I might be able to help, what are you wanting exactly? I use AFT, and though the ENB I use isn't as 'intense' as others, I can take some pretty amazing photographs! ^_^ I am also decently skilled with Photoshop for after-the-fact editing. =3
-
Um, this is DEFINITELY possible, as such a mod already exists. ._.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33577/?
It is abandoned, and not that great of an execution, but it is working and definitely POSSIBLE.
-
I know better vampires ALONE didn't do it, I've used it in the past and it worked fine, but I figure it was worth mentioning I use it!Well, I started up a new character and went to become a vampire lord and it works fine with my mod here ... so I'm very confident in saying that it isn't Better Vampires causing issues.
Thanks for posting your extensive load order. My best guess would be to disable and/or remove the Vampire Lord Flys mod; I think it may be the source of your crashing. It looks like your mod order is sorted ... you do use BOSS right?
And I do use BOSS, and I am very picky about sorting my mods and such.
I'll look into the vampire flight mod, but I have a feeling that isn't it, but I could be wrong. ^_^
EDIT: I uninstall the vampire flight mod completely, yet it still CTDs on save after I become a vampire lord.
I even tested it by saving again right before turning into a vampire lord for the first time, and it saved properly, but as soon as I transform into a vampire lord it CTDs when I save. Reverting back to normal doesn't do anything either, it doesn't seem to be being in the vampire lord form that's causing this problem, just something triggered by transforming for the first time.

immersion should never be hard work! Go with RND, when it comes to adding features altogether, simple and effective is the winner! RND is also very stable, every great once in a while if I eat or drink to fast it might not register it, but that's it, nothing game breaking or even really noticeable.
Waterfountains of skyrim is a good mod to go with RND! And don't forget frostfall! ^_^
-
Also, try out the mod tool "Skyrim Install Swapper" it lets you have multiple installs of skyrim and swap between them easily. You can also duplicate and delete them at well, as well as easily make a 'vanilla' install without having to uninstall everything!
Very handy for figuring out what mod install you really like!

Alright, after the sequence where you first become a Vampire Lord and transform for the first time in the castle, my game started to CTD when I save (auto save, hard save, and quick save)effectively making it impossible to continue playing the game. I can not exit the castle because it CTDs when it try's to autosave after leaving the castle. I was not having this issue at all before this. It is important to note it happens every single time without fail.
I have recently made a lot of INI tweaks, so that could be it, but sense I also recently installed Better Vampires (dawnguard edition) and started the dawnguard questline, there is probably a better chance it's that. I'll give as much information as I can for either situations though.

sounds interesting o.O I've never heard of anything like it. Odd.
-
I've used this mod before, and I can second him; it's a good mod all around, and great for role playing less violent characters! ^_^I don't usually plug my own mod, but Become a Bard would seem to fit with what you're looking for.
-
ENBs are post process injectors, they aren't actually a mod, they are basically a program that launches shortly after you launch skyrim, that changes the visual effects of the game. Most ENBs will never cause crashes, and have minimal FPS hit, or at least have 'lite' versions. You can usually tell pretty easy which is which, as many will say "minimal/no FPS hit" in the descript.OK lads I got rid of warzones and started limiting some of the generic graphic settings (located in the launcher) and its starting to look much much better. Had to drop down AA and AS to x2. Sad face. Can I mess around with ENBs? I'm still confused as to what they really are but my christ they look pretty
An ENB by itself has much less impact then high def graphic mods, not counting the most crazy and intense ones.
I personally like Seasons of Skyrim, Real Like ENB, Project ENB, and Supern ENB RL.
Also, ENB Costumizer is great if you dislike one specific thing about an ENB, or want to try and make it more graphic friendly by dropping the quality without butchering the ENB's bisual appearance.
-
That's a hard one... if you said TWO, I would pick SkyRe and Frostfall, without a doubt.
Skyrim Redone
FrostFall
Climates of Tamriel
Interesting NPCs
IMAGINATOR
Not so sure on the last one... maybe static mesh improvement... or maybe 2k Textures.... or maybe Immersive Armors, or Book of Silence...
without a doubt, that would be a toughy XD ten would be a much more feasible number!
-
I am a MAJOR roleplayer myself. I was very into Morrowind, and that strongly effected my choice of mods. I will tell you some of my favorites, keep in mind I use all of these together, but some may require patches! ^_^
Skyrim Redone + Reproccer, unlocks the true potential of frostfall, and makes skyrim all around a MUCH better game, it is one of the biggest overhauls out there, yet it still feels like the original game, just with an all around better experience.
Better Vampires + Tales of Lycanthropy - GREAT mods for enhancing the feel of dawnguard, making vampires and wereolves interesting and worth while character choices. Both are very costumizable, so you can make them either very balanced, underpowered, or overpowered. (I suggest picking settings at the start of the game and sticking with them though)
Realistic Needs and Disease - Works great with frostfall, and great for role playing, again very costumizable.
Skyrim Economic + Realistic Room Rental - goes well with Skyrim Redone, making gold feel more rare and valuable.
Dragon Soul Relinquishment - a great mod, simply because after about level 50 you run out of things to spend dragon souls on, and dragons suddenly become three times as common and three times as powerful. This is very frustrating, but this mod allows you to use those souls for any number of boosts! Again, VERY costumizable!
The Joy of Perspective - it's about to come out with an update so I suggest waiting if you like it. It makes it so you can see your body in first person view, but it's a little wonky at times.
Wrath of Nature + Midas Magic + Empowered Magic + Apocalypse Spell Package - all great magic mods, I personally use them all, and a few more to give mages TONS of options!
SkyRealism Time and Travel - if you install Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases, you may really need this mod, it alters the time scale to feel much more natural (day and night cycle VERY vast in vanila skyrim) and also makes fast travel time more realistic and balanced.
Immersive Armors + Immersive Weapons + Immersive Creatures - a great combo of mods that adds enjoyable variety to skyrim. Vanilla skyrim gets repetitive and boring fast.
Interesting NPCs - really an AWESOME mod, I suggest using the added ESP to remove all the none voiced characters though. If you play through the game with this installed the first time, I promise you won't be able to tell the deference between vanilla NPCs and the ones added by this, the voice acting is FANTASTIC!
RaceMenu - simply, without a doubt, a MUST. this makes creating a new character so much easier and gives you so many options.
Pumping Iron - A fantastically simple role playing mod. Start your character on the small size on the weight slider, and he'll slowly get bigger as his physically skills increase!
Dragon Combat Overhaul - makes fighting dragons feel more like.... well... fighting dragons. They become nothing more then flying bullies in vanilla skyrim after about level 20, this changes that.
Hoth + Atvir - two amazing follower mods, deeply immersive, amazing voice talent, and a delight to travel with!
Radiant and Unique Potions and Poisons - this makes potions more recognizable, and also adds to the feel of the game a lot more then you'd think!
lanterns of skyrim + werable lanterns - two great mods to add more light to skyrim nights. The former adds lamp posts along all major roads, and the later allows you to wear lanterns and torchbugs and use them to light your way without holding a torch (though holding a torch keeps you warm in frstofall, and these don't, making them more balanced)
Better Fish + Willows 101 Bugs + Pets of Skyrim + Ants in my Pants + Skybirds - all add slot of little critters to skyrim.
Static Mesh Improvement + aMidianborn Book of Silence + 2k Texture Pack + Climate of Tamriel - makes Skyrim look much, much better and highed detailed.
Lush Grass + Lush Trees + Flora Ovrhaul + Denser Grass - makes skyrim look more wild and untamed.
Better Dynamic Snow + HD Snow - there is a lot of snow in skyrim, you won't regret getting these.

True if you don't have the highest end rig installing way to many HD textures can cause issues, but the 'ceiling' is generally just another one of skyrims quirks you can fix with the right edit, i have 16gigs of memory on a semi-high end rig not much better then yours, and I use ini edits to get skyrim to use about half of it(about twice what the 'ceiling' is), basically meaning textures don't cause any lag. I use probably 25-30 texture packs, most of them 2k-4k, basically everything in my game is 2k.
My point was with the amount you have installed textures should not be the problem. Your rig is not really 'high end' but it should definitely be able to handle at least the 2k texture pack and AMDs book of silence (Two of the biggest and best high res packs out there) I meant to say "THOSE texture packs". Obviously, if you install every 4k texture pack you can get your hands on you'll eventually reach a point your computer will throw in the towel, even if it's a total beast.
Textures are easy to test though. If you have HD ones installed, just go into your texture folder, move them (don't delete them so you can move them back if you want to) and then try launching the game.
I still say it's warzones. It is one of the most laggy mods I have ever encountered, simply because of what it does. It's not the modders fault, and it works good if you have very few mods and no HD packs installed, but when warzones suddenly spawns 20 enemies all with HD armor and weapons and they start going nuts on each other then skyrim runs out of memory REAL fast.

Not meaning to do any self promoting hear, but I actually have a sun mod that makes the sun tiny and faint. It's one of the optional files for "more alien skyrim" it may actually be to your taste. If you don't like it, just try searching through some of the other less popular sun mods, as most of the popular ones are big and bright and in your face.
And I wasn't 100% sure how priority worked with BSAs, but I am pretty sure the sun CoT uses is actually in the textures/sky folder itself, and not in the CoT folder inside the sky folder like everything else in CoT. At least, that's how it is in the loose files version.
And BSAopt is the right program. You simply unpack everything from it, and then remove the sun files, and then repack them into a NEW BSA, and name it EXACTLY the same thing as CoT's BSA. I'm not 100% sure how you do this though to be honest...
The ESM/ESP files for the version that included the BSA will reference the BSA, and if it's not present, it will not work correctly, sadly, even if all the files are unpacked in the proper folders.
-
If it's not the manual version then it is much harder (this is why I ALWAYS manually install my mods, I personally really dislike NMM)
The easy way work around would simply be installing ANOTHER sun mod which does place files in the textures/sky folder, as files in these folders will get priority over files in BSAs I believe.
The thing is, at least to my knowledge, someone else CAN'T upload the vanilla files for you, as it is considered copyright infringement to upload Bethesda created files to the nexus.
And I understand wanting to have everything in your language, some random mod changed the name of a few dungeons to german or russian in my game once, and I found it very annoying, espically considering I had NO IDEA which mod did it or why.
The only other thing I can think of would be to unpack the BSA file, remove the sun.dds and sunglare.dds, and then repack it.

I'm overly defense by nature, don't take it personally or anything. XD
I never said ANYTHING about bad scripts or no scripts, just to keep scripts to a minimum. I've used the main two, belua and better vampires, the later seemed to work fine, but when I used the former it gave me really bad 'script lag'. I run many mods with many scripts, and I don't want to add in one with TONS of extra scripts that just aren't necessary. I'm not asking for a vampire mod with NO scripts, that would just be stupid, I am looking for one that doesn't have 500 more scripts then is necessary. It's pretty foolish to try and shrug off this request for the reasons you are giving me, ALL mods have different numbers of scripts, Iv'e seen vampire mods that only run a dozen or so, and some that run well into the hundreds. If I want a mod that only adds 50 scripts instead of 500, then that is a very logical request.Good scripts are not bad, bad scripts are bad.
If you would realise how many scripts the game runs every millisecond you wouldnt mind a few scripts every second.
There's nothing wrong with well scripted mods. Just know that when you installed and used scripted mods you need some precausions when you wanna uninstall the mod. Check the mod page for uninstall procedure, see how "safe" it is. SKSE also helps with dealing with orphaned scripts in your save game by using ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 inside of SKSE.ini
Anyway to your point "Vampire mods that dont add a ton of scripts"
If you wanna change the default game behavior (as you want) you cannot get around not using scripts. So what you want does not exist.
Also, I generally never uninstall mods, I back up my files when I install it, and if I don't like it, I return to the previous version. Uninstalling mods is what kills save files, and I've learned to never install a mod unless I plan on using it for good. ^_^
hey I didnt want to offend you
Anyway, yes, scripts should be minimized... as for script lag, this can be resolved using the papyrus settings inside of skyrim.ini ... giving your scripts more time to compile properly so they dont run out of sync (also taken into account bethesda's messing around with 1.9 update of skyrim causing script lag which cannot be prevented). It's a bit of tweaking and messing about, but it'll work... would be better if this whole papyrus engine was a bit more dynamic and able to change its processing time based on the requirements instead of some fixed values (at least it appears to work that way now). I could give you my papyrus settings if you like, that resolved some lag issues for me... not sure if they would resolve issues for you as I guess that depends on what kind of scripts (and how many) you are using. I did put in some headroom tho.... can't post them now, since I'm not at home :S They are nothing extreme as you see often floating around (ridiculous things you see like allocating >1GB to the papyrus...lol!), just some minor tweaks.
And I'll look into that, and I certianly wouldn't mind any pointers! I get more script lag then regular lag, and I do have plenty of spare ram. I have been tweaking the hell out of my ini for ages, so I know my way around it pretty well, but I still don't really know much of anything about scripts. x_x
On a side note, I think I am going with the Vampiric thirst mod, seems to be not very script heavy, and very realistic. Though, not being able to turn into mist, and not being able to turn NPCs into vampires and enslave them will be a real bummer, but both of those are tin bit overpowered.
-
Nope, that isn't how you do it, it's actually much easier! ^_^
Go out one folder to just the textures/sky folder, then delete the sun.dds and sunglare.dds from that folder! Simple as that. Or search 'sun' in the nexus, and install a new mod to replace just the sun with one you like better (I personally did this, as the CoT sun doesn't match the look of the clouds and sky at all IMO)

I use CoT with SoS, and I don't really have any glitches whatsoever. I even use Sound Propagation overhaul as well. I do not see anything on either of these mods saying they can't be used together, I honestly wonder where you got that.... ? Especially considering that SoS has patches specifically for CoT. It works absolutely perfect for me, no matter the weather, and no matter what cell I enter. I can even wait for the rain sounds to stop inside, and then I go outside and it's stopped raining. Very handy for trying to stay out of the rain for Frostfall. I can't say for sure if it still works with mod-added buildings, just because I never have and probably never will use mods that just add buildings, I focus on game play and visual mods.
From my experience RCRN can be very glitchy, I personally would go without a lighting/weather mod before using it again. I have installed it on two separate occasions, and it always creates really weird glitches that are usually nothing short of totally game breaking.(for example, everything in the world being dark as if it's night time, yet the sky still being the normal bright day time sky) I honestly don't get why people use that mod, CoT is all around better and less glitchy (at least the most up-to-date version), and when combined with a proper ENB looks much more aesthetically pleasing. But, that's just my personal opinion.
I would like to point out though, that I always install ALL my mods at once, and THEN start a character; installing a mod part way through a character is a good way to get them to mess up, and often people who don't know very much about modding mistake this for 'incompatibility' when it's not really incompatible with the mod itself, but simply not installed in the right order to that mod. Load Order isn't the only thing you need to worry about when getting mods to work right! ^_^ I learned this when I was trying to get FNIS and PCEA to work together, if you install FNIS first, then PCEA, it creates crashes and other general chaos, but if you install PCEA first, then FNIS, it works perfect! (just using this as an example)

Texture and armor packs have almost NO effect on decent RIGs. If you can run skyrim on Ultra, you can usually install all the texture packs you want.Any other ones, I've got like two texture packs and armour packs etc....
It feels like I should really be getting more outta this
AMD FX 6100 Six Core 3,3 Ghz
8100 MB Ram
GTX 560 ti
Spawning is what lags computers the worst by a landslide, and warzones does TONS of spawning.

Sounds of Skyrim allows you to hear rain indoors. ^_^

Never heard of it before, but I checked the mod and the video for it and it looks like exactly what I'm looking for! I do hope it has some cool powers though, nothing I have seen so far is very descriptive on that...Check out Vampiric Thirst. The only vampire mod you'll ever need.
-
I've tried it and Better Vampires, I really disliked Belua, it adds in tons of random and weird features I really don't understand or even like, and is probably the most script intense mod I've ever seen, firing off scripts every few seconds, regardless of what you are doing... in fact, most of the jokes I made about bad features and to many scripts where about that mod specifically. Really about the only thing I really like about that mod is that getting near shrines damages you, I think that is very interesting and relevant. It also doesn't add in very many 'special' spells that really feel fun to use.Dude, you just described Belua Sanguinare Revisted perfectly. xD
I've been playing with BSR for a long time and it fast became a mod I cannot play without. Unfortunately it does have a lot of scripts however I do not notice them running at all. I'm redlining my Skyrim with the amount of mods I have and with the graphics settings pushing the limit on what my computer can handle, which is not much, and I notice absolutely zero performance drop with BSR. It really is the perfect must-have vampirism mod.
Thanks for the suggestion, and I get why you like it, but it's just really silly and scripy heavy for my taste. I want something gritty and unrelenting, that makes me question if being a vampire is really worth it, despite giving me crazy powers. Belua was fun and interesting, but probably as far from realistic and gritty as it could be. ;[

Really? I've never heard of anyone not liking frostfall. It's probably the single best Skyrim mod ever created (at least in my opinion) did you try personalizing it through the MCM menu if you use SkyUI?Tried Realistic Needs and Diseases and Frostfall... And for some reason i dont like them :/
Also, try Skyrim Redone if you haven't. You have to start a new character for it, but it's an amazing balancing mod!

Warzones.
My computer can handle almost any mod, I use all the best HD textures, on the highest possible settings, with crazy ENBs, and over 160 mods mostly with lots of scripts, and my game generally runs fine. Every now and then I'll get a second two two frame drop in the woods, and the occasional crash, but altogether it works fine with little to no lag.
But when I installed Warzones, I lagged like crazy, crashed 4-5 times as often, and generally just couldn't play anymore. This mod is great, and works well if you have very few mods installed, but with lots of them it gets problematic QUICK.
I would suggest uninstalling it through the proper installation method described by the maker of the mod, and seeing if it fixes your game. If you uninstall it 'wrong', it likely won't fix much.
