I dunno about racemenu bugs but do this guide a few times(link at bottom), in fact keep doing it over and over until you can do it in a few hours from start to finish. It will set you up real good, and keep you from the help forums in the future. Take your time, first time will probably take a week, and your game will crash immediately, but it will get better, and it pretty much covers all user aspects of modding. Only use the [core] mods the first few times. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12562 I know the guide says to use MO2, but it is doable in both Nmm and the one i prefer, Vortex. And kudos to the creators of that guide btw.

the snow shader is really buggy sometimes, i could be that. Using beth-ini>Details>snow> turn stuff different options and go see if it has any effect in-game.

Good. Then you need to take a few hours and watch some videos. Search in youtube for 'how to' use the tools, explaining them in simple terms is impossible. You need to look into 'how to make a mesh' and convert it to nif. Tools used for this is called blender, nifscope and outfitstudio. Then you need to learn how to use Gimp to make a texture, and plug-ins for gimp that allows you to convert into the files you need (you need different "maps" (layers) depending on what game and what item you are making. You have a bit of learning ahead of you. All these programs are free and reliable and you gonna need them at some point: Nifscope. Blender+plugins. Gimp+Plugins NifOptimizer. BAE (bethesda archive extractor) Creation Kit. SSEEdit ( for putting it in game, you can use the creation kit for this also). And probably a few other i'm forgetting, but you are bound to run into those if you watch videos on the above topics. I realize it is a lot, but no worries, one step at the time, and you're gonna be fine. And do yourself a favor and start this topic in the correct category found at the bottom of the page under "Skyrim Special Edition Creation Kit and Modders" found at the bottom of the skyrimse forum, you are about to invoke the wrath of the local sourpusses.

Go into steam, rightclick on skyrim,> properties>local files>verify integrity. That should solve most of your problems, after you go into the knowledge base found in the left side of vortex and figure out the rest of your issues, if there is any. Edit. You need to go to steam and verify because it seems like you somehow have lost an important file.(Skyrim-interface.bsa) And without that none of the other issues will gets solved.

What of the basic programs are you familiar with? Nifscope, outfit-studio, blender, gimp ect? (they are all free in some form or another) Are you familiar with the different file-types and what opens with what? .bsa .nif .zip and so on? Do you intend to re-skin/re-mesh something already existing?, or are you going to build it from the ground up? Very simply put: First you need a mesh. (Nifscope, blender, outfitstudio ect.) Then some textures. (Gimp, Creation kit ect.) Worry about putting it in-game when time comes. ( Creation kit, Tesedit wrye bash ect.) You need to look into these individual things to make a decision.

The anti-natalist in me is intrigued. Why bother? There is only one end to this, cold vast space and the journey is filled with pain, goodbyes and sorrow. At some point everything has drifted so much apart that no light from other stars can reach us, and then we are truly alone. Everything ends in an literally hell when our sun eventually dies 200 million years after humans do. Don't try too hard. The dad/boyfriend in me would not dare to tell a woman what to do with her body and subsequently her life for the next 18 years.

The page for racemenu seems pretty self-explanatory. You have skse64 installed correctly, and installed this through a manager, preferably vortex? Also, be aware that it has a temporary bug that is fixed by going to Data/SKSE/Plugins/skee64.ini and change: bEnableFaceOverlays=1 to bEnableFaceOverlays=0

Still like him better than Hilary. At least with Hillary we would have a somewhat idea of what direction things was going. But I actually don't care, America was a bully long before Trump, and will be bullies long after, and side with them, just a question if SA , NK ,China or Russia. Same goes for Britain, Germany, France, and a few other European countries, they are, if nothing else, opportunistic turncoats. America has not fought a justified war since the Japanese dragged them into ww2 kicking and screaming, and have f***ed over impoverished peasants ever since to attain dominance, and dragged my simpleton government into it. So yeah, i'm pretty much done with any of them. They are bullies, and i hate bullies. Edit. I'm talking about the vampires you vote into power and not you as an individual.

You deserve him a second term for electing him in the first place. Enjoy.

I have only been with you since Oblivion, and that was bugged, so was Fallout3, Fallout NV, Skyrim,Fallout4,Skyrim se and Fallout76, maybe Tes 6 will also be a cluster of misery? I also have a nagging feeling that Tes 6 will not include a creation kit or modable folders as we know em. This will be something you buy into, and every piece of user created content will only be available on their steam equivalent. I hate being a doomsayer, but we have yet to see a single player tes release in this new post sanity climate. And the last few years has shown us that the industry is willing to circumvent and break the law, if not outright start campaigns to make people go against their government in the name of unbridled capitalism, f*#@ing over a few modders for that extra peanuts seem well within reason put in that light. And i actually gave up on the industry a while ago, now i just assume the worst.

Has there yet been made an automated process for Sse to replace textures in the original bsa? Like described in step 1> my 'WorkBase' of this guide. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23556?tab=description

That behaviour usually goes away once you have sat down with the Ck, or even just tried to make heads and tails of the mess in /data. There is no room for hubris when it comes to the Creation/GameBryo engine. You can do everything right as a modder and somehow everything still burns to the ground. Once you start playing with more than 5-10 mods you probably have had your last complete playthrough , and most don't realize this. Others embrace the suck and fiddeling with files becomes the main purpose. Just my somewhat related thoughts on that.

Problem is that it pulls this stunt no matter how many mods i have active, 1 or 150 it makes no differences, as soon as i plug-in something related to vanilla meshes it begins, pre-combine patched or not. I have no lag issues spawning in 50-75 settlers, synths and minutemen, using better settlers, minutemen and synth overhauls, until they start shooting anyways. I have literally tried solving this problem for about 250 hours now. Not figuratively but literally. I have tried everything down to a fresh windows install and fiddeling in the bios. My theory is that this is the way the engine gets in the last 'f*** you' But thanks anyways, having provided the solution or not, you are still helping by forcing me to go over the process in writing, and eliminate options.

Using FOedit, removing a weapon from the chem bench. In the patch you make,Is it enough to place a nullref in your bnam and fnam (constructible object) instead of a keyword, and be on your marry way? It works in-game, but i'm sure i missed something. Also, when you make new category keywords for the chembench in a patch, and rebind stuff to them, what happens to the stuffs old keywords? Are they still loaded somehow? Are you supposed to purge them from all files completely? I guess there would be no point in me tying to clean up stuff if i'm just adding. Thanks.

Things that modify existing meshes is the culprit in my game. Just mesh mods that modify existing meshes, like repair houses, open them up, fix broken things like bridges. Mods that add on top of those mods do not set that micro-stutter off. And all of this persist even though the pre-comb is rebuild and patched. I don't go near bUseCombinedObjects=. Meshes show up fine, but introduces a twerk in the frames every 3 seconds. Not massive stutter or lag, just that little annoying jit. Was not the controller issue either in my end, but you could start by trying that, turn it off along with vibrate.
-
You did not provide much info in the initial post, so it is pretty much impossible to help you. Are we just supposed to guess what version numbers you are running, in what order, and up against what? A plethora of things could have gone wrong, and besides us getting access to your file structure it is just a guessing game until something sticks. Even if you provided all the info it would probably still be a problem. The people that has this locked down 100% do not have the time nor patience to roam these forums and answer the same question the millionth time, so you have to make do with retards like me and others that are still in the process of learning.
-
I narrowed it down to being mesh related, everything shows up fine in game, but the micro stutter persist, and not that micro stutter that comes from disabling pre-combines, because everything in that regard is patched and rebuild by respective authors. No 'busecombinedobjects=' anywhere near my ini. From major meshes as roofs in sanctuary and castle walls, to minor things like a fixed awning on Red Rocket. It makes no difference. Just that tiny stutter every 3 second, like it skips a frame, but i doesn't according to my system monitors. I tried loading stuff up in the creation kit and save it again, but little it helped. At this point i simply dunno what to do, so i'm gonna give it a break. Feel free to necrobump this if you have similar issues or a solution. Not an issue in Skyrim btw.

How to get texture mods (Armor and Weapons) to appear?
Arneercool replied to KabaneriMike's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
You start here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgUbpIzdpGY. Then go onto this to lean the basics https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3886575-fallout-4-beginners-guide/ You take what you learn there and apply it here along with some common sense. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23556 I hope this helps. -
I'm stumped. I was sure that would flush out the problem. If a complete reinstall and a purge doesn't help then maybe the issue is outside the game, gtx drivers maybe? I'm guessing at this point. Have you tried deleting everything? And i mean everything except windows and steam itself, and do a complete reinstall of all tools, tweaks and main game? If i was stuck at this point, i would be furious, and nothing more than a complete purge of windows would do.
-
No, you are not alone, It would be awesome, but probably also a nightmare to program and script, or even beyond the engine to do stuff like fading when walking under things. I also suspect isometric games in many cases are in 'one plane' but made to look like you can use stairs and have difference in heights and so on, i don't know if the 3d modeled world of fallout4 would handle that very well. Like, how would aiming work? And how would aiming work if there was a height difference? I won't say it is impossible, because someone is probably gonna prove me wrong, but a monumental task at least. You can get something like it by setting the third person view really far, but it does not convey the isometric feel.

Works perfectly fine under the right circumstances, and it recently got updated(28 June 2018). I see no reason to worry. If it is not working as intended right now it is probably because bethesda pushed a patch.

F4SE not working with Runtime 1.10.106.0
Arneercool replied to Deleted50127451User's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
They will make a new one, but it usually takes a few days. This will happen every time Bethesda pushes a new update, so take that time to go over the options you have as to avoid this happening again. But you should start by turning off auto updates in steam and only launch the game from the f4se. There is also a few ways to rollback fallout to fit f4se, but i can't help you with that in detail. -
Need help with relic space marine daemon hammer
Arneercool replied to qwjr8989's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
If you lean the basics of foedit it should be a breeze adding it as a permanent effect, i think. There is also the possibility of adding it directly in-game via console, i have not tried this. https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/3sp58m/guide_how_to_create_your_own_legendary_items_with/ In console, type 'help relic 4'. That should give you a list, pgup and pgdown until you find something named hammer with the prefix "Weap". That is the id you will be working from. -
You probably have something weird going on in your ini. 1. Remove all 3 of them from their location in Documents>mygames>fallout. 2. Verify your game in steam. 3. Where you just found your .ini in the first place, there are now only 2. Fallout4.ini and fallout4prefs.ini. 4. Copy one of them and rename the new one fallout4costum.ini 5. Delete everything inside the new copy, and put in these lines: [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS/ [Display] iLocationX=0 iLocation Y=0 6. Open nexus mod manager and in the tool section in the top, choose 'Purge all unmanaged files.' That should solve carryovers , and you can begin anew. Actually, only do this if you intend to re-install all mods and start over, as i can not promise that a savegame or mod will continue to work as intended, but it will probably give you a clean sheet and solve this issue.

I tried uninstalling everything, yet again, and this time i tried with 'do your damn job cosworth'+ patch and 'Castle walls' one at a time, and the lag was there like a mean debt collector. My monitor is not picking up any throttle, bottleneck or fps drops. Just that inane .. not stutter, not lag, it is it's own thing entirely, and only present with these kind of mods. Every third second or so it just has this tiny hickup. I have no fraps or overlays running, besides the steam fps one, the rest of my monitoring is done elsewhere, and disabling that helped nothing. Thank you very much for indulging me. It is getting frustrating, not because i wanna play the game, i gave up on doing that a long time ago, but because it makes no sense. This modlist has been 3000 hours in the making, and this "stutter" is one of the last enigmas i have yet to solve.
