Do you have v-sync disabled to allow frame rates of above 60 fps? If so that is known to cause havok enabled objects to go nuts when you get close to them. The solution in that case would be to re-enable v-sync.

@ daventry - use the Tracking centre if you want to remove mods from your tracking list.To get there from the Nexus main page hover your mouse over the files tab and you will see a link to the Tracking centre. @ valc - Use the back button to get back to the notification list or open each notification link in a new tab.
-
@ daventry - to track a file go to a mod page you want to track and click on the binocular icon (below the latest version box).Once you have done that you will see a new tab on the front page entitled Tracked Files.

Don't worry even after completing all main quests and faction quests the game does not reach an ending cinematic (ever) - you can play for as long as you want.

Which of the dragon shouts you like and use more ?
OakRain replied to Misakichun's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Back on topic - I tend to use Aura Whisper the most,it's so much better than the other detect spells and detects anything that moves including Dwemer Automata. -
Since it overwrites (Something i didn't think about when I was installing it) wouldn't deleting it lead to the heads not existing? All vanilla textures are safely locked away in Textures.bsa,so you won't loose any thing by deleting textures added by a mod (so long as you also remove any .esp files that use that texture).

I think the first two digits in your codes for Dawnguard items should be "02" - unless you have another .esm loading before Dawnguard - which shouldn't be happening. What results do you get if you type [help "Elder Scroll (Sun)"] into the console?

Llaunch Skyrim, load a save and when loaded hit esc key - Skyrim version (and SKSE version if you have it) will be displayed in the bottom left portion of the menu display.

Apparently Steam has recently been updated to allow users to start in offline mode without having to go online first to set it to offline. Edit - Just tested this a few minutes ago. With an internet connection I logged into Steam (online mode) then exited Steam and pulled my network cable (no wireless network here).I did not select "go offline" before exiting Steam which would previously have been normal practice. Without an internet connection I selected Steam desktop icon to launch Steam, message pops up complaining of no internet connection but with an option to start in offline mode - selected offline mode and Steam launched in offline mode just fine. When replacing network cable and launching Steam again it reverted to online mode.

Dawnguard made use of a lava effect in the Aetherium Forge. Even if you don't want your work dependent on Dawnguard.esm it would still be worth looking at how it was implemented.

[LE] [Workaround] Skyrim Dialogue Bug Fix
OakRain replied to Arthmoor's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
@PROMETHEUS_ts - Tes5Edit (v. 3.0.24) now has the ability to create SEQ files. It's much faster than using the CK and places the created files in Skyrim/Data/SEQ. -
Azura's blessing is from the Temple in the Leveler's Tower - it has a long duration. I think all the blessings in the Leveler's Temple have visual effects to go with them. If you want rid of it fast then use "player.dispellallspells" console command.

Problem with editing values on the Creation kit

@steve40 - I was thinking more in terms of trying to edit persistent references and various other things that get baked into a save game. -
Problem with editing values on the Creation kit
OakRain replied to legir's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
It is a general rule that you cannot use the Creation Kit to modify games in progress. The only sure way to see your changes take effect is to start a new game with the new mod enabled.Or a save that has not met the NPC in question. For broken kill moves and other animation troubles try FNIS.Install using the instructions provided and then run FNISForUsers.exe.Should make everything work properly again. -
The glowing eyes are the Draugr Abilities effect - I have had the same problem before. The easiest way to fix this is by console command; Open console, type: "player.addspell f71d1" ; Drauger Abilities Press enter, close console.Open console again and type: "player.removespell f71d1" ; Drauger Abilities Press enter again and close console.Eyes back to normal.Omit the quotation marks and any thing after the semi colon.

Thanks for the reply - will contact Steam Support.

That load order certainly looks very wrong. Download and install BOSS and then run BOSS - will sort your load order.Follow the Mirror Link to get to the download point.

Does any one know if it is possible to unsubscribe from official content in Steam? If so how? Specifically I do not wish to use the Official HD Tex Pack or rather I do not want to have to download 3GB every time I validate files. On a good day it takes around an hour and a half.As it is I have to DL the patch and paid DLC every time validation occurs having previously used Tes5Edit on them.Steam DLs all files as a single package. I do use a fair amount of the HD Tex Pack but as loose files after unpacking the two BSAs which means I do not have the two .esp files or the two BSAs in my data folder.

You need to update your animation mods - if outdated they will definitely cause the player character to stand on the back of horse. Your best bet would be to download and install FNIS properly then run FNISForUsers.exe.

I noticed a link another forum user posted that lists all magic effects and their IDs; All Spells,All Enchants and all Magic Effects You will need to use the player.addspell and player.removespell commands.
-
You might try clicking on it with the console open and typing disable and hitting enter.Easier if done in first person mode. If you accidentally disable something else (like the floor for example) type enable then enter again. That is definitely the model for the Magic Anomaly 'creature' and not a magic effect unless you have a mod that uses that mesh for some thing else.
-
I was not too happy about the obligatory new window that forms when viewing that site. The first picture shows a Magic Anomaly creature (like the one from College of Winterhold Quest to defend Winterhold - Containment) between the player characters ankles.Very odd - never seen that before. Is not possible to kill the creature?

@Beccy - Might be an idea to check the mod pages of the various mods you have to see if other users have been reporting problems with patch 1.8. If you do not already use it BOSS is highly recommended to get your mod load order sorted for optimal efficiency. Tes5Edit can also be useful even if you just use it to cleanse the official patch and DLC. When starting a new game it is highly advisable not to add any mods until you have been able to exit the tutorial dungeon. Many mods will cause problems if active through the tutorial.

As yet there is no save game cleaning tool - corrupt saves cannot be salvaged. In case anybody has seen not them yet Gopher has made two video tutorials for Tes5Edit; Tes5Edit:Cleaning your mods Tes5Edit:Cleaning your master files
