  1. This is a bug I ran into, and still had not been able to figure out what may be causeing this bug. Basicly Lydia's default bow is a hunting bow, and everytime I give her a better bow, Like an ebony one or Deadra one she will show that the better bow is equipped in her inventory, but yet the skin of the bow is still the default hunting bow. Not sure how to fix this bug. Any suggestions?
  2. Here is something you can try too. When done it reconmends what you need, and I think if your drivers need updated you can get them through this: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ Don't worry it does not add stuff like maleware, etc. It will scan your PC of what you have, and compares it with official game data that developers put out. It is free, and it tells you what you need to upgrade to play any PC game on minimal Specs. Good Luck
  3. I might be your Skyrim NPC Editor. I have the same problems with dark heads, and I noticed it when I installed my Skyrim NPC Editor.
  4. Thank you sir that solved the problem. lol I'm glad I could help XD also if it happens again since you adjust the AA. Next thing I would look into is ventilation. If your computer is running to hot, this could cause the same effect. Just a heads up.
  5. So I came to a conclusion that the TIF.pex files might be from the multi marriage mod. I also did figure out what was causeing the buggy begining. It was AP by JoshZ. I deactivated the mod, until it gets updated. Starting at Helgen went on without a hich. This mod will most likely not get updated anytime soon, since Josh does mention he will not work on the mod anymore, and offered other modders to take what he made, and make it better. I would love to take the reins of the mod, but I just started to get in Blender, and Blender has a very, very steep learning curve, especially for someone like me that has NO moding or Scripting Experience at all.
  6. Same with me I have Zero FPS programs running that help boost FPS. My settings where autosetted to Ultra when I first installed Skyrim, so I never downloaded ANY FPS boosting programs.
  7. Confirmed this does happen. Sometimes you get better results when manualy changeing the load orders around in your NMM. I have Sounds of Skyrim, and BOSS stuck it pretty low in my load order and the sounds from the mod did not work(however default sounds did) I then manually placed the mod first in my load order, and the default sounds, and the mod sounds worked perfectly. Ironic how a program is suppose to make things easier for people, and people still have to manually do things to make certain things work correctly. Then what's the point of the program in the first place?
  8. On that note I give you a Kudos. Many times stupid ass Steam prevented me to play the game. Do you start with the SKSE tab in the NMM or, can you do it through the SKSE_ loader file in you Skyrims files list?
  9. This may or may not help you. But it might be the Skyboost causeing the problem. I am no modder, I just am pointing to info that I read about Skyboost or Tesvl. Tesvl works like Skyboost does it increases FPS. But from what I read, the newest patch increased game performance, and Skyboost nor Tesvl where not needed anymore. Could be a hunch. Try uninstalling Skyboost, if you are currently updated with the patches, and see if your outcome has changed. Also if you ~TCL to the Dragonstone. It might had mess something up. The Dragonstone is in Bleak Falls burrow, and when you get in the Burrow, you will get an auto updated quest called the Dragon Claw. That is if you did not get the quest from Riverwood already. When I always started fresh I went straight to Bleak Falls burrow. So when I talk to the quest givers, I all ready had the Dragonstone, and the Golden Claw on person. Before the quest givers even asked me to retreive them.
  10. I have the Skyrim NPC Editor installed I have the Creation kit installed I play Skyrim through Steam and the NMM I usually have to Launch Skyrim through, The NMM in the Launch SKSE tab. This will then sign me into steam on my account( i only have to do this one time when I start up Skyrim for the day, then everything then after between breaks I can run Skyrim just through the NMM). After doing this one time I get the vanilla launcher window. If I click play from here then my SKSE will not work in game. By closeing the launcher and restarting Skyrim through the NMM in the Launch SKSE tab, my SKSE works fine in game, and Steam is hidden in the background. Hmm. The TIF_xxxxxxxx.pex files MIGHT be the multiple Marriage mod. where X looks like character ID's and all the files are placed under this mod. After the last TIF file I have WICourierScript.pex. But it does not make sence to have so many TIF's all seperate like it shows in my files list. I know in this mod you have to collect letters placed all over Skyrim to get clues to what to do next to find this sort of Seduction potion, the letters look like a courier letter, and it has the typical open animation, and written in the same game text script as all bounty letters, contracts, etc do. Will wait for a responce before I delete these loose TIF.pex files.
  11. Same problem here, but It does not happen all the time. I wonder if it might be a sound mod conflicting with the battle music.? I have Sounds of Skyrim mod installed. I just assume this might be the cause of the battle music only working once in awhile for me.
  12. Bump Same problem with me, but not as extreme. I get shout sounds after I use the shout. Best way to describe it. "A sort of Echo" but it does not repeat the whole shout, just the last part of the shout. Example: Fus Roh Dah!.....Rah Da!
  13. You can always do (for windows 7) My dcuments/My games/ Skyrim/ Saves Double click to open the Saves folder, and manually delete some saves you do not need. I do that already. It's the individual files that are getting massive, from the norm of about 16mb each to now over 90mb. Even overwritten a prvious file makes it get larger? If this is the case I would like to find out for myself. I do not want my PC to just barely chug along to run the game just because I am saving often.
  14. If you can find your controller in Control Panel> Hardware and Sound> Devices and Printers, left click to highlight, right click, click on "game controller settings", then click the properties "button" you will be where I was describing earlier to correct it. If you simply choose properties instead of "game controller settings" then properties, you will not have the option, If you did it correctly you should be at the "game controller calibration" tabs. (At least it's like this for my 360 controller). It might be an option for the 360 controller. Right now I can not confirm this since yesterday my logitech decided to stop working(something to do with the wire harness that attaches out from the top of my game controller) I do have 2 wireless 360 controllers, but I can never get them to work at all for my PC even with a secondary program that allows the 360 controllers to work for PC. When my Logitech did work, I just unplugged it, an plugged it back in which stopped the camera drifting affect.
  15. I think you can use ~ Help Frost, and it gives you some info about him. But the info in most cases is not that accurate. I remember doing ~Help Eltry he was bugged for me awhile back, and he did come up with two Id codes. So it is not to accurate to use ~ Help(insert name) but It may give you some info if you try it for Frost.

  17. I get the problem with my Logitech game controller aswell. Best thing to do is unplug it, and plugit back in. This usually fixes it.
  18. I too am trying to figure this one out, I made a post of almost the same problem I am getting in here. My character walks on his own to the chopping block before the RedHead Nord goes, but I do not get a crash, I get a game lock out, and can not Ctrl/Alt/Delete out of it. The Commenter ask me to post my MQ101's Scripts Hopefully they can come up with a solution.
  19. I thought mods are not suppose to be able to screw around with Original File folders? I mean in most cases the new mod is impossible to mess up original files. If they can then there would not be mods in the first place. People will not use mods, fearing they will break their games, or worse their computers. Actually a mod may change any number of things depending on what it's "supposed" to change and how the mod author saw fit to change it, meaning it may be possible to get a end result in a number of ways, anyways this is simply known as a "mod conflict" and can happen for a number of reasons even when it shouldn't. Even Beth. can have this happen, as in when they fix something it may break something else. Using mods you will come across this many times the more and complicated ones you use. You will simply have to use your troubleshooting skills and find solutions to solve each issue as they arise. So a worse case scenario is if the mod that can not be pinpointed that is causeing a problem with the game. Is to uninstall all mods first then Reinstall the game after? But can we not just deactivate all of our mods, and see if the problem with the game is still present? Or we have to uninstall EVERYTHING and Reinstall?
  20. Note this is the list compilation under the source folder, not in the source folder. Well in my Data/Scripts I have 150 TIF_(some 8 digit random combo of numbers and letters).pex. Example: TIF_003XX5X9.pex. Where X's = letters upper and lower case, and some random names of mods an pieces of mods. I am not sure if I really need all these TIF files under the Source folder. I dunno it looks a bit to many. Someone enligthen me please. What is TIF, and pex? What do they mean? What do they do? Maybe I do need all of these TIF files. It almost looks like item codes, but Item codes that have to be animated in game. Example: a Courrier letter. Which has to be animated to open it to read it. I do have some MQ101's I found this by double clicking the Source folder as stated above. these are the MQ101's: MQ101's.psc's in alphabetical order: AlduinScript, BearScript, CartRiderScript, DragonAttackQuestScript, EnemyScript, FriendScript, HelgenRoomCommentaryScript, InsideHelgenSetStageScript, KeepDoorScript, LeverScript, LockedCageScript, LokirScript, PlayerScript, QuestScript, SetStage270Script, StartingCellLoadRegisterScript, VoicePushEffectScript. These are all those MQ101's I see. I dunno, but to me it looks like I may be missing a Script or two between VoicePushEffectScript to LokirScript?

  23. I dunno, It might be obvious. Start a new character. But first deactivate all your mods first before you start a new character. See if it helps, and then when you finish the part with the Greybeards, Re-activate your mods.
  24. Bump I would like to know this aswell. Seems that Stupid ass steam is preventing a fresh re- install.
  25. I decided to make a New character, and what happens is. When I am on the pick race menu. Regardless of the races they all are constantly walking in place, and I can not stop it, do to it being all cinematic-esque. After I create the name, my character auto walks, and I can not stop the auto walking. My character eventually stops when he/she is at the chopping block, but since my character is stuck at the chopping block and I can not Ctrl/Alt/Delete out of the game, My character is in the way of the one Stormcloak. that says; "Get on with it" that is suppose to go first on the chopping block, so the game is locked out until the cinimatics can advance until it is my turn on the block. Basicly when I am done with the race and name of my character it auto walks like it is set on waypoints, and I can do nothing to stop it, It stops automaticly at the chopping block, and I can not Ctrl/Alt/Delete out of it. This is preventing the red head Stormcloak that is suppose to go first on the block, preventing the scene to advance, preventing me to start a new game. Since the whole begining of Skyrim is cinimatic-esque scenes. For the record: The last Race I did was a Dwemer Race, which worked fine. I got it from a mod. Which I uninstalled so I can make a fresh character to test another mod, but it has to be on a new game for the mod to work, and I can not get past the first scene to make a new character.
