swords with assassin blade can only deal 1 strike and with a higher chances to get detected, while bows with deadly aim can deal even 3 times assassin blade damage because the chance to get detected is low, so I'm sticking with bow. :biggrin: and shooting is not wonky, I prefer skyrim system than oblivion, because like Daenlin said "there is no arrow that flies forever", and the curving shot makes the gravitation effect more realistic :thumbsup:

true, they can deliver two handed damage two times from distance :thumbsup: Add to that the crit and the 3x sneak damage. I actually hit off my enemies one by one as I laugh in my chair looking at them trying to find me. but what bows lack is when you kill someone on the edge of cliff, they got fly soo far and I have to ethereal shout just to catch him, even it's work to dragons if you got high archery skill :tongue:

Just to add onto your idea for fast smithing xp: Hitting the mines for iron ore is a good idea as well. Spam-smith iron daggers as they only take 1 iron ingot (1 ore) and 1 piece of leather strip. Iron is extremely plentiful and dirt cheap from vendors as well. Go into a mine inhabited by bandits in Whiterun or near Riverwood and clear it, walk out with 25- 40+ iron ore each. Adding on to my adding on... I've been playing around and found a good way to farm conjuration and alteration! When I play, I fight my way through a dungeon, saving looting for last. After I'm done, I now have a dungeon full of dead bodies. I dual cast oakskin/raise zombie at a body. Once it rises, I hit it with flame or whatever. After a certain amount of damage, the zombie turns against me the same way that follower npc's do. This triggers the combat requirement for skill xp. Taking down your own zombies gives you conjuration, alteration and whatever you used to kill it xp! Restoration works too if you do turn undead

my warrior char going to Yngvild barrow, and met Draugr Scourge Deathlord, we gotten into good fight, and we Fus Ro dah at the same time, we both fly too far until I can hide again and kill him again and also when fight the Gauldurson ( the archer ), when he was going to disappear, I give him Fus Ro Dah, he surely fly, but when he appears, he still lying down and never get up, so he's like a easy prey to me. :biggrin:

if you're on pc, console to remove his/her armor forcily, then give your armor. :biggrin:

maybe he got too many AI script, so he didn't reacting, since he's named NPC try to get yourself into vampire, and go to his lair before "a laid to rest" quest, then see his reaction :whistling:

I got three too, but I think my Khajiit monk is the best Name : Ahnaza Gender : male Skill : 100 sneak full perk, archery 85, light armor 80, heavy armor 40, lockpicking 100, pickpocket 60, smithing 100, enchanting 100 mid perk full, one handed 75. the heavy armor use for the fist of steel. :biggrin:

hehe, nice Battlemage, my argonian is a battlemage too Personally skill that a battlemage should have is: Alteration, those flesh spell are really useful Heavy armor, of course one handed or two handed, this depends on magic u use, and also for maximal blow block, good enough if you prefer combat rather than casting enchanting and smithing, these are the easiest to increase, just need to find a deer, take the hide, and do the rest. restoration, the vital one, if you didn't use alchemy plus those ward are effective illusion, good for retreat when on low hp destruction, for those who prefer casting than combat this is my basic battlemage, since skyrim doesn't same with oblivion which you can cast your magic with your weapon. hehe nice topic. keep it up. :thumbsup:

Minimum magicka? better to put some on archery, because 2 handed can't do ranged attack to someone that unreachable or perhaps illusion for muffe, sneak attack is good if you're barbarian type my char is almost same like you, but no alchemy.
