  1. yea the wyre bash leaning curves pretty damn steep, and the only simple guide to use it doesnt explain squat to me, allways hated the bash, and last time i used it on a heavy moded oblivion the game constantly crashed no matter how many times i rebuilt the patch and the whole thing of it taking 5+ minutes every time installing/uninstalling a mod is just wired isnt the main point of wyre bash to just let you use more than 255 mod? Is there really any point for people with limited understanding/patience to go thru all that hell if theyre not close to it, and what about using Tes4Edit instead? also who else uses NMM archive invalidation instead of OBMM or Wyre bash
  2. wired how every google link for oblivion face exchange goes to "face exchange lite" when the newer program ive used for years "facegen exchange" works fine with Vista/W7 but you need to download it from http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/4094 Its multi platform working with Oblivion FO3 and FONV
  3. you dont need to change the ini keymapped numbers, just add new funtions to the xpadder profile with "set selector" for the different combos.
  4. killjoy much! people are always gonna mock laptops for gaming, and people still buy them for gaming oblivious to it so've you been testing the problem on an unmoded game? cant really tell from your description. You can get errors like that with corrupted savegames after uninstalling mods or archive invalidation or load order issues
  5. whats awful about it? and as far as ive seen its stable, ive been playing on a lighly moded Oblivion (no total conversion mods) and havent had a single crash. The framerates are also no different to Oblivion eithe All it does is plays Morrowind with Oblivions game mechanics and graphics. The graphics arent actually miles ahead of a well moded Morrowind so you play it more for the mechanics, things like the better combat. Also idk whats meant to be bad about the armor but one of them i dont like are the gaurd suits, they look really stupid, the helms are the worst but the cuirass' look really lame with super shiny surface, ive not done it yet but going to find that file and remove the shine effect to make it not suck so bad. Another alternative to Morroblivion is The Lands of Solstheim Vvardenfell and Mournhold - SoVvM br3 but not exactly sure what quests its got, or the basic premise, need to read the wall of text description, but pretty sure its not a remake of Morrowind the game as in Morroblivion And with the Skyrim conversion, modders are working on a Morr-oblivi-skyrim think its called, using Skyrims engine with Morrowind and Oblivon quests/story, but it wont be playable for a while, youd have to ask on the Morroblivion forums to find out the general eta, but id guess a year at least for a stable release
  6. you should ask this on the Morroblivion forum site, theres legal reasons its not supported by Bethesda (a problem at Bethesdas end, not the mod itself) and Nexus has also agreed not to host or support it, so you wont get much help discussing here the general advice about playing the mod over Morrowind itself or Morrowind with MGSO upgrade is youd probably like Morroblivion more if your used to Oblivion, but if comfortable with the basic Morrowind mechanics might prefer the MGSO or other mod upgrades. Personally i cant play Morrowind, the mechanics are0too different to get comfortable with but allways liked Oblivions setup, so Morroblivions perfect for me.

  8. whats the issue? if you need to map pc controls to the xbox controller get one of the remapping programs (like xpadder) and disable controller support in the ini, its the only way to add extra funtionality
  9. lol so someone posted in some thread, mabye 5 pages long, and whats the terrible part? you can still download it from beta nexusmods but need to use NMM to download it, the direct links seem deactived. The file extensions the same as the original file page from the regular site. Dont ask me what the distinction is, but all the files are there and confirm they do all download. Note the ElsweyrLandscapeLOD files are included in the main file allready Strikers link to that thread where she asked to be banned, if you look at her previous post that explains everything: she doesnt have Oblivion installed anymore, so mabye just not comfortable offering the mod knowing she wont provide any further support for technical issues, or like that people ask it its gonna be updated
  10. ive heard somany people say the Skyrim lockpicking is better, i didnt like it, much prefer Oblivions version, but its goto be said, Skyrims lockpicking is actually Fallout3's lockpicking, its not like they created something new there. btw Brittany the off center camera in Skyrim can be centered by putting this into the skyrim.ini [Camera] fOverShoulderAddY=0.0000 fOverShoulderPosZ=0.0000 fOverShoulderPosX=0.0000 then when your ingame draw and sheath your weapon, it doesnt center till youve done that also i totally agree with the archery, In Skyrim arrows have no distance, and seem to have a major random factor whether they hit the target or not even when up close. In Oblvion it allways just works, if you can see it and compensate the right tragetory will allways hit the target, makes using bows even from the start feasable, its unusable in Skyrim till at the start and barely much better with some skills and agree about the horse riding, but allways liked Oblivions speed spells and water walking spells, would enchant my horses to ride down the niben valley that way. But at least in Skyrim theres the mod 'horse fast dismount' that works really well pretty fun dismounting mid gallop agree about the finishing moves in skyrim, think this is pretty annoying in alotof games, but in Skyrim was really disappointed to see my lvl1 character constantly using them and using them in the first or second hit, even just approaching an enemy and lightly tapping attack, bizarre
  11. vanilla Skyrim has much better looking NPCs but the worst sounding voice acting/accents ive ever heard in a video game vanilla Oblivion has horrible looking NPCs and ive never found a mod to even scratch the surface to remedy it vanilla Skyrim removes too many RPG elements vanilla Oblivion combat feels clunky and the only mod to remedy it (Deadly Reflex) was way too complicated for me last i looked vanilla Skyrim feels a lot less mysterious/wonderous with so many open spaces (and has pretty terrible distant lod gen where its really common to see the 'Skybox') I really didnt like that they removed the Oblivion plane from Skyrim and replaced it with Dragons (flying rats), and the whole Dragon shout thing seems pointless (tho ive not played much of Skyrim so cant really make a final judgment)

  13. hey ive bit off more than i could chew in the first battle at that nearby cave. i know i just need to sleep or get more magicka to use the restore health spell but havent a clue what will restore magicka from the items available around that port village Morrowind starts. Lol cant even think of the name can someone point out where you can hire a bed or find/buy restoration potions
  14. if you watch the says you only need the Bloodmoon patch cause its accumulative so maybe if you didnt install that last it downgraded it. I use the Steam version so only guessing but assume youll tell when its patched the Morrowind.exe will say 1.6.0.1820
  15. man i hate the persistent crashes, i never had any till reciently, hadnt really explored much, and only found two, ones just outside Solitude but theres also several random ctd trying to explore the docks area; the others just near Riverwood. I can live with the one near Riverwood, but outside Solitudes game breaking, I cant travel out of there. The path leading out (where the horse and carrage is) has the persistent crash, trying to travel around it going down thru the docks/marshes causes random ctd at different spots, so the whole zones unexplorable. Im simply gonna restart the game without mods to try and explore Solitude before remodding, dragging my feet...
  16. ProjectVRD, according to this its the "Enhance application settings" option in ccc. mine doesnt have that option by your card probably does
  17. ive no clue how those are loaded, dont think theyre static texture files but guess thats logical being animations but dont know where theyre stored, also dont know if you could replace them with static images either
  18. oh right that mod, yea leather looks good, Ive tried to remove the Oblivion logo cleanly to test it, but didnt work perfectly, so need to redo the leather before id call it final but heres what itd look like for Skyrim http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5789/leatherloading.jpg
  19. fms1, whats your idea? I used to use the DarnN menus in Oblivion and never looked back, but what i did was just a static menu image, but if you want that with leather backing dyou have a screenshot of type you liked

Great screenshots, that first ones brilliant, second one looks like its hoping youd increase your AA abit, but assuming thats more a DOF issue; Ive not tried it yet but theres a new mod Standalone SMAA claiming to improve AA at no performance cost if your looking for that sortof thing and have you considered turning your wallpapers into main menu loading screen mod? Its pretty easy to do but image quality takes a hit, so think it helps if theyre not sharp focus images to start with meaning action shots with DOF look better. Made a good one earlier today linked in the comments here Im really pleased with the result
  21. btw Tomoushie, that file name refers to Working Killmove Mod You can allways find a Nexus webpage looking at the first set of numbers after the - dash sign, so cause its "blablabla-4409-1-0" the page extension you look for is id=4409
  22. hey, its with UNP body. So no alpha channel you say, i could try that forsure. the only one that looks like its using dxt3 or dxt5 is the _s.dds but dont know what the msn_dds uses, its an irregular file size 12MB at 2048. Ill fire up that save game with converted textures (minus the alpha) to test your theory. Will update how it goes in abit ok removing the alpha channel doesnt fix it, must be something else
  23. bump i cite ignorance of acceptable bump protocol, is it a day or a week or amonth, ijust dont know the way i figure it, depends how stupid the question is like if i asked a real doozy be glad to wait a week for a dumb answer :D
  24. ok cool, i wouldnt hold it against you confusing left and right, i was dislexic uptil my twenties :) btw two mods worth trying on a new game are Alternate Start and Skyrim Face Transfer. Havent tried Alternate start yet but sounds good
