Non-ENB mod to reduce spell glow/bloom?

This happens too when you mod witcher. The Witcher 2 and 3 are actually 2 of the games Nexus supports for modding. Basically when you deal with mods for any game, this is what happens. You always have to realize that you're basically going beyond what the game was designed to do, hence things happen.

Does anyone have a link to 3ds Max?
chanchan05 replied to charliemckee418's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Possibly. I just wanted to annoy him with the official site. Also, there is a 30 day trial and an optional 3 year free use for students/workers of organizations with an enterprise account. He COULD be from those. We never know. -

Recommended loading order for these 3 sound mods?

I know Immersive Sounds Compendium should be later, but I have no idea on the other two. I use AOS and ISC. -
Low speed of downloading mods in Nexus Mod Manager

Could be server congestion if you are using free servers. If so, wait for a time when there isn't much congestion, or pay for the premium to access different servers. -

Never install a game you want to mod inside Program Files. And how exactly did you move? Because honestly I'll just tell you to reinstall to a proper location for modding anyway.

What's the location of your Skyrim install?

It's all about optimization. I used to run 320 mods on a mid range laptop. Back to the OP. One, some of those stuff I am not sure works together well. Like for example you already have Wildcat, but you also have Action Combat. Those have a lot of overlap. Choose one or the other, then pair it with Deadly Combat Lite (both are compatible). However, the author of Deadly Combat recommends using Wildcat with his mod. You could also look into using less demanding mods but achieve mostly the same thing, unless you really prefer the ones you are currently using. For example, Purity in a single esp can replace Realistic Waters AND Vivid Weathers. The only thing Vivid Weathers has over Purity IMO are the better cloud textures, which can be fixed by using Ethereal Clouds mod. Then Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 over Sounds of Skyrim. It's less taxing on the system, plus it just sounds better IMO. SOS does some weird stuff sometimes, and it used to bork saves. Then combine it with Immersive Sounds Compendium. You also need to make a bashed patch using Wrye Bash. The bash will merge and collate all mods with leveled lists and those made bashable by the authors into a single esp, so that they play with each other nicely and not conflict with each other. You should also just merge the armor mods together since they just take up to much space into one esp using Merge Standalone. It's less messy and I believe having a lot of esps that just do one little thing is more taxing than just merging them all together into one. Infinite loading screens can also be due to problems in memory allocation. So what are your rig specs and what have you done to optimize the game? ENBoost? Crash Fixes? The last time I had infinite loading screens was I tried to add too much to the environment (dawn of skyrim + interesting NPCs + inconsequential NPCs + Populated Cities) that I can't get into the major cities, and I was only on a laptop then. So how does the merge work exactly? Can I get a working load order post like I asked for? Bashed patch is automated using Wrye Bash. Basically, select build bash, it will tell you that the program will disable some plugins (because it's going to bash them together into the bashed patch), click build, then it's done. Just sort it with loot or whatever you're using. Merging is more manual using the Merge Mod Standalone program. You can check this tutorial video by GamerPoets: Once you learn more about modding, you'll know what warnings to ignore or whatever. A working load order would be very difficult because it would need to have very specifically the exact same mods you have, then to extensively test it. No one can say what load order will work specifically because they have to test it first. Not to mention that a load order that works for someone may not exactly work for another one due to hardware differences, driver differences and all that stuff. You have to build your own working load order. You can't just give someone a list of mods and they'll tell you what load order works. It doesn't work like that. That's basically what Loot is anyway. People use it and report what load orders work then it references a masterlist of what should go where. Loot should already be better than any single person telling you anything because it's an amalgamated knowledge base of most users. You can however do stress testing on the stability of your load order so you don't lose several hours just to find a bad CTD later on areas it can't handle. TonyCube's 28 Step Test: START of Test: ----------------- Step 1. Start a new game using Arthmoor's alternate start mod. Step 2. Choose the "I'm camping in the woods" option. Step 3. Configure your mods via the MCM menu Step 4. At the campsite configure the SoT mod and wait 4 minutes. (you can skip this if you don't have Sands of Time. Basically this just says configure it last) Step 5. Save and exit the game to the desktop. Step 6. Load the game and walk/run from the camp site to Riverwood. Walk/run in more or less a straight line. Fight any bandits/wolves if you want to. Step 7. Talk to Alvor in Riverwood and start the main quest. Step 8. Walk/run from Riverwood to Whiterun Stables. Step 9. At Whiterun stables, hire the carriage to Solitude. Step 10. Go slightly to Katla's farm until it is discovered. Step 11. Wait 11 hours until around 8am in game. Step 12. Walk/run to Solitude main doors and enter Solitude. Step 13. Walk/run to the Blue palace and (after the dialogue) talk to Falk Firebeard until the Wolfskull Cave Quest starts. Step 14. Exit the blue palace. Step 15. FAST TRAVEL to Katla's farm. Step 16. From there walk/run to wolfskull cave following the road. Step 17. Fight the skeletons outside Wolfskull Cave, and enter the cave. Step 18. Make sure to pick up the Two Handed Axe on the ground at the start of the cave. Step 19. Make your way through the cave (you can fight the monsters but it is not necessary) Step 20. At the top of the tower find the Potema-demon summoning priestess and dispatch her with your axe (it should say Talk to Falk Firebeard on your screen, check it in the quest menu if you are not sure) Step 21. Pull the lever to put the bridge down and cross over the bridge. Step 22. OPEN the chest on the other side of the bridge. (Usually it will crash here if you have too many mods that add levelled lists to the game) Step 23. Otherwise, continue until you exit Wolfskull cave. SoT can add a LOT of enemies to the cave exit at this point. Somehow exit the cave. Do not die, otherwise it will mess up the test. Step 24. This is where the test really begins... do NOT fast travel! Walk/run back to Solitude, following the road (i.e. the way you came) Step 25. As you approach Solitude there is an archway, then after that there are the main Solitude doors. IF your game is unstable it will usually crash to desktop (CTD) at the archway, or just after you enter the Solitude main entrance. Step 26. IF you make it into Solitude, continue on to Falk Firebeard at the Blue Palace and complete the quest. Step 27. Exit the Blue palace and fast travel anywhere on the game map. Step 28. Try to do whatever you can to make the game crash. If the game is still running, it will probably run for hours.

An awful warning - tread carefully with Vortex
chanchan05 replied to lethielnyrond's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Why? Loot is built into Vortex. If you read the first post, the OP was complaining that Vortex wasn't sorting her mods correctly apparently. So I told her to try running Loot from within Vortex. I also told her on my test that both ways suggest the same load order for me. -

The built documentation needs to be more visible. Perhaps adding tool-tips would help? But there are tool tips. I find it redundant though with huge letters saying "SUPPORT" in all caps on the left pane. -
Question about predators the lost tribes?
chanchan05 replied to Deleted59537951User's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
when you first click on the launcher it gives you an option to play game, option and etc. then you click play game, it takes you to the main menu and then if you press new game it loads the game and when it starts, if you decide to go to the system settings it gives you options like save game, load game, mods, settings, controls and etc. when you click on the mod section, it asks you to sign in and when you do it shows all the mdos that you have downlaoded. But, when i load the mod for the predator the lost tribes it shows, but no details and no checkmark like it would say the mod is load or something. so my other mods are workiing, but why not predator one, do i need to download the optional files too? i only downloaded the main files? Basically you're not doing it properly. Just watch the videos on how to install mods and use them properly. -
That's a great idea. I never thought of that actually. Some of the mods are broken as well so I fixed them. So if I made a mod with the fixes to their assets, listed all the mods that are required, as well as give all the mod authors credit, that would still count, right? You'd have to clarify with the admins. But as I understand it, as long as you are not using the original mod's contents, and is just basically using a plugin to overwrite some stuff and add some stuff to the original mod to put your fixes, it's okay. But before publishing I'd advise to clarify with the admins. You're not actually making a mod anyway. You're basically making bug fixes for somebody else's mod. I've seen other people just upload their own bugfixes and patches so I believe this should fall into that category.

I see the point since some mod authors use abbreviations or different names for their archive files. However, there is something in Vortex that sort of makes this difficult since the installed mod and the archive points to different file locations, unlike how NMM used to do it. Double click the mod. You'll see a pane come out on the right where you can rename and assign the mod to categories and add notes to the mod. However as of now, you can only rename the mod after they've been installed. Which isn't really a problem since you can install multiple instances of a mod anyway. For exmaple I installed All Homes Remodeled and just chose Hearthfire homes only no General Stores, and put those details in the notes. I can right click on it, hit reinstall, select the option for second instance and rename it to All Homes Remodeled 2, then in the notes write that I installed it for all homes with General Stores. One mod archive download, 2 installation instances with different setups that I can disable or enable freely depending on the profile I want. Helps a lot when you're using two profiles with different mod loadouts hence needing different patch setups. Basically it works different, so it does things differently. -
Some of the other mods just list the mods whose assets they need as requirements. For example you want to give a certain follower mod a quest, but can't contact the author. Make your mod as an add-on, meaning you still need the original mod installed and you're just giving it a quest. AFAIK you don't need permission for that because you aren't actually using assets used by the original author and calling it your own. You're just a value pack, kind of like a DLC.

You can still use LOOT with Vortex. You just have to run it from Vortex. And just to be sure, I ran LOOT without applying and just looked through the auto-sorted esps and the sorting is identical with what LOOT wants. Did you deploy the mods after installing? Do you have auto sort enabled? If you install the mod, it detects the proper name. You can also rename it from the right pane that comes up when you double click. You don't have to worry about them being installed and just disable them if you don't want to use it. To be honest it's just the manual sorting and the part where all unsorted mods go to the bottom that I miss with NMM. -

I don't understand you. What mod button? When you sign in? You mean the Skyrim Launcher with the landscape background, Play Game, Data Files, and Settings Button? You first need to learn how to actually mod the game and prepare the game for modding first. Read this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78611 Then watch a tutorial for your preferred mod manager (use only one): Vortex Mod Organizer 2 -
Mod Help: Do I have any incompatibilities in this list ?
chanchan05 replied to Polyethanase's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
It was, but it has now been sorted by LOOT (I have updated the postype issue to reflect as such). No change though. And I usually don't mess around with Wrye Bash because I've never needed it in the past. Do you think a bashed patch would help here? It doesn't sound like it would help that much, but maybe I'm misinterpreting it's purpose ? The bashed patch would allow compatible stuff to work nicely with each other. Scripts from here and there, leveled lists from various mods, etc. It should always be part of a load order. -
Immersive armors and Immersive Weapons add a whole bunch of armors and weapons into the game.

Some mods are years old because they are completed. Anyway, Moonlight Tales Essentials contains several werewolf textures already built in you can swap in game.
