  1. no. edit: haha I wasn't going to allow myself to be dragged into this, but since when do schools not teach how to balance a checkbook? They did when I was in school and they still do in my local area. It's regularly a math project. Then clearly some of the bankers and politicans need to go back to that school and ppl better come up with a way to control these books instead to sit infront the tv. Doh.
  2. Does school kill creativity? Yes. And im gratefull for that Ted Talk. Far to much bs goin on like you gotta do this and that, when i could have done my own thing long ago, but i kept listening so much to that nonsense even when it did not really make any sense in feeling. And this is like the worse error one can do. Not trusting oneself/being afraid of breaking out. Although not all is bad. Some of the things they teach in schools in the beginning is really basic knowledge and i would say it is good to have this avaible, but later on there really should be more freedom of choice, well and more knowledge be given on in general. For one there is the banking system and/or the media. This complex already has been prooven to be problematic over a hundred years ago and you should see what ppl write from those times. I really wish ppl just would take the banana out of their ears for their own benefit and that of their childrens and that of their childrens childrens. Like what are they gonna do with a radioactive wasteland or oil spills, when you got so much geothermal energy right now below your feet and so much sun power coming in per minute, not to talk about wind or water. And believe it or not there are relatively small windmills, which can condense up to several thousand liters of water per day. With an honest effort ppl having no water and food can be solved now, but surely it wont be by shooting ppl dead in their village with military just to get some land for your palm oil, which ppl then can buy at home to cream their leg with or by robbing the coast of africa of the last fish, to then sell it at home, all funded by tax. Need i say more? Is it wrong to ask for some more consistency instead to have those who succumb to that above(often unknowingly+being under media fire)? Or food, industrial food is so bad, if you eat it daily, you will get ill in the long run and it cost the taxpayer just so much money in the process, but nvm me talking about whats really an issue yeah. Like the aluminium industry putting their waste, which lots of is fluorid, into toothpaste. Remember to not swallow.....
  3. hm, thats weird, if it did not do it before on vanilla, strange as it sounds, there still must be changes left over from mods. i probably would delete everything and try re-installing the game, if starting a new game still does not fix it. and be carefull as you re-apply mods. i wonder if you get to many mods, if nmm even will be able to make a proper backup. like say you install mod A and then mod B, which both overwrite the same files, then mod B has the backup data of mod A and not the original files anymore. so, it might be, that it wont give you the original backup data. not sure if nmm works like that tho. im gonna ask this.
  4. Haha, nice bug, but no worries. I just found out, there is a version of TES5Snip on Nexus here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5064 You can edit your .esp with that and keep the good stuff, which will hopefully fix it for you. Edit: Oh wait, seems it saves stuff with an older header version then skyrim uses. "Arthmoor 0 reputation 293 kudos 2591 posts Just an FYI: TESVSnip is saving files with a 0.85 version header. Skyrim only uses version 0.94. 0.85 was only valid for the Fallout games. " -------------- My tip is to wait, dont get to invested and if you start a new mod, be really carefull with edits; but even then stuff could creep in randomly, which is why these tools i mentioned before are so importent to have. They really help getting things straightened out. In oblivion, morrorwind, fallout 3 aswell as new vegas, everybody uses these tools. It is basicly standard. Why? Because again like i said, stuff can creep in randomly via the softare(ck), which otherwise you got no control over. Personally im gonna wait until these tools are up to date for skyrim.
  5. it is always good to check what the mods do, that you got installed and keep backups. so basicly roll back one by one and see if it fixes your problem.
  6. well here is a thing you can do. open your mods .esp in the ck and simply make a new cell, then copy/paste everything into it, that you want to keep, which you know is not buggy (like architecture and clutter). then save it under a new name (just to be sure) and open it in skyedit to delete any and all records except the new cell. voila, clean mod. if it does not work, i have no other idea atm. of course you also could delete stuff inside the ck without using skyedit or a similar third partie software, but that would probably still leave your mod with dirty edits.
  7. have you tried to clean the .esp of the mod of unwanted records with skyedit? i dont know how well the tools are developed yet for skyrim, but it should be quite straight forward. try it sometime. im sure you will manage. good luck! http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes5Mod:SkyEdit/Getting_Started
  8. Yup, feels like the story and characters somehow fell abit short.
  9. where do you want the city to be?
  10. Hi, Anyone know of good companion mods, that already come with the custom files they need in a seperate folder? Kinda like Kelsey for FNV or FO3. All the companion mods i found for skyrim so far, require you to download x amount of additional mods to make it look like in the screenshot and then you sacrifice your vanilla setup. Unless you get in the ck of course, but i dont have time for that. Oh yeah and it should be compatible with UFO. Thanks.
  11. Thanks, this properly will be a good step forward.
  12. Hi, since skyrim we have so much new people, some of which are already doin great, great stuff with the mod kit, but there are also many, who seem not really that experienced, hyping up all these mods, which more seasoned ppl just cannot find anything new in(seen thousand times before, made better in oblivion), cluttering up the search and it makes me feel like i somehow need a better way to distinguish between those. So i was thinking, how about a way of blocking ppls content from my view? For example i would like a way to filter out asian jailbait dollies, which look like sexualised version of a child and other cartoonish looking characters, which dont fit into the general lore of skyrim and if they dont tag it, i dont want to have it to literally mess up what interests me on the nexus, having to wade through all that stuff. Love the nexus through and through and how much you folks hang in there, kudos to you all and my eternal thanks, but this and other examples are kinda what keeps me from visiting the site more often.
  13. Boring? Yeah, kinda. I have not even played through the whole story yet. Most of the time i just find myself browsing mods. So atm i am not really playing it at all. The only character i played was a warrior up into the 40s, was it? I dont even know anymore. ( ) Oh and i tried some diffrent combination of characters, too, but overall they all did not make it past level 5. Suppose it is a classical oversaturation effect from morrorwind and oblivion. Hopefully Bethesda will show themselfs more innovative with the dlc's coming out.
  14. To pay extra for a dlc only to get the ending right is messed up, but nice goin still. At first i did not notice it was all playing out in your head (even tho in review it seems quite obvious).
  15. The end is definitely a battle happening in shepards mind. No doubt about it here.
  16. Great addition to the site! ^^
  17. Awesome, i already have been wondering whats goin on. Good news. Thanks for keeping the site up to date.
  18. There are not many pose packs for fallout 3/nv. It should be quite easy to find if you look for categories.
  19. STO could hook you for a short while. It is indeed well made for what it is. Better then most free to play games. Plus have you tried Homeworld yet? Altho it is RTS.
  20. Cool, i really like the style. Very immersive. Go, go devs!
  21. Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart or The Lost Vikings. These are real oldies for me on the Super Nintendo. Leisure Suit Larry and TD3 (i think it was) were among the first i played on the computer of my friends dad. Funny as hell. Altho it was not always easy getting to play Larry, because it had build in security questions to keep kids away aka who was president of the usa during period xyz, which of course did not stop us all, but mind you back then there was no internet, no google, so we actually had to help us with books. Yep. :P
