  1. I'm actually making a mod like this in mind  Basically part of the mod involves adding more faction-specific weapons and armors, especially weapons, for the Brotherhood and Institute, and to a extent the Minutemen and Railroad too. I actually have started making that Institute Syringer Pistol (although it's a weird design so I'm finding it a bit challenging to model), and I've also got a revolver designed for Coursers, and a Institute Plasma Rifle. As well as a machine pistol inspired by Tracer's pistols from Overwatch.
  2. Part of a mod I'm working on that expands the vanilla weapon mods will be a Autocannon barrel for the Minigun. http://i.imgur.com/7cRYssE.png
  3. You're not really going to get people interested in your request if all you're doing is spamming images, unfortunately.
  4. I can take a crack at it, I'm a 3D Modeller working on several things for Fallout 4, including weapons. I think a big chance that will have be done early would be the change of the magazine type. There are reload animations for under-mounted magazines for weapons like the Assault Rifle and the Submachine Gun, but there would severe clipping issues with a tubular magazine, so at the very least the 10mm receiver would need to be redesigned around that limitation. If you want some examples of what I can make, here's a WIP screenshot of a Fusion Rifle model I'm making from a concept art by Martiniman1 (or Bartbliek, his handle on these forums.) http://i.imgur.com/VzAd4yd.png
  5. I have a concept going for a mod that adds a whole bunch of sidequests and expands on a few areas in the game, such as a patriotically themed hotel being run just outside of Bunker Hill where the owner wants the player's help in collecting furniture and doing oddjobs. So something like this could really fit the bill.
  6. Not really too difficult if you're a 3D Modeller. I actually do have a few plans to make a Starlet Sniper outfit for females only, so I could adapt some of that into a Silver Shroud outfit for females as well.
  7. I'm actually working on a massive large scale mod called Sons of Liberty that involves gradually expanding the Minutemen post-main quest into a regional power through a series of connected quest mods, so upgrading the Castle actually is going to be the subject of a few sidequests in it.
  8. I'm doing remakes of outfits and weapons from Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, and one of the outfits I'm remaking is the Enclave Officer armor. So I'll remake the overcoat as well. http://i.imgur.com/0GHXbnM.png
  9. Actually, I think we're pretty set on researching lore for the faction, but thank you for the offer :)
  10. I'm actually experimenting with this at the moment, so I'll release a preview of what I'm working on soonish.
  11. Well, this is a early work preview of the NCR Ranger Patrolman Armor I need to finish the textures and materials on before testing in-game. I'm also doing some concept work for a faction that basically works as the successor to the original Legion, so their outfits will be inspired by them. http://i.imgur.com/CaIneMB.png I'm also doing remakes of the Enclave Officer Outfit http://i.imgur.com/6ulLflq.png And the Chinese Stealth Armor http://i.imgur.com/d5ryESx.png
  12. I think it can be doable. I'm just spitballing here, but you should be able to just find the minigun model for the Vertibird that's used by the player during a flight and then turn that into a object that can be activated by the player or NPCs.
  13. All you need to do is use the subdivide modifer on the model and then apply it. The UV Map should be unaffected.
  14. Dogtooth CG is the guy who actually makes the models, so I'd suggest you get permission from him before doing something like this as well as Unoctium. And as for the whole story aspect, I think it may be better handled if there were only a pair of NCR Rangers that had just arrived in the Commonwealth or something, not entire scouting parties.
  15. The model can be made, but the main issue is that the lever action animations can't be put in until the Creation Kit comes out or a weapon from one of Bethesda's DLCs is a lever action weapon. I think that'll be more likely than someone releasing a lever action animation mod.
  16. I've got a weapon mod in the works that adds a few standalone power armor only weapons.
  17. I'm remaking the Hellfire Power Armor for Fallout 4. I'm just getting some belp troubleshooting it for in-game testing, but my fingers are crossed that it will be ready when the Creation Kit comes out.
  18. Huh, that looks pretty neato. I've got a concept going for a massive rotary energy weapon that's powered by a fusion core, basically a gigantic Fusion Cannon. But anyway, to answer your question, I'd say the best software to learn the very basics of 3D modelling - making the mesh shape itself, UV Mapping, and creating textures - is Blender. Blender is free, requires no license or registration, and has roughly the same capabilities if not moreso in some respects than 3DSMax and possibly Maya, from what I've found. Don't take what I say to mean that Blender is necessarily the best, but I personally think it's suited for beginners because the interface is fairly easy to figure out once you know where everything else, and above all else actual modelling can be done fairly quickly. If you want, I could take a shot at modelling your concept art, and I'll get back to you with the results. In the meantime, the best way to learn Blender is look at tutorial videos on youtube and to just experiment basically. Take your time working things out, and they'll eventually work themselves out soon enough.
  19. Animations for any game can technically be imported into a 3D program and used for something else. They certainly can. The main issue right now is that until the Creation Kit comes out for Fallout 4, we're not going to know whether its possible to add in custom animations like you can add in a new weapon, a new outfit, or a new quest. Skyrim had the issue of ther being no direct way to register custom animations in the Creation Kit until FNIS came out and made that a reality, so if it's the same with Fallout 4, than we'll be waiting a while for custom animations.
  20. What do you need help with? I'm a 3D modeller making some mods for Fallout 4 and helping out on a few big mod projects, so what do you need doing exactly?
  21. If it helps I have a few custom weapon designs such as unique revolvers and snipers for Coursers, as well as weapons for Super Mutants that are intended to fit with the universe. And there's a couple weapons from the other games I'm working on as well.
  22. Custom animations like that won't be possible until the Creation Kit comes out. And even then it remains to be seen if custom animationa can be added without the need for something like FNIS.
  23. The nice way of putting it is that the weapon can definitely, certainly be made, in fact I very much want to put it in-game myself, but it will not have the correct reload animations because none of Fallout 4's rifles use a bullpup reloading system. (the magazine is behind the handle instead of in front of it)
  24. Well, I'm adding in a few weapons from Fallout 3 and New Vegas into Fallout 4. I'm redesigning the models and textures to improve them to a 2016 standard as well as making my own modifications for them, so it's not really a direct port between titles with what I'm doing. http://i.imgur.com/C98O25U.png I'm doing remakes of the Proton Axe and the Super Sledge as well, so when I release those I'll give you a shout in the future.
  25. Here's one I'll be working on when the Creation Kit releases in April.
