  1. Yes. These are all things I have already considered. But it doesn't make sense that Nexus would add this Permissions and Credits thing to all mods and then default them all to the red "absolutely not" settings like that, expecting authors to revisit their long forgotten mods and change them.. (Well, it's actually quite stupid to have done that without anything in the FAQ about it.) Meanwhile, they tell everyone that they are not allowed to use/edit/convert any mod without the explicit permission to do so. I even read a post about how you can't do anything with a mod if the author requires permission (the orange setting) but then ignores all contact. I also believe that the text trumps those settings, but would like to see the staff address this.
  2. I have already PMed the author and posted on the mod page (Animated Light Switch) with no success. The permissions and credits are all set to red, but in the description page the text says "Free to use as you please, all i ask is that you give credit where credit is due," Does the description statement trump the settings stuff? I would want to include the NIF and my own retexture of it with my own mod. Thx
  3. This applies to me too. And it is domains that have nexusmods.com in them (the entire nexus site for me). Last two nights from 7 PM PST to 1 AM.
  4. I am also using adBlock. If I disable it for all of nexus, how does this help them make more money? I thought they only make income when a user clicks an ad. Does just letting them show make them money? Thanks.
  5. The old site is not redirecting. After getting 404 errors (server not found) for several hours, I went to google to find news about why tes nexus is down (did they go bankrupt or are having a serious network problem). I did a search for TESNEXUS, got a 404 on the first link, clicked the 2nd link (Skyrim Nexus - Skyrim Mods and community), and from there found the Oblivion site. Non of my numerous saved links to Oblivion mods and the main categories page work. The point of this post is that it is not easy to find out what happened and find the new site. I stumbled my way to it. You, undoubtedly have left many users dumbfounded as to what to do, as they get 404 errors for all of their links. You should have a page that works for links to the old domain and explains the split and provides links to the new sites. It will take google (et al) some time to update their links. Thanks.
  6. This site has daily problems. Either it becomes unavailable, and I get the "Timed Out" screen, or I get a screen that says the MySQL database is down or there are too many users. Yesterday, I typed a lengthy response to a mod, and lost everything when I clicked SUBMIT and got the MySQL is down message. When Skyrim is released, the traffic will explode. I am concerned that this site will not be able to handle it and will have massive problems. Is anything being done to improve this? Thanks.
