc as well... traps, people, etc... Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone know why it happens? Does anyone know how to fix it? Who won the 1956 World Series?
