How To Rollback Fallout 4 Version (Steam)
Fkemman11 replied to DiabloInvictus's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Just a note to any that are doing this; Some of the latest versions of mods are made to run only with the latest version of FO4. I found this out when I wanted to install FO4 MCM and had an older version that won't work. -
It must be seeing the physical copies instead of like.....you know, reading an extensive game list on Steam or something.
-
Yeah, knowing what I know now I would have made a bunch of changes to that overhaul mod before I built my mod list on top of it and patched everything. I'll save all that for the next time I have to do a complete reinstall of the game since right now my game is running pretty smooth with over 300 mods (merged).

I use War Never Changes. I'm level 77 right now and can still get killed by most enemies in 4 or 5 good hits- with PA maybe 10 good hits. But, that is true for enemies as well. I can mow down raiders pretty easy. SM are a little harder. But, you get the idea. I don't like all the changes of that particular mod btw and it hasn't been updated in awhile. Some minor bugs also. I just haven't found a better alternative. But, it does make the game much more difficult because you can't absorb damage like before. Also I think the author buffed the assault rifle to much making it way to op.

Character Creation- How do you do it?
Fkemman11 replied to Fkemman11's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I have a few male presets that I have done. Admittedly I could have done a little better with them. I'm thinking of doing about 6 new male face presets. The problem is that LM presets never look the same in other people's game, so I might just make them character face replacements instead. -
Character Creation- How do you do it?
Fkemman11 replied to Fkemman11's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I found one particular lighting type that gives very realistic illumination and shadowing. Other than that, I rarely find places where the lighting and shadows are just right and many that make any character look terrible. The tweaks with makeup can do some amazing things for female faces (and male to an extent). Combinations of colors or just one color scheme can make for some striking differences. I like freckles on faces, but, tend to overuse them- as I do with makeup some times. Sometimes, the look that I go for is the "no makeup" look by using a lot of makeup- very subtle colors to help blend so that they highlight eyes or the cheeks or something. For male characters, a little darker color around the eye lashes and maybe some eye shadow to accentuate and sharpen to make them look a bit more intense. Like some said, I can spend hours in Looksmenu and BodySlide Outfit Studio. -
Approval is what I think some people are after in that respect and yes, I have noticed some people who alter their opinions and other things (screenshots etc.) for more of it. @HadToRegister- Do you ever check some people's profile and find that they have an unusually high amount of kudos while not having any files or screenshots to show? I wonder how they get all those?

Character Creation- How do you do it?

Sure, it has its advantages. But using a non-standard preset (i.e. one made by a modder) is something I (amùost) never do to avoid having to download a whole bunch of mods I don't usually use in order to make the preset look like the modder intended. A lot of the time the Valkyrie mod is needed for this or that preset and let this be a mod that severely clashes with other body and face mods I use, to the point that the game crahses when selecting a preset that uses Valkyrie. Damn. I didn't know that. I guess I'll have to stop using it in my mods then. -

Reason my game looks like this?

Turn wetness off in settings and see if that helps. -
Fallout 4 CTD (new to fallout and nexus forum)
Fkemman11 replied to Haevie's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
It's very hard to pin down random ctds. Find out what FO4Edit is and how to make a merged patch for one thing. That many mods means some conflicts which could be causing your crashing. Your specs are plenty for modded FO4. -
There are no loading screens in The Witcher 3 and that was made for console- wasn't it? Wonder why Beth and others have so many in their games? Beth seems guilty of milking an aging engine till it's last gasp. The current trend by most devs seems to be to produce a game at a smaller cost to them and hoping no one notices the drop in quality in the gaming community. Most pc gamers see it clearly. But, It seems rather easy to keep kiddos entertained on console with flashing lights/bells and whistles and keep that money rolling in while mostly ignoring the pc gaming community. Mods could be the deciding factor in this. Game devs realize this as well and have tried to bring mods to console. The gaming community on the whole should be growing up and realizing that they have been being spoon fed baby-gaming formula for years. They will make the switch....eventually. Then the devs will be harder pressed to produce quality games again.

I like to respond to most posts with feedback too. But, when you are trying to respond to multiple posts it can get a little confusing. I wonder do people feel shirked when they get a "like" rather than a written response?
-
Right!???
-
Yeah, I've used the like button to just say "Hey, I read your post". Other than that if I agree with someone moderately to strongly or something makes me chuckle and I don't want to get involved in the convo- then I endorse it. I tend to endorse all mods for the effort unless they are completely fubarred. What do you think about kudos here?
-
On many websites, we have like buttons. The thing is that not everyone uses the same set of standards when it comes to deciding when to endorse something or not. I generally understand it to mean that if something is cool or makes you smile, then you hit the like button to show it. Other people, though, have said that they will only "like" something if it is truly awesome. So, what should be liked and what shouldn't be in your opinion and why?
-
Still can't believe some "smart" people I know are slaves to consoles. The thing is that they have never even thought about modding their games. The inevitable question from them every time I bring it up is "Yeah, but isn't it hard to mod pc games?" and I keep telling them that it's not! The other concern is that not all games on console are available for pc. Very damn few games have not been ported to pc. So I just don't get why they won't at least give it a try? I know they probably have a decent pc or laptop anyway. All they would need to do is spend some cash to buy a good graphics card, buy a fun game on Steam or gog (most on sale from time to time) that has decent mod support, read a few articles or watch some vids on how to mod it, download a mod or two from here and "BAM!"- they're hooked for life! I mean what appeal is there to a vanilla game on console when you can mod the sh*t out of it on pc at very low extra cost and trouble? I always hated the limitations in my favorite games imposed by their creators. Wouldn't one look at someone's heavily modded Skyrim, Fallout 4, and so many others be enough to convince ppl? I know it was for me. We must spread the word to the ignorant masses! Help break the stranglehold the console devs have on the market! :woot: :woot: :D :D

Hmmm....that is strange. Would be nice to have a computer programmer try and explain this. I'd ask the only person I know, but, he doesn't like giving answers for free- which I totally understand btw.

Not sure what is going on, but, when I log into certain sites my system and games seem to lag some. Doesn't happen when I log in here or most others, just on some. For instance, when I log into Loverslab and then close it out and try to play a game- I have a big drop in frame rate and my system seems to run slower overall. Not only that, my anti-virus gets triggered there once in awhile as well. I pulled up my task manager today to see if something was running and slowing me down and I found nothing. Could this have something to do with bugs in their new system or something? Does anyone else experience this?
-
I learn by looking at file structures of mods and looking up any terms I don't understand. Plus there are a ton of "how to mod x game" on youtube. As mentioned, you will get better help if you give some more details about what you want to learn to mod.

Gunner Audio Replacer please
Fkemman11 replied to RufusYoungBlood666's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
Just shoot em' or blow them up. You don't have to hear them after that. I mean the only good Gunner is a dead one. -
There are several ways to boost your performance. Believe me- I should know.
