ÃÂ The most efficient way to do this is to make the switch the parent and the cages children - and modify the switch so that parent activates linked child rather than vice versa. ÃÂ Regards meshes, if you need anything modified I can do simple modifications quickly and cleanly in Blender. I'll keep that in mind, thank you. I ended up making new cage objects and trading out some scripts. I put the lift call script on the cage master lever, and I think torturecagescript02 on the cages. The torturecage mesh wouldn't let me link it to the other cages otherwise. A bit experimental, but it function in game perfectly! Again thanks for the advice :) Edit; I was never able to get blender working for nifs. But I am adept with nifskope though.

Clothing and shield invisible
ReverendFelix replied to p1nk13's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
That is normal really. It's because the boots use the foot slot and the pants use the leg slot. The items simply weren't made with each other in mind. Boots generally win the fight... -
I've hear of allnatural and OR having conflict. Since they cover a lot of the same changes it is necessary to balance them to... play nice together. If I had to pick one, I would choose OR. If only or the water and terrain noise. Also, it has mounted combat, enhanced camera, and many other awesome features. But compatibility will always be a thing with OR. I use it and many other obse stuffs, so it can be done.

Clothing and shield invisible

closing windowsI see well it's best to run oblivion in full screen mode. And to have as little background activity running as possible on your computer. If you are running the latest win 10, it has a game mode setting. Definitely use it when running oblivion. -
Yes you can start through the normal exe still. However that means any and all obse stuff will not be running. So you are correct in surmising something from obse is at fault. Btw I looked at that guide you linked. I feel it has some good and bad advice. Mod using is really quite technical, and there is no perfect load order or easy way to do things. Please post your obse plugin list.

Alt tab always stops oblivion for me. Why are you doing it anyway? -
Did you save after the bad game start? If so that game save is corrupted now. You will need to scrap it and load a older save before the problem occured.

That problem points to textures either being mis-aligned or missing altogether. -
Can't get any unlimited training mods to work.

Cool, glad you got it! -
I'm trying to link some cages so they all open on 1 switch. I've tried multiple ways and still haven't got past using a switch to open 1 cage. The others have been parent enabled from the previous on down the line, but won't open. Edit; Never mind on this one. I found a way...

Can't get any unlimited training mods to work.

If you use wrye bash, you must tag lower mods to have them work sometimes. Edit; Also make sure to change the wrye bash Oblivion.ini, not the default one. -
Damage (dealt/received) ratio "Control difficulty slider"
ReverendFelix replied to zebda's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
You can use wrye bash or similarly adjust max armor rating to 100 or above. Mine is set to a 250 max. But my game is very heavily modded. It basically makes armor do it's job properly. Meaning once you hit a 100 armor rating or above, the damage received is 0. Until your armor starts to degrade that is. In my opinion, this is far more immersive than being capped at an 80% damage reduction. And you don't need much to pull this adjustment off. Edit; For damage output, just take you favorite weapon into tes4edit or the cse and modify its damage.- 3 replies

You mean if I set place item in oblivion and it gets picked up, it won't respawn? I only recently realized there are no placed items in oblivion. I figured this was why.

Anyone know how to put non respawning item in a respawning world?

Oblivion.ini settings for modern PC
ReverendFelix replied to Tinien's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I have the anthology version and over 300 mods crunched into it. I can tell you it definitely helped my ctd and low fps loads. I just wanted to testify of a successful usage. -
Huh, I thought it did. Regarding the 'dirt', you ever use nifskope? It's freakin' wizardry I tell you. I manipulate meshes frequently with it. With it you can pick a mesh and texture you want to use and 'make' a new object in the cs from it. Just remember if you are only working with copies, you really have nothing to fear.

Losing levels from jail time used to be how I broke the PC level cap. I always thought there should be a community service option though. But I also like the idea of afflictions. Rotting in a dank cell in some castle dungeon would have it's consequences. I think reverse engineering the 'divine blessing' scripts may be able to accomplish what you want to do.

OR Water shader stutter & low fps
ReverendFelix replied to fortnucho's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Did you enable fps management in OR? How about installing the stutter remover mod? 4GB patch? Engine bug fixes? There are many others that can help too. Do some searching on oblivion fps improvement, and you will find what you need. -
I hadn't seen that mod before. Seems cool, good idea too. Don't worry, there will be plenty of combat. I'm only using guaranteed spawn LL's.
