  1. Just run SKSE outside of Vortex. You don't need to launch Skyrim from inside Vortex for your mods to load.
  2. Two things you should also know: 1. You don't actually have to launch through Vortex because it is using hardlinks 2. If you click the 3 little dots next to the run button on SKSE64, and click "make primary", the SSE run button on the top of Vortex will run SKSE.
  3. Weird, Oblivion was working for me in a previous version in the closed alpha but now it's not.
  4. yeah it may be a little slower at first, but once you get used to it it works pretty fast. Tannin the developer says it will be better this way so people don't mess up their load order among other reasons.
  5. Remember, this is an alpha, they haven't polished it or added all the features they wanted yet.
  6. Tannin has plans already for this The problem with a "dismiss all" is that you may end up dismissing an important message which got lost between a lot of "noise". For example when you install 20 mods and mod #15 failed you may only see the "mod installed successfully" messages of mod #1 - #14 and dismiss all. We have been talking about a solution internally and I think the best solution is to group notifications, so if you install 20 mods and one fails you would get two notifications, one saying "19 mods installed successfully" and one saying "one mod install failed". Then you could "open" the first notification to get the list of installed mods and enable them but you'd also have a "dismiss" button for the entire group. Plus we would not have the notification popup open when a notification is added to an existing group. Makes sense, please send this in as a feedback report so it's easier for us to manage https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6372751-some-ideas/?p=57382966
  7. Right but remember nothing is actually there. You have nothing to worry about. You haven't lost control of your mods. It's just a different (better) way of doing it. Vortex lets you manually set EEO behind Bijin so it will always do that when you sort your load order.
  8. Send this in the feedback section of vortex
  9. In response to post #57589691. #57598431, #57599596, #57600696 are all replies on the same post. I had trouble understanding at first too but once you get used to it, it is great.
  10. There are no longer any mods being displayed in the modlist. I have a bunch of installed mods on multiple games but none of them are showing up any more in any of my games or profiles. Any new downloaded mods downloaded show up in the download section, but they still do not show up in the mod list. I can install mods from the download section as well and the mod shows up in the mod install folder. I have tried restarting vortex and my computer, even reinstalling vortex. They seem to still be there, but they are not showing up in the list. The plugin list still shows all the plugins that were installed by the mods before this happened. This first started happening when I made a new profile for SSE, everything was working fine until I switched back over to the older profiles and this happened. I already submitted this in the feedback but I wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem.
  11. In response to post #57512891. #57513281, #57529881, #57532236 are all replies on the same post. Vortex and downloaded files can be on a different drive, but extracted mods and the game must be on the same drive
  12. Be sure to report those bugs and missing features in the feedback part of vortex
  13. Please don't let real questions like this get lost in a political diatribe... Start a new topic for it. Well it was kind of related and Tannin seems to be checking this one often. If no one respones I will.
  14. Tannin, if you're still reading this forum (or if anyone else knows), I was wondering if Vortex's sort button just uses LOOT's masterlist or not. Basically I'm asking if there's any point in using LOOT if I'm using Vortex's sort function.
  15. Its not Windows issue. All my other programs have installers in english or system language. About my location... i prefer to stay ... Mysterious. Its enough to say its nothing similar to german... or english. I would report this is the feedback section of vortex when the public release comes.
  16. Vortex installer was in German? It wasn't for me. Plus there isn't really even an installer it just auto installs when you run the exe. How about stop using dumb metaphors that barely make sense and start counter arguing with what Tannin is saying.
  17. I think what it boils down to is "I don't want to learn a new (better) way to do a thing because I hate change and learning wastes my time." For most people anyway.
  18. This is why some programs make the options hidden in the installer under something like "Advanced settings - use at your own risk." I see nothing wrong with that.
  19. For #3: I found out if you add SKSE64 as a tool in the dashboard then you set "Make primary", the top bar launcher will launch it.
  20. In response to post #57206606. #57211856 is also a reply to the same post. I did already :)
  21. In response to post #57207131. #57207521, #57209031, #57209301, #57209331, #57210181, #57210331, #57210641 are all replies on the same post. You guys are all talking about the new nexus, but that has nothing to do with vortex. They don't really look alike.
  22. In response to post #57205416. #57209341, #57209506 are all replies on the same post. That's not true. It uses a completely new system that is somewhere in between.
  23. In response to post #57207131. Sounds like you didn't even try to use it. Also I don't see what's wrong with the UI. It's super easy to use.
  24. I don't know if this was intended but using hardlink deployment right now and when disabling a mod, all the files are removed from the game folder as intended but the folders stay when they are empty (eg. meshes). Also I'm assuming softlink will never work for SSE or Fallout 4?
