  1. lol, you all actually thought it was something? this is just Bethesda's way of getting attention.
  2. Look for the magic mine (called a ruin) on the ground, when you see it hit it with flames and detonate it.
  3. Personally, if you are making a utility mod that just adds miner things it's not all that hard to make it using DLC content, then use TES5 edit to remove all DLC dependent items and have a vanilla version in a few minuts. If you're making a mod like Falksaar or Wyrmstooth, you're better off just using what you need to and have it be dependent on what it needs to be. PS. TES5 edit is awesome and all moders/mod users should have it and use it.
  4. - Do you/have you ever, sometimes, maybe frequently feel the urge to open the console and cheat? Yes I do, but I just go on a rampage and install 100 armor mods F up my Skyrim install then get bored of cheating and go back to playing. (side effects may include constant crashing, full hard drives and overloaded forge menus) - Outside of saying "Just stop cheating", what advice can you give to get over this urge to cheat? Get into moding, forget the consul commands, get back into playing Skyrim, don't look up the consul commands ??? profit. Also getting Hearthfire and meticulously making a house or 3 without cheating can get you into the habit of doing things normally.
  5. Simply put I want to add fire, frost and shock damage as alchemical effects (along with some other vanilla magic effects) on some ingredients for a mod I want to make. So far, I've had no luck trying on my own and I can't find any guides out there, so any help would be appreciated.
  6. No, Immersive Armors just renamed an unused category (I believe there are 2 unused ones 5 if you don't have harthfire).
  7. So far., nobody has been able to make a new crafting category because the number of crafting categories is hard coded into the base game. In short give up.
  8. When you start a new game and it asks you if you want to play the tutorial click cancel. Then chose your difficulty and start playing.
  9. Again, wrong. Totally, absolutely wrong. And i don;t often go so far as to use the W word, prefering terms like "dissagree", but in this case i think Wrong is the most apt term First, the background does not contradict its self. Witht he exception of some information in Arena (which was the product of a generation of 1-off game titles with poorly established worlds) it all remains valid, and has simply been expanded upon. Alduin was first mentioned as the World Eater in Daggerfall, and in Skyrim they expanded upon that established background. Jyggalag likewise was first mentioned in Daggerfall with a role to be expanded upon later. Some seeming contradictions (such as the nature of Talos or the supposed fabrication of the Alessian Dragonbreak) are the results of internal scholarly debate, and are not, in fact, background contradictions but a representation of a living world. They show the depth of dialogue and intelectual progress within the TES universe, rather than being contradictory they show that the universe isn't just a linear, meta-description of a world. Second, if the games were all that mattered, then the Nerevarine would win, hands down, becuase of Morrowind's broken gameplay dynamics. Spellbreaker + Trueflame + Helseth's Signet and you're indestructable. End of discussion. Third, if you are going to totally dissmiss the signifigance of background in a universe, why are you even tryin to get involved in a preodminantly lore based discussion? I smell a troll in ninja's clothing. Okay then, point out one large piece of lore related to the Nerevarine, Dragonborn or coc that is not from the games. The games are the background but as I said it's rather different from game to game so you can only go by the gameplay and as far as gameplay gos (and lore to) the coc defeats the old sheogorath (now Jyggalag) and clams his stuff and from the looks of it his power as well. No where is it shown or stated that the coc mantles with or is absorbed by sheogorath only that he becomes sheogorath/replaces sheogorath. Also, to your indestructible combo from morrowind I have to words for that Mehrunes' Razor (it can kill anything killable in 1 lucky hit no matter it's gear) add in 100% damage reflect (totally doable) and the Nerevarine can lose vary fast. Of course the Dragonborn also has the razor.....
  10. What makes you think they will actually give us a new update? They also said there would be more DLCs, only the first two DLC would be 30 day exclusives and they would keep pumping out more DLCs so long as people where going to buy them. So looking at there past record I highly dought there will be an update past 1.9 or that they will ever fix what 1.9 broke.
  11. Lol, it gos on sale 4 weeks after I buy it.
  12. Okay, so why the hell did you find it necessary to start a new topic simply to say you did not like a mod? It's highly unlikely anyone cares.
  13. Tamira has some Furniture and ovens but no tile sets :( stroti has Castle Wall Resource for Skyrim some Furniture and some small house resources. There's Telvanni Tower Resources incomplete. There's Adabala Building System - Ayleid Transfusion exterior only :( but awesome none the less. That's sadly all I can think of off hand.
  14. I have the same problem only I have the 1.8 version of the game, 250 hp, a lot more mods and my fire storm just sets me on fire no explosion.
  15. My fire Mage kills frost trolls in 2 fire ball hits (duel casting) or 4 normal hits and kill dragons in like 10 hits (duel casting). I have never lost to a Troll/Frost Troll in Skyrim yet, in fact the only times I lost to a troll was back in Oblivion on low level characters or win I got mobbed by 5 of them in a corner of an Alyed ruin. Dragons on the other hand kill me a lot unless I'm playing as an archer gunner.
  16. Someone in the same boat as me. Playing on easy and getting owned horribly. From what I have read the only way to not die is to exploit the roll ability and Spam bombs and the defensive sign like a drug addict.
  17. I thought you where just asking for a way to force animations, sorry I just skimmed your post because it was late .
  18. @positronics NO Skyrim is exactly like Alaska. This is Skyrim, not arena. The lore has changed tremendously over the past 17 years. Whats more the Akavir invaded Tamriel and Tamriel invaded Akavir which is way in the hell harder to do then fallow the shipping lanes from Summerset to Skyrim. The Bretons are part of the empire why would they attack the Thalmor and help the traitor Nords? The UESP uses a willed guess compliantly dependent on all regions having the same population density which they DON'T. So you can throw out that silly chart. Skyrim is mountains and tundra, mountains and tundra don't support large populations simple logic says Skyrim has a rather low population for it's size. Also the empire NEVER sent the bulk of it's army to Skyrim that's why they're recruiting locally and have such poor grade troops. The Empire may be weekend but they have a real trained army with real generals. The Stormclocks have no trained army (there bandits) and ulfric's only commanding skill is getting captured and manipulated. So I would say the Empire stand way in the hell more chance against the Thalmor then the Stormclocks. Skyrim's only hope for peaces and being able to warship Talos (an imperial by the way) again is to end the war and start begin rebuilding there strength for the final battle with the Thalmor.
  19. @mirja The empire would be your best bet. The stormclocks hate elves more then anything so no sane woodelf would join them, the empire on the other hand has always treated all races equally so long as they where lolly. Also the stormclocks are doomed to lose in the end (if they win the empire will get serious and send a real army to destroy them. Or the empire will fall and the Thalmor will come and crush them). The Stormclock bandits alone stand as much chance against the Empire or Thalmor as a snowball dose against hell. @positronics Alaska is the largest stat in America and 4th least populous. Skyrim Is extremely similar to Alaska geographical specking. So I think it's easy to say Skyrim has a vary small population for it's size and is also not a big part of the Empires recruitment pool. Also you said to look at the map and I did Skyrim is about 900 miles from summerset isles by sea that's about 10/12 days for a fast ship 8/9 days with good wind or magic. Skyrim also has 1,000 mils of undefended cost as well as 9 passes into it 3 of which are in Cyrodiil. So invading Skyrim from the summerset isles would be slightly difficult for most but easy for the magic using Thalmor.
  20. The people or Tamriel have magic so they have no pressing need to advance there technology. Just like the Romans had slaves so they never bothered with steam power even tho they know about it. Also they have steel and Iron so they're not in the bronze age but the Iron age.
  21. The black gloves, the brown ones just look out of place.
  22. The Slayers dragon slave should have been in Skyrim from the start. I mean Shabranigdo is basically Mehrunes Dagon so dragon slave would be a perfect fit in Skyrim.
  23. FNIS basically dose what your asking.
  24. I have a question about uploading screen shots with riped content in them. If I carelessly upload a screen shot with riped content in it (ie I had no clue the content was riped) will I get banned on sight or just get a warning? The resin I ask is because, for one, you don't actually say what will happen on the main post. For another I met a user on another forum that said he was given a seven day ban without warning for posting a screen shot with riped content in it. I also know of other users that only got a warning, of course they where popular mod up loaders.
