  2. Confirmed this works. Super easy workaround versus finding a mesh using BAE/whatever you use. Well what da ya know ... you is right ; ) I must've been mistaken from one that used the text override ... also I use containers a lot for activators , and they do keep the "E/Open" mouse over. But activators and doors cease to function without a name. I guess I better just go back to figuring out dungeon puzzles instead of Geck ones .
  3. No personal experience ... just in theory as we discussed it in this thread starting page 2. What's the issue with it ? But remember if it is about an array ... you are already ahead of me on that caveat.
  4. I seriously was thinking aoubit ,,, But!!! I took Pathfinder:Kingmaker ... hearkening back to the ole BG itch to scratch. Now I'm stuck figuring out puzzles on advancment of the story. I didn't think that would be part of it ... but oh well here I is .

  6. Ah well ... I have no clue about the CK with reference to Oblivion . I Only know Fo3/FNV Geck . I have been wrestling the idea to buy Oblivion just so I have a better understanding of whence the modding tool came from. Plus the game would probably be good for a few hrs of entertainment beyond that also ? Trying to decide steam buying an old CRPG ... or something else. And frankly I don't have a lot of time to play games beyond modding and playtesting this engine . Well at least beyond the RL fixing houses I have to do to make money in order to afford the internet connect of being here :excl:

  8. They would still have the "Activate" pop up when hovering the crosshair. Even if not named nor script attached , which most activators have a default action/animation ... that would then play. And for future use for you ... any script attached to an activator , stops it's default action from happening. Which you then re-enable happening by using "Activate" in a script line by itself , after the scripting you wanted done from the "Begin OnActivate"
  9. Are you asking why deathclaws exist? Deathclaws were created by the U.S. military through genetic engineering. Thanks ... and with a little wiki research , I see their base dna is that of a jackson's chameleon . So yep I guess they would fall under animal creature allies for this premise then ? And considering it just takes some base dna for that ... would mean robot dogs and others that still have their brains would qualify too ?
  10. Big Difference ... in general , don't ever finalize the world navmesh ,,, unless you created every triangle. Is this the person I helped with the thug triggers long time ago ?
  11. But anyways to flesh out what I was thinking ... err to start , where my thinking came from . I have been wanting to make a starcraft similar with the Geck and NV assets. This endeavor requires new maps for every encounter (small world) And one of the factions is creatures = Zerg . So with this idea ... could just play the zerg against the vanilla map. If you are familiar with the zerg ... they require "Creep" to build upon. So in this druid/beast master mod ... I suggest the player has to green the land ... Trees, bushes, grass ... and that will be the creep. Then can place creature dens , that "PlaceAtMe" animal creatures. Also player has item like the groovatron ... you shoot actors with it to give them a package. Only effective on creatures for this. For armour of this druid char ... I keep seeing the Ghillie suit ... anybody else have suggestion ? And so I guess is the way to tell people to get off your porch ? Keep moving the porch towards them :devil: :nuke: :pirate:
  12. Wow I don't know what happened , but this thread stopped showing in my content ... was there before ? Anyways ... I forgot about the DeathClaws ... but my pinnacle beast I was thinking about was the Yao guai . Can you remind me of the lore behind why there are "Deathclaws" ? Cuz needs to still follow a lore avenue. And they would be the end of the progression line anyways ... otherwise ... what motivation would you have to play ?
  13. Hey this gives me an idea for a player home mod called ... Get off my Porch / Lawn / Property ... err sumthin to that effect. But also maybe something more in depth , like the player is a druid type character allied with all the animal type creatures , and wants to wipe out all the humans extending that to ghouls , super mutants & robots , or just anything post hominid in the evolutionary tree ???
  14. Well like I said prior ... I Do Not understand that script ... the mushroomcloud concept. So the point about the ref-id was just an ancillary small piece to it working. Seems you overcame that ... now is about a bigger picture ... which will need StealthDick to explain.
  15. Yes "ToString" is from NVSE ... the very first addition to Vanilla . To be clear when I said vanilla prior ... I meant your original mod without worrying how to change the economy scale. So you want my backing to tell your mod down loaders to go F@! themselves with your hard coded prices and their whining ? Hell Ya ... Deliver a Nuke .... but then again ... I don't upload and maintain mods ... at least until my StarCraft proxy gets done. and we all know when that is likely to happen ;)
  16. Thats where you are wrong .... do you think I would lead you down that kind of rabbit hole ? Well don't answer that ... wouldn't blame you for thinking that. But you can store the players name as a string variable ... then switch it back after this temp condition of using it to input a string with an int value ... in the dialogue. Albeit could be a secondary file ear marked for changing the economy scale. Which I gather you think is important , since you were thinking about this awhile ago ? And is not up to me to decide what is important ... I'm just here to help you with what is possible. Add edit : sorry no do not need the ShowOff plugin for what I was saying ... If infact can change the player name. The whole premise hinges on that ... but saving the player name is easy. What might work is changing the name on the Player npc in the item tree. Don't know though ... needs testing ... which I am in the middle of my own testing for that. Actually using the player npc as a template for another unique npc. Which I am dealing with items added / equipped ... and packages with idle anims. If the name thing pops up ... will check for ya.
  17. Did you try what I said about changing the player name ... look all functions concering name changes . cuz then you could use the player name insert. Ya needs testing .... you expecting me to test for ya ? Which I would were my testing itinerary not already full . Sorry :confused:
  18. Ahhh so when you changed to the global ... was because you wanted the option (even though not dialogue) to adjust the 3 tiers of weap prices ? And I see a history there in this thinking , hence not just an attempt to change the whole modus operandi . Which I have to say ... trying to institute the string variable to topic. You can go back to hard coded dialogue lines (with that inserted integer) x (Global) Basically with always inserting Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Tier 3 variable ToString ,,, that creates the dialogue line. You can simply multiply it by 1 global that sets the economy scale. Global = .1 sets prices to 10% of your vanilla ... Global = 2.0 sets price to 200% of vanilla. Which the only reason to have the 3 globals ... is if the tier ratio needs changing . I suspect that would be next to nil ???
  19. Okies one more question ... you created these 3 globals in anticipation you need 3 globals to adjust your 3 tier prices ? And in your vanilla (original) mod functioning ... you have no need of these 3 globals ? If you need and are using them ... plz explain how / why their input is used.

  21. I think in asking yourself ... why were so many people willing to live under monarchy in the past ? Should we really believe a persons inherent spirit towards freedom was different than today ? I think not ... I think people accept a dictatorship due to the chaos and lack of dependability when confronted with what it takes to live freely , and the work they have to expend for our societal network ... which of course people of the past were probably more aware of what we gain just by having it , and functioning. Sheesh plumbing for example ... and the required social agreements for it to function properly . Luckily we have gravity assisting us in that endeavor ... but enough people disagreeing about gravity , will of course throw a wrench in its workings :ohmy:
  22. Well this begs the question of ... what is an WMD these days ? And do you seriously believe it is limited to nuclear or bio / chemical with our present evolution of global network ? Information is the new battle ground imho. And while a person is smart ... people or society as an over arching organism ... is not . Which I hate to say it ... but I believe freedom for all ... is starting to reach it's limits with respect to the societal organism being healthy. Hence people on the personal level , are really just a cellular organism to that , thereby of course influenced by being a part of it. And imo we are starting to see the beginnings of people calling for more order = less freedom , cuz the chaos is to much. IDK ^shrug^
  23. One thing to note about saving scripts ... had you created something while the script is open , or even named a Ref. The new change/item will not be known to the script when you try to save it. So what ever need be saved into a script / result script. Needs to exist before opening it. And a good idea to save the file periodically , especially after creating items that you are then going to call in a script , which need to save prior to opening the script since no saving can be done when open , or any extracurricular windows for that matter. The reason to save often , is because while using the geck making changes , there is a temp storage like a balloon . And eventually it will burst. Just a mention incase you didn't know .
