  1. Looksmenu, especially when expanded, is a glorious tool for appearances. There is a small improvement that would reap great dividends. Long menus often benefit from enablement of the Page Up and Page Down keys, and Looksmenu menus can become very long indeed with large tattoo/overlay lists, hair and/or beard mods, and especially preset lists. This becomes even more important for users of Custom Companions and Settlers as they make their new settler/companion distinct using... looksmenu. Cursor or hotkey, it's still the same utility and thus making the menus easier to navigate will save a significant amount of time.
  2. ...maybe it's time to expand on mods like 2287 Posters and billboards, creating listed sets to replace the decorative objects that aren't just static unsalvagable junk with nice and even lore-friendly (not Edgar's brother) content that may well be different in later playthroughs.
  3. That and Persistent Volume Sliders... fixed. (I also like that there's a definite slider for Pip-boy Radio and another for world space radios. Hallelujah!)
  4. This doesn't usually happen unless you are uninstalling something like VotW or Reverb and Ambience Overhaul as they add sliders to the audio settings. ... hmm, I bet something disrupted my RAO. I'll try reinstalling it.
  5. I have been consolidating mods into merged sets, none of them involving my RAO or LOST Audio tweaks. Somehow, the audio settings crash has returned despite my having regretfully removed VotW months ago.
  6. Personally, I'd have it as an either or... Instead of going slower when you run out of Core juice, you keep on trucking but burn Stamina (and with worse penalties the more damaged the PA is), but don't use Stamina if the core's got charge.
  7. I'd love the "Bob's Country Bunker" model with various skins, tuneable, but with an option to load in an audio holotape. Of course, I want to make those silly glowing televisions with nothing to broadcast tunable so they at least play music, so that's just me, I reckon.
  8. Why only one Super Mutant and no girls? ...it was cheaper. This was "It Just Barely Works" Bethy at its so-called best, the same folks that used the Oblivion Potato People model for asexual children in Skyrim. Just expect it, already. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The answer to any question starting, "Why don't they--?" is almost always, "Money." - Robert Anson Heinlein, in The Notebooks of Lazarus Long
  9. It isn't. It SHOULD be used for all manner of common objects like Notes, Publick Occurrances, and the like but, like bricks, paper is referenced in the game but not actually in the game. "There was a hole in the outer wall that was plugged by a bookcase. ONE BOOKCASE. That's it. I started the paper as an act of desperation more than anything else." - Piper Wright If asked about that, she goes on to explain that the hole was fixed with bricks and real mortar. Not that you'll see any barring mods!
  10. Well, this went off topic fast! The urge to yeet Marcy from a great heig notwithstanding, this is about things that make no sense. The lack of paper when you scrap newspapers, for instance, or hpw there are no actual bloatfly larva in the game despite Bloatflies and Syringers using them as ammunition. Dr. Penske being the one to need Fusion corse despite the De Luca siblings being in charge of reactor maintenence. Like that. (I chose those specific examples as they've yet to be modded. Preston's silliness is much reduced by Who's The General while the Thuggyverse settles the hash of the other factions. Despite the masively great Syringer Overhaul, the lack of bloatfly larva persists, I feel like I was kicked in the groin when I'm trying to get into 81 the first time, and Bethesda seems to not understand how salvage, industry, or capitalism in general work.)
  11. The Notice Board series adds quests for depositing various goods for XP to suitable recipients (nuclear blood for Dr. Sun at Diamond City, old newspapers for Piper to clean and re-usein her own publication, and the like), and your own Goodneighbor mod for Daisy's Library falls into this same category, Zorkaz. There's mods for Calvin to buy more types of tools, and I have personally suggested similar expansions for that sort of thing for other Vault 81 buyers like Dr. Penske, come to that. (Incidentally, why does Dr. Penske even need Fusion Cores? I can see the De Lucas and Ol' Rusty needing some as part of reactor maintenance, but I digress...) A massive increase in caps (city-funded) for a certain crazed 24/7 buyer/seller is a good idea, her entire shtick is buying all the scrap and extra stuff people bring in and making it all available to Diamond City residents. A couple of sewing machines at Fallon's Basement for renovating all the tatter curd people could sell, I can see that. Heck, have the waitress at the Dugout Inn buy produce to feed the Bobrov Bros.' still, for the love of...
  12. We need paper as a resource. We have trees. Many of us use Boston Natural Surroundings, A Forest, or the like, so they have LOTS of trees. More of us use Immersive scrapping, assigning sane returns for scrapping things... like trees. Trees give wood, especially for Immersive Scrappers.Wood is pulped in industry. This is used to make paper and paper products like cardboard. NONE of this is cloth. Publick Occurances is not cloth, either. I can understand a lot of paper substitutes during the great Pre-War conflict... there was a lot during World War II. Wood exists, a lot of it. Barring massive deforestation, it's a very renewable resource! Industry's a DLC just about all of us have now. Piper is printing a *(^*&()*&^ing newspaper. Not a newsrag. We. Need. Paper.
  13. Trying to go to udpated instead of date duplished, 80 instead of 20, the text is all white and it DOES NOT CHANGE. It did before the update, the text was right before the update. I don't use adblockers, I don't use VPN, and I DO NOT have an IT department. Also I have Premium. Lifetime premium, as have done since before they ceased to offer it. This. Is. Nexus. And Firefox. And they NEED to come to terms. Firefox is so bad they try to make feedback impossible without saying so.
  14. I know you don't deliberately block service to ad blockers. I don't use ad blockers and I have like the last lifetime membership (Thanks once more to Dr. Ren). None of that changes the fact that browser updates are not allowing us to fully access the Nexus. Brave is that way and so is Firefox. I'm not going to use Edge and Chrome gives me hives. Please work to match the updates. I know it's a pain, but it's needful. Thank you.
  15. I found a huge number of plugins I want to merge... but can't. Creation Club plugins (which I have fair and square) don't even appear on Standalone, it's a shame too as I have about 40 weapon/armor/pip-boy/PA skin mods alone. That's 40 .ba2 files I can reduce to what, 3? Worse, they all have Main and Textures .ba2 files. So that's about 80...
  16. Merge Plugins standalone will work with fo4 these days, but there's a hitch; it doesn't even recognize CashCow plugins. That's a real problem when you want to merge them to get your precious .ba2 slots back.
  17. I considered that. The reason I decided against that approach is the textures thing. The simple fact is that most if not all of the freebie offers of Cash Cow material was texture files, usually of armor pieces and/or weapons. (I don't quite discount the pipboy skins as seperate from armor pieces...) I just have a couple of dogs, the transdogrifier, and the Slocum's Joe as stuff paid for with points. the rest, for 40+ CC picks? Texture files.
  18. Very sensible so it's up to the modders. The gun designers for this game made Pipe Weapons. Need I really say more?
  19. LarannKiar made a combination ba2 file for all the "recruit" mods, saving the user 15+ .ba2 slots. This is a Good Thing. (Install the mods, install the combined file, delete the separate .ba2 files. Then it's just keeping everything updated and any further .ba2 files deleted...) It occurs that all those faction skins for armors, dog breeds, and other small mods from the Cash Cow take up a bunch of .ba2 files. If someone were to make combined theme .ba2 files, users could then ditch something like 30 or more .ba2 clutters!
  20. Even if you never use Videos of the Wasteland, you've probably seen a settler looking at the snow-filled televisions in your settlements. Recently I came to the mildly depressing realization that the reason IDEK's Logistics Desk wasn't available in Starlight was due to some conflict in the Starlight VotW mod. I'm dealing heavily enough with comics of late as to at least temporarily leave off VotW. This, of course, brings back the issue of what to do with these tvs that settlers watch... snow on. Then I remembered the way the Announcers sounded just as clear as a radio transmission. So, my question is this... if the tvs are still reacting to power, why not tune the things in to radio?
  21. When trying to merge plugins that involve Armor Keywords in the masters list, Merge Plugin Standalone lists its plugin before the DLCs. This makes it impossible to proceed as the actual engine (correctly) notes the DLCs should be over anything that depends on them.
  22. As discussion on finding all the steadily growing number of goodies from Ketaros Treasures has popped up (on a nearly constant basis) someone recommended Loot Detector which would certainly do the job. Just one problem... all those bright colored masks ruin the game experience, as was called out by Ketaros himself. We don't like those things on our crafting screens, you know? (I certainly don't, I'm on record as fervently praising the mod to let you actually see the workbench item!) An outline or a radiant glow around the items in question would be much, much less jarring for players. I recommend this for every item-fiding mod out there for pretty much any game, actually.
  23. Interesting challenge, no? If you avoid the Alien Blaster I suspect the Gore-verhaul would actually work as advertised, I was testing to see if the Zetan weapon was overlooked. Ammo would honestly be a step backward. Rapture is, after all, a melee weapon!
  24. It's close, but it's not quite there. The Gore-verhaul is lacking in two small but important details. First off, it does not prevent Alien Blaster dust piles, and other mods do use the dust pile effect. Second, possibly because of the use of Critical Hits Outside Of VATS, it always causes a dust pile effect if your weaponry can cause one at all. Literally every hit. (There, quoted the right message! Sheeeeesh!)
