  1. In response to post #33862040. i kinda agree with you there. They need more skilled people, all over the board. Textures are 2k, but look worse than skyrim in some areas (hell, some almost reminded me of fallout 3). And we see what modders here have pulled off in therms of texture improvements. They need to get their s#*! together! ESPECIALLY in the frigin world! Even in 1080p the textures look blurry, washed out, and the stupid fog they use all over the damn place makes everything look like someone is trying to hide poor work. Their codes tend to be terribly optmized and buggy. To the point where i think a large enough group of monkeys with typewriters can do the same. ANd just look at what tim did with skyrim. With my old ATI radeon hd 5870 i had like 40ish FPS at release, now i run the official texture pack at 60. ONLY thanks to game optimizations from bethesda's side. Get some damn beta testers. Yes, it is one of the most stable releases ever. But come on, even your fans are mking fun of you for your bug riddled games. Bethesda, get your s#*! together. I don't care if they pick 100 random modders to do it, or if they pay people. Hell, as long as i got all other expenses covered, i'd happily test their game for a whole frigin month if i could just dick around in it and report any bugs i found. I wouldn't even demand payment per hour for it!
  2. Just tought i would drop byy and clarify a few things regarding my previous post. No, i did NOT give away my credit card info. I provided proof of purchase by, if memory serves me right, sending them a message cotaining a picture of my Steam library with skyrim in it. I actually obught the Collectors edition (i got the game, a t-shirt, the paper map, the goty map, the sketchbook and the statue) ALso, europeans does mostly bank cards (can't be overdrawed) and credit cards. At least we do in norway ;) I haven't even heard about debit cards.
  3. A really great system jsut got even better. I remember about a yar ago (right aftre skyrim was released). I was doing a sweep in the coment field to report torenters. An of hand coment that could indicate that i had torented myself got me banned in less than 5 minutes. I even had to provide screenshots from steam (and the cover of the game) to get the ban lifted. It was all my mistake, but it really proves how effective the moderators are. And now they made it even better!   4. i am having some weird problems with wrye bash lately.   7. NOOOOO!!!!!!! seriously, did bethsoft finally find it? you don't need to answer. i know what i need to know. oh well, that is one mod to delete from my list over essential 100 mods for FNW (the list only includes legal mods). :( thanks for answering.
  8. I have not been playing FNW for a long time, and recently decided to pick it up again. i came to dig up my #1 mod, Requiem of a capitale wasteland, but i could not find any traces of it. Could someone please direct me to a place where i can download it :biggrin: If the mod broke some site rules, and got taken down, would you guys please explain what they did. :confused: Edit: if there is a link, please link me to the official site, if they have one.
  9. seriuls,y are ou trolling? you can equip ANY 1h weapon to the left hand. all you need to do is click the left mouse button on the weapon to equip it in left hand (note. controlls are mirrored pr default on pc version) :thumbsup:
  10. The XX ones stand for the load order. say that dawnguard is loadead as mod number 02 and is assigned load code 02 then you need to replace the XX wit 02. use the NMM to identify the load code for dawnguard. hope it helps
  11. hmm... wel, you have more controll of which mods you have with NMM. it also makes it a LOT simpler to install and uinstall mods. I would recomend that you use the NMM. there is ismply just to much to do by hand if you don't. if you do it manually you need to make sure load order is right, make archive invalidation, place the files in the right place... all this is done by, or can be done by the NMM. it isimply enough to click "install" and then you are good to go. about crash chances. i would say that NMM reduces conflicts and thus reduces crach % chanse. it does not affect the game in any way i don't know if you are new to modding, or if you are a veteran. It wil not affect the answer. GET NMM ASAP :thumbsup:
  12. do a quick google-search. there are a lot of mods out there. some of them even have collour-codes for engine, ammo-rack, driver, weak spot, thick spot etc. not all of them are patched to latest version, but they wil work (in the theory) :biggrin:
  13. sorry to say, but then it wil not work. try using the consolle to start a quest AFTER the shack. use coc <cellname> to get out of the shack.

So i take it theres a small chance that it is overheating Update:ive installed a few texturing mods and also the official texture pack and none of them work. i tried going into free cam and i could see the map somewhat.   15. using cff explorer to add a tag called "app can handle >2gb" allows it to uthilise 4 gb.

  17. yes, actually. it appear that your head mesh is bugged. start with mods that replace armors, weapons, AND body. for example cbbe... also, are you sure that your pc gets ebough cooling? if not, try cleaning it and moving it to a more open area. THIS IS JUST TO FIND OUT IF IT IS THE GAME OR YOUR PC: use the highres texture pack, and mods thatt alter meshes. why? because this is a problem with textures or meshes.. it usually appears if there is something wrong with your pc, or if the game simulates the textures wrong. if the bug stil occurs, then something is worng/damaged with your pc. sry to say that :confused:
  18. sounds like a tagdoll/knockback problem... a mod that alters ragdol/knockback might fix it.
  19. 1. make sure you have the latest patch for skyrim (per default donloaded by steam). 2. uppdate ALL drivers to the LATEST version. you might want to try some beta drivers. i had the same problem, and uppdating the drivers fixed it. 3. validate steam cache for the game. 5. reinstall the game (takes ~5h without disc/hardcoded, and 10 min with disc/hardcoded). if it didn't work: sit town and cry, or do whatever you want in order to deal with the trauma 6. perform a ritual killing of your computer. NOT RECOMENDED IF YOU PLAN TO USE IT AFTERWARDS ;D
  20. i was using patch 1.3 and had aproximately 30-40 fps at ultra on an UNMODDED GAME. i then installed patch 1.4, and my fps wnt up to 50-60 fps in the generall forrest, but i suffered CTDs like every 2-4 minute. i reinstalled the game, and now my fps is like 15-25 fps. o have validated steam cache, defragmented the hdd, reinstalled the game..., but no effect. turning down the gfx doesn't even affect it :confused: does annyone have an idea about what COULD be wrong. :thumbsup: please, don't post the comon ini theaks. i have tried that.
  21. i have tried with and without mods. there should not be anything that might affect the result. the fps is stable even if i go from low gfx to ultra. 20-30 fps. i have not tried with a new savagame though, but i don't want to loose my 50h+ mage. i notice that too. i installed the texturepack prior to getting like 50-60fps. can't wait to see the fps without it... :biggrin:
  22. i did reinstall skyrim, and it DID fix it. only problem is that my FPS went down from ~40 to ~20-25. i have no idea why!
  23. to decide we need to look into the history, and be paranoid. originally there was 8 "things" who protected man from extinction. 1 was the amulet of king, and 1 was the heart og lorkhan. 1 is troath of the world (the mountain) 1 is believed to be the orb in the dwarven riun (mzulf i think. the giant cave with al the mushroms). the remaining 4 (which i can't recall the name of) is also destroyed. this means that the only 2 remaining "things" perventing the thalmor from reaching their goal of wiping out the humans lie in skyrim. if you don't believe me, then go read the lore. conclution: skyrim needs a powerfull standing army capable of both providing a frontline against a potentiall thalmor attack AND an available army ready to march in and save the day. the stormcoaks got a standing force, but the imperials got an army in cyrodiil. the ideal would be an alliance (and it can be forged if you keep on playing the mq WITHOUT taking sides, but that is just boring), but that is highly unlikely. the empire has the manpower to provide BOTH a standing force, and an army at alert. this makes the imperials best when only looking at the military part. you also got their ideals to look at. both hate the thamor (the empire only signed the treaty in order to survive), but that is about it. the thalmor hate you no matter what you chouse, and there is no problem by killin them whenever you meet them. Stormcloaks: a bunch of racist nords having taken up arms against the empire. they hate anyone not being a nord. they only want to have skyrim as a free country. they do not care about the other provinces, or politics in general. this makes it hard for them to get help from other races. they value the traditional nordic ways of doing it. that means "if it does not do as we say, then killl it". they appear eager, but it is not known what wil happen when they win. wil the go on a rampage, or wil they fade into oblivion? Imperials: fights for peace. seems to be on the side of the thalmor, but are just pretending to. truth is, if they had the chance, and the manpower, to wipe out the thalmor they would do so. they want a strict society with clear laws. they don't hate the stormcloaks, they just see it as a duty to fight them. the imperials got good connections arround tamriel, and most people would suport them if they manage to "free" them from the thalmor. this makes the imperials the best choise if you hate the thalmor, and want skyrim to be free (at least as free as it can get in the long run). i have not taken personal preferences into account. ho and... the khajiit ar FORCED to follow the thalor. they would easily join the impeials if elesweyr were to be liberated. this would not happen if the nords did it.
  24. hmm... try the general sugestions. validate the files using steam, defragmenting skyrim folder... and most importantly try unticking all your mods. travel to someplace indors, back out again and see what happens.
