  1. One of my faves! But wouldn't it be fun if the programmers had the NPCs knock? As it is, that half-assed lining up and stepping through one after the last without checking or knocking was so obnoxious that one of my other faves cuts all that crap out and saves you three minutes of your life when a few folks want to leave or enter at the same time. (The Bannered Mare or Fallout 4's Museum of Freedom ringing any bells?)
  2. Have you seen anyone knock for any reason in the whole game? (Actually, that'd be a good mod...)
  3. I want a step-by-step means to update the ASLAL for Nyhus, Haafstad and Folkstead to form 44. Before anyone asks, they have multiple masters. Chances are they work anyway, but I want Wrye to STFU.
  4. I can see that sort of trespassing avoidance being useful in the larger properties (Blue Palace, Palace of the Kings, Clockwork Castle) but not for the smaller, more integrated places like player homes. Add to that that the Steward would need added lines/responsibility for getting news into private spaces when it's time to consult with or otherwise contact the residents therein.
  5. I don't suppose a SSEEdit script copuld be made to apply the expected version number onto DLL files?
  6. Are any of the additemmenu types of mods working at the moment?
  7. ...and Modern Scrolls is a thing; I have a couple of suggestions. First is replacing spinning wheels with... spinning wheels (that are craftable with things like Campfire and Hearthfire) for the crafting of clothing, part 2 of which involves... sub-menus/keywords. Look, thousands upon thousands of items in one list is, in a word, insane. This is especially true when you can't page down or page up that list. I mentioned Modern Scrolls. I love it. I think the continued drive to give it flavoring of the main setting would be good. Scaling interiors closer to scale, more interactivity... making the inhabitants be Tamrielic races/bodies. Since I'm not even slightly above utilizing the clothes of the Modern scrolls, they will surely be a better fit that way...
  8. There are already mods for constructible scrapping robots and corpse removal has been a checkered hot mess for fallout 4 since the game came out.
  9. This would actually fit much better as a Skyrim mod than a Fallout 4 mod. Rad-rats are weird hairless things and the Skeever equivalent is the Molerat, whose Brood mother weirdly seems to be the same size as a generic Molerat, maybe 50% bigger. A huge Molerat Matron would go very well, I think.
  10. Seriously, how hurtful to framerate is this endless shifting lightshow outside of mapped space? I figure it has to be awful; anytime some goof makes part of the floor or ceiling of an interior space poof (hey, that rhymed!) the framerate slows down like someone sprayed your computer or console with a Cryolator.
  11. I love Brandoman's Old World Radio. (both mods) I've used them since they came out. The time has come, I think, to discuss a mod so you can control the station volume via MCM. Object clutter has gotten to near-lethal levels for the mod-heavy player anyway, so why not lighten the load by ending the necessity for all those Holotapes and/or making one radio settings holotape that detects and controls stations you have installed?
  12. Laser tripwires are in existence but the other suggestions (along with a side-swinging spike like what killed Thorgrim in the first Conan movie) would be good. I have never used the traps section of Workshop as they seem inconsistent and likely to snag your settlers if I'm honest.
  13. Unless we are dealing with something like Sim Settlements' Altairp's Animal Farm, a system of breeding and raising livestock would need to be worked up.
  14. There would have to be suitably mutated Radlepus (Night of the Lepus/Left Turn At Albuquerque) and Radvamps at night (Giant mutant bats from old test caves, also Bat Country)
  15. With the working vehicle mods, I keep hoping for Bonaparte to get built as there are dead tanks to get parts from.
  16. ...are you kidding me, worm82075? Legendary to Special was acceptable but the rot was already showing. It's never been a hassle about incremental updates if the things solved actual problems. Not ONE of the forced problems of Fallout 4 like Godrays turning themselves back on or that flipping autorotation has ever been fixed by Bathysphere updates. Hell, every Papyrus improvement has come solely from modders! Special Edition to Anniversary Edition was a pure cash grab, putting in "fishing" as a FETCH QUEST and taking every other popular lore piece and quest idea for over 15 years with the same lack of regard for or comprehension of the assignment. Then they did it again! FO4 doesn't NEED to be in line with Skyrim and Most of us (myself in particular) find the whole notion of putting it in line with Skyrim to be pure desecration, something that was purely borne out in the Nerftastic Degrade. Steam kowtowing to Thugs-be-duh is a pain, yes, but never seek to excuse the asscrack gougemasters. I have long since considered them the Bathysphere because there's no depths too low for them to sink to. (Incidentally, the Amazon series was good despite Bethesda, not due to them. I do thank the company for managing to daisy-chain the show's events through the timeline, but that goodwill fades away very easily when it occurs to me that Buggy had NO EXCUSE to misclassifly even things as simple as Power Armor defense ratings if they could pull off event threading this well. Bottom Line, Don't bother defending the indefensible.
  17. It's pretty self-evident what I'd like... If you have something with lots of options like Dreivor's tattoos, trying to get to what you want can just about drive your scrolling key/button down into the crawlspace under your house or the apartment below yours. And having too many of anything in one list just helps add to everything in the universe replaced with Left Arm.
  18. This can already be done with the proper mods; Start Me Up Redux (the continuation/refinement of the original SMU) gives you the option of just the usual, skipping Prologue, starting as one of the other Vault Dwellers, or any of a number of Wastelander starts. Other mods kill the critters, rewrite or cancel out the "mainquest", and so on.
  19. The fact that the Void is a cascade of light is the problem? Maybe... just... change that?
  20. That's what leads to the whole PRP business, yep...
  21. The problem with canceling Precombines is and always has been that the engine cannot handle that many separate objects. That's why crap that breaks precombines in cells ends up leading to hideous slowdowns and outright CTD. With the game about to get the threatened Next-Gen Nerfing, it is certainly NOT time to derail the engine.
  22. Scribe Haylen has a radiant of seeking small items across the Commonwealth. What I'd think would be good is the main Brotherhood sending you out with colored smoke flares to mark items they'd reclaim like Downed Vertibirds and all those spare sets of power armor you find or win off of Raiders. Mark a site, get a reward, and the Brotherhood sends a 'bird with a recovery crew.
  23. Very true. I'm still very unhappy at the punitive "update" for Fallout 4, but steps will be taken to minimize the damage.
  24. Hell, any better fate than (for no reason) killing Roger Warwick. Synth Reclamation does damned little reclamation when you get right down to it!
