  1. In the Mage's College we plowed through Nordic burial sites without the slightest regard for respect of the dead. In the Companions we fought a brutal clan for the right to roam as wolves unto the night. In the Thieves Guild we did stole the life of a thief and ushered in a new era. In the Dark Brotherhood we took down an empire. What do we do in the Bard's College? Chase down instruments and lyrics. Huh... How about... Bard College: Gateway to Spy network of Skyrim In the event (however unlikely) Bethesda adds more Bard quests let's call these side-quests. I want to keep my options open so I'll give a couple of scenarios on how these begin: a ) While putting your skills as a newly trained Bard to use in a Jarl's court, you acquire a lucrative lead on a rumor and investigate. After all is said and done you learn a terrible secret and must decide whether to expose the culprit or blackmail them for treasure. b ) You acquire a secret during dialog with an associate of the court or aristocracy, perhaps a rumor you investigate like any other quest, with you learning a terrible secret and deciding whether expose them or blackmail for treasure. c ) You're approached by a Guild member during or after your initial quests for the Bard College, your new handler sends you on your first mission and you return to him for further assignments. The benefit of this is the procedural and familiar way these quests are handled. The motif of this mod is stealth for either justice or profit. To condemn people for their secrets or simply milk as much gold as possible. Features: * Sing your way into courts and bars telling stories to rowdy patrons brawling whenever you slip and win the love of son's and daughter across small towns to earn fame (or infamy for your bawdy lyrics.) * Questline takes place in Jarl Courts and on the streets of (mostly Imperial) cities. * Search the rooms of (or Pickpocket) various NPCs for incriminating evidence. * Intimidate, woo, or quest for juicy gossip and possibly terrifying secrets. * Bribe beggars into becoming lookouts, your eyes in the city. * Less emphasis on tomb-raiding, dungeon crawling, or dragon-slaying and more on investing and dialog chains. This is the best part I think: Quest Ideas: * Scour crime-scenes for clues in order to solve a murder, theft, or unspeakable acts. -- Investigate a string of murders and expose the closet Vampire or help him/her find a cure. -- Deceive the wife of an Imperial Aristocrat into drinking poisoned wine or warn her in advance to save life. -- Browse a burgled shop for clues to the Thief's hideout and either demand half of the loot or turn them in and watch their beheading. -- Become a hired spook for a wealthy merchant to spy on the competition. -- Peruse the scene of a mugging-gone-wrong to find tampered evidence and expose the corrupt watchmen behind it. -- Learn the secret shame of a respected merchant and the source of his soured honey. * Earn the trust of the Jarl's court, learn their secrets, then use it against them or sell it to the highest bidder. -- Talk with a gossipy Aristocrat reveals the crumpled wildlife found near the Town may be coming from an unlikely source. -- After being sent a letter not meant for your eyes, you have the opportunity to expose an affair between a prominent figure or guarantee his silence with daily payments. -- Exchange information with other Spies to learn of secret meetings leading to higher leveled quests. -- Find graffiti in Riften Tunnels spelling out the dates for shipment dates and sell the information to bandits. -- A Nord warrior hires you to place incriminating evidence on a local Mage who desecrated his ancestor's tomb. Plant evidence and earn coin, or putpocket him and watch the show unfold. Thieves steal, Brothers murder, Companions honor, Mages cast, and brutha, Spies spy. Infiltrate as a bard, learn to spy, and extort or exercise justice. What could possibly go wrong?
  2. I'm not so embittered that I'm unable to enjoy the spin-offs so long as they maintain a certain standard of quality. That being said, if it's a good mod I'll keep an eye on it.
  3. Sounds authentic, which is good. Is that noise or grain I hear? Why not try removing it with Noise Removal in Audacity's options?
  4. The headless horseman only spawned at night, I think, so it may be possible.
  5. I like the Lichdom idea, however, I ascribe to Rule VII with all things Final Fantasy. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Rule%20VII
  6. Does this mean our dreams of new weaponry, enemies, and combat has come true?
  7. As long as I'm informed that an NPC has garlic on them, for example, a sentence in the left-hand corner saying, The person before you stinks of garlic then I have no problem with it. Just another opportunity for the player to react to an encounter. That being said, how many Vigilants are vampires to encounter in our blood-lust? Do you plan to implement patrolling parties?
  8. Is it beyond the scope of this mod to introduce appearance changes with Vampires? For example, paler skin for non-beast races such as Imperial, Breton, Nord, and Elves, extended fangs or sharper claws for beast-races, and eye color effects.
  9. Flashes my petorals at lovely hostesses as they pour mead. Surely, this is the night I find the courage to approach one of them.

Moore the Clunky has volunteers a ballad in my honor! With a name like that, I am sure my name will spread through the land like wildfire!

After a trying many-a-trials on treasonous trails tonight I shall bed the illustrious Hydrian the Appalling for twenty gold ingots. A steal compared to the fifteen hundred Leshian the Mildly-Attractive asked for!

Alas, as I bed the Maiden I realize she not a woman, but a scarecrow made from straw wearing a second-hand dress. Zero f*#@s given.
  10. I played Sim Ant when I was eleven. I was eaten by a spider. ;D
  11. Either impossible or requires massive overhaul of game.
  12. I sent you an e-mail of Mixed Unit Tactics. Strange that I only found a single volume even though the author promised another edition. Link: EDIT1: Sent you another email of EDIT2: Sent you another email of
  13. Right. Well, those were (ill-thought) suggestions.
  14. There are other benefits too. Players could create sticky topics of suggested formats. Recruitment topics for example could include contact information and for those ambitious few, they could send regular updates via mailing list. At the bottom of the page (in this aforementioned section) they could write contact info as well as the names of the volunteers. Name______|__Email________________ [username] | [username] | [username] | [username] | And so on.
  15. Added that. Thanks for the suggestion.
  16. Users every day resort to Mod Talk to post information about their projects. Sometimes they get the attention they need for that idea to blossom into a mod and sometimes they don't. What I propose is a way for organizing talent. That being said, I propose an induction on the forums: A mod recruitment section: a forum dedicated to coders, sound engineers, scripters, translators and voice actors pooling their talents together to create a better Skyrim. The rules are simple: posters post tag their topics for their projects. Example: [Looking for Voice Actor for Guild Questline] Example: [Coder looking for project.] Example: [Looking for scripter for Weapons mod.] Example: [Voice Actor looking for work.] This should not contain (for obvious reasons): Mod Requests, Mod Talk, or Mod Troubleshooting. A project manager should advertise their mod, post screenshots and videos (or link to an already uploaded WIP) This in turn should generate volunteers. Potential team members should advertise their previous work: VA's should submit a demo of their work, ect. The status quot has taken us this far: imagine how much farther we could go with a little more organization.
  17. I can't help but bogie when thinking those elf-torturing facists canceled out their existence. It just fills me with glee whenever I see how far they came with their "enlightenment" only to have it snatched away at the last moment. I'm thrilled whenever I plunder their great ruins and thrust my blade again, and again, and again at their constructs. Climaxing on their twenty robot so hard that'd make Molag Bal say, "Daaaaaymm." I only wish that the Dwemer could witness the dismantling of their precious civilization, the occupation of the Falmer, and destruction of their livelihood. To watch in horror as their only testaments rust to dust. All while bound by the stars. Is it wrong of me to relish in their despair? Torturers of life and their self-possessed Puritan attitude of other races, cultures and free thinking. If they were alive today, all of Tamerial would be enslaved by them. No, I'll only shed tears for Yagrum Bagarn, who deserves all our praise for murdering his people. http://images.uesp.net/d/d2/MW-creature-Yagrum_Bagarn.jpg Yes! I relish in their despair. I wish to drink their precious tears as they weep over their destruction. To know what it is truly like be locked into one's own coffin. Join me friends! Join me as I dance on their gravestones! Doing the bogie-bogie while mooning the stars! Fus ro dah, my friends.
  18. I think the real question here is why wasn't this included in Skyrim upon release? It looks so natural.
  19. I believe modders are trying to save themselves the pain of hearing from people who don't follow their instructions regarding installation and load order. As of now, the Workshop doesn't sort mods that well and is often the leading cause of crashes.
  20. I don't see how that armor is going to protect her from all those zombies.
  21. Rebound: After successfully blocking an attack the attacker takes damage.
  22. I understand and am glad that this project is is rolling, however, you haven't answered my first question: is it alright to try recruit VA's via Reddit?
  23. @Emmarae With your permission I'd like to post what I wrote earlier hidden by spoiler. I'm ready to reach out to others about this project. I just I have a concern. Who exactly will be in charge of turning this into a mod? If not you, then we ought to recruit a modder as well.
  24. I've been waiting for something like this for a long, long time.
