  1. Cheers mate, very helpful there. Nice that you took time out of your day to waste time with that little comment Hey, you should be honored. That was his first post. Congrats, man. I saw the topic title and was hoping that it involved actual marriage issues. That would have been interesting. Although, maybe not the type of crash we can help with. But like Kroekr said, we're going to have to start with a load order. We're going to assume also that you've run LOOT on it, so if you haven't, you probably should before you post it and try that out as well.
  2. An easy way to figure this kind of thing out is by loading your load order up in TES5Edit. It has a loader pane on the right hand side that displays what it's doing, so if you're missing a master it will crash, but it will display the name of the last file it tried to load. That will give you the file causing the missing master error.
  3. Racemenu can do that. Install Racemenu, disable all of your mods but the ones from your old save and Racemenu. Load your save, open the console, and type in "showracemenu" and navigate to the "Presets" tab at the top right. From there, you can hit "Save Preset" (I believe that it's the F5 key, but I cannot remember) and then exit and try to load it into your new save. Best way I can think to do it.
  4. Did you actually tell it to go through with the changes it made? LOOT will rearrange them first and then show you what it did, but you have to hit "Apply" for the changes to have an effect. As far as the cleaning message goes, you will have to use TES5Edit to do that. It's not difficult. Here's an article on how to do that. Basically, load the mods to be cleaned, but one at a time (meaning, only the mod to be cleaned and any master it might need). Right click the file, select "Apply Filter for Cleaning" and let the program run for a minute. There are two basic types of automatic cleaning for most mods. The first is to remove identical records. Right click the mod and select that option ("Remove Identical to Master"), let it do its work. The second thing is to right click and select "Undelete and Disable References". This will take care of two of the issues that will come up in LOOT-the identical records and the deleted references. Deleted Navmeshes is another error that might come up, but that takes a bit more work to do. Before you clean any mod, check the list of mods NOT to clean (they call them "intentional dirty edits") to make sure the records aren't meant to be there. The site in the link I posted above is the best place to get a start on cleaning mods and it has pages for the official DLC as well.
  5. I believe FCO can be uninstalled by just removing it in the Mod Manager. The only scripts I think it uses are those for the MCM, so you can uncheck it just fine. RDO can be installed mid playthrough. According the author, it works best with a new game (as do all mods), but mid playthrough is also just fine and will not cause any trouble. RDO's mod page in the link I put up above has a bit of information on installing RDO midsave (it's nothing complicated, the author lists a procedure to make doubly sure the mod works correctly and cover your bases if it does not) and when he discusses compatibility, he has information on FCO. It is possible to keep both in your load order if you're worried about it, and he has instructions to that effect, but you can untick FCO and replace it with RDO just fine according to his instructions. You may want to try a Merged patch for the rain issue. It's hard for me to say why it seems to not be working whne it appears that you have the necessary patches. I would double check on Supreme Storms mod page to see if the author mentions any further incompatibility. You have the Vividian patch for SS, Expanded Snow Systems, and CoT, so I'm not sure. On second thought, Supreme Storms should probably be loaded before ESS. Have you tried that?
  6. Interesting. Skyrim can be finicky like that. If it was crashing when you tried to trade with him, your issue could easily be with an item that appeared in his inventory when you first spoke with him and now does not appear. Either that or you do not have Crash Fixes installed and your game hit the memory limit on loading the items. Either way, I'm glad it's gone (for now). Good luck!
  7. Honestly, it does not look too bright from the screenshots. Maybe it's just me, or the shots didn't capture it fully. I will say that a lot of ENBs want you to turn your ingame brightness all the way down (I don't typically) because of the way their settings are modified. Have you downloaded the Particle Patch for ENB? Many ENBs have that downloaded listed on their page, but Sharpshooter's is rather old. Used to be my favorite back in the day, I'll say that. Pressing SHIFT-ENTER will bring up your ingame ENB config menu that will allow you to modify those Gamma settings and others you were talking about. I usually bring up the console before doing that to freeze the game so my character doesn't do anything stupid while I'm playing with it. All that said, did you try a different ENB as well? Sharpshooter's may not play well with your mods, or your game just may be off. If you like the look of Sharpshooter's ENB, you may like RealVision (Option A is for Realistic Lighting Overhaul), Project ENB, Phinix ENB,or Tamriel Reloaded. I personally use Spectra, but it's something I somehow found on Reddit (where I don't really even go, but they're useful for mod talk) when looking for compatibility ENBs for my weather mods and ELFX. It looks great. So if you can't get Sharpshooter's to work (it is rather old, I used to use it a while back), you can test out of one of these. They all work well with RLO (I use ELFX, which is similar but not the same, and I've used Project, RealVision, and Spectra to great results). EDIT: Forgot to suggest this patch as well. This will help with the snow in particular.
  8. Do you crash ingame or on a load screen? Have you installed Crash Fixes and/or the Infinite Load Screen Fixer? Do you use an ENB?
  9. This is the greatest topic title I've ever seen in this forum. Love it. For your first issue, build a Bashed Patch. Your onions are being overridden by something else that modifies the leveled list for the barrels. For your second issue, that is peculiar, since you seem to have the proper patch for your mods above. Have you tried moving SS and the Vivid Weathers patch to being the last in your load order (before RS)? Also, as a head's up, you should replace FCO with Relationship Dialogue Overhaul. It fixes a lot of FCO's issues and is much more effective. Try building a Merged Patch, in addition to the Bashed Patch. Gonna copy and paste part of a reply I just made earlier regarding this:
  10. Have you run LOOT on it? I don't why you have Immersive Weapons at the bottom of the list, if so. You should get rid of FCO and replace it with Relationship Dialogue Overhaul. It's much better and fixes some of the issues with FCO. That said, I doubt either of those are the causes of your crash. JK's Riverwood, however, might be. Have you tried disabling it and running the game again? You should consider a Bashed Patch and a Merged Patch. You can use both together, build the Merged Patch first and then open it and delete Leveled NPCs and Leveled Items. Then build your Bashed Patch (Leveled Lists and Merged Lists, do not check the Stats or other boxes. Mod Alias Names is fine) and place it below the Merged Patch. This will help with compatibility-the Bashed Patch will make sure all the items from various mods get added to the leveled lists the original mod wanted them in (so bandits and merchants, for instance, carry the weapons from all the mods that try to add them to them) and the Merged Patch will attempt to combine various other changes made by mods. Deleting the Leveled Items and NPCs in the Merged Patch allows the Bashed Patch to handle those functions, which it is better at doing than the Merged Patch is. The Bashed Patch should load last with the Merged Patch right before it.
  11. Is that what the crash log says? If so, that ID is not a formID or baseID from the game. If refers to a memory block, and unfortunately no one knows how to interpret that except the creator of Crash Fixes. Can you go to Falkreath in previous saves, or is it just after you've begun the Dark Brotherhood quest?
  12. That utility can remove scripts with unattached instances, amongst other things. What that means is that it can remove a script from your save that refers to an object that is not present in the save, which could cause the aforementioned script to crash. What it sounds like may have happened was that you installed a combat mod, removed it, but the scripts are still running (which is what happens if a scripted mod is removed midsave). Have you used VioLens or a combat mod in this game and removed it? If not, have you checked through your mods and made sure none of them had requirements that you may have missed?
  13. It's the d3d9 file. I used to have the same issue. Try installing the DirectX Runtime again. If that doesn't do it, then you can try switching to the Injector version of ENB, since that does not use a .dll file.
  14. Like Kroekr said, an uninstall does not completely remove all files. Having it in a different directory will prevent it from using your old Data files if there are any left, but you should check both your Skyrim folder in My Docs and your AppData folder to make sure everything is deleted there. The game will generate new files in both of those folders when you run it.
  15. I'm just at my wits' end here. Honestly. I've been modding Skyrim for five years, modding Oblivion since it came out, Fallout 3, New Vegas, you name it. Even Morrowind. I've been doing this a while. But Skyrim, after I've figured every little insufferable issue before this, has decided that it was just done with it. Frustration aside, this is my last shot at getting help. I don't know why my Skyrim, after working well for so long, has decided to torture me like this. Oh wait, maybe because Bethesda insists on using the most unstable engine known to man...? Possibly...it's a wonder this thing even runs at all. Anyway, the issue is as it sounds. I cannot enter the Helgen Keep during that longwinded introduction sequence. Instant crash. I tried downloading some clean saves, both in the Keep and in Riverwood, instant crash on load. I disabled all of my mods, disabled my ENB, verified my game cache, cleaned my DLC, still instant crash on loading either the clean saves or starting a new game and entering the Keep. I figured out that it only crashes when Dawnguard is enabled. I've never had this issue before, and I've had Dawnguard since it came out. I had cleaned it beforehand and not had this issue, but I deleted Dawnguard.esm and the BSA, verified my cache to get a new copy of each, and it still crashes. I deleted my ini files in My Docs and the Skyrim folder, still crashes. I tried with just USLEEP and the DLC, still crashes. Right now, the only files I have loaded are Skyrim, Update, Dawnguard, Hearthfires, and Dragonborn (in that order, though I tried it also in the order that USLEEP has its dependencies, which I cannot seem to remember off the top of my head). I have removed every file from my Data folder except for the Skyrim BSA files, the DLC BSA files, and the ESM files. There is literally nothing in there but the official DLC and vanilla game. Has anyone encountered this issue before or have any solution? After all the issues I've had over the years, this is the one that is going to break this game for me. Thanks in advance for any advice, and I apologize profusely for any inconvenience or if this is in the wrong area.
  16. I'm glad you got the issue fixed. I haven't had it myself but I wanted to suggest a few things. Do you mind posting the hotfix so that someone else who may have the issue can find it as well?
  17. "Downloaded something" What exactly do you mean by this? Have any new .esms appeared in your manager? If you have subscribed to a mod (even accidentally) on Steam's Workshop site, then Steam will automatically download that mod when the game launches from Steam. So if Steam, for instance, has an update, the next you launch Skyrim it will force you to use the Skyrim launcher...which will launch Steam and it will download that subscribed mod and activate it. What mine used to do also was deactivate all my mods, which was atypical but may very well have happened to you.
  18. You're asking a guy for help who last responded to this thread over four years ago... NPCs have AI packages that designate what time they go places and how long they spend there. An easy way for you to make what you want to happen is to simply copy another package from another NPC who does the same thing you want your guy to do. Find someone who goes to the tavern, like, say, Benor in Morthal. You'll see a package for them-something called "drink" or with the name of the inn-and it will usually display how long they spend doing it and at what time they go there. If you open (double click) the package, it will have the conditions for when the NPC does it. There's a tab at the top called "Schedule" and you click that to set how long the NPC does the action, and what days of the week and other related things to tell him when to go drinking. So open a similar AI Package from a drinking NPC and either add it to your NPC (by dragging it into his AI Package tab) or open one from another NPC, rename it, and edit its conditions to your liking. You will want to ask those questions here in the future though. That's where the mod makers hang out, this forum is really for diagnosing mod problems.
  19. You should start a new topic instead of resurrecting this one from three years ago. A lot of things have changed since then, and even though your issue may be similar, you still need to describe it in particular because the fix for this guy might not work for you. Do you use ECE, or racemenu? Have you been able to load an old save to see if showracemenu works, or if your females look normal? Hairpacks are a huge possibility, depending on what you have installed.
  20. I edited it to add/fix a couple of links. What I couldn't find is a mod to add in some gratitude. ;)
  21. So I tried a full clean. i uninstalled all mods, reinstalled the game (outside of program file) and only installed SKSE and Live another life. It still crashed. It may not be your .esps. Have you installed a skeleton mod of any kind? Try renaming your meshes and textures folders one at a time (i.e., rename your meshes folder, start the game, then do it separately with your textures) and see if your game starts. If it does, that means you have an issue with one of those files and you may need to go through whichever folder is causing trouble and rename or cut and paste out the folders within it until you can narrow which file is giving you trouble.
  22. No problem man. If it works, come back let us know, that way if someone else stumbles across this thread with the same issue they can see if this helped them out. Good luck!
  23. Very strange. Might sound obvious or useless, but I would certainly reinstall USLEEP to see if that does you any good. USLEEP is designed to not need any tweaking in any utility, such as cleaning, so if there's an error chances are your download got corrupted somehow.
  24. Rather than resurrecting this old topic, you should have started a new one. You don't have the issue Bauldric had (his issue was almost certainly him running out of memory, something Crash Fixes was designed to fix, but was not available then). Your issue is missing textures on your lanterns and windows. Anotherpossibility is that a mod you installed added custom meshes for your lanterns and windows (ELFX maybe?) and since the mod is not active/did not install correctly, the textures for those new meshes are not available for the game to load. You can try removing/renaming your meshes and textures folders in your Skyrim/Data folder, which would confirm that theory. If this is the case, then you should go to your folder and see if you files in the meshes folder that correspond to your lanterns and windows (I do not know which meshes windows use, but lanterns should be "candlelantern" or something like that in the meshes->clutter folder). If you have anything there, delete it. The alternative way-the one that I would do-is to install SMIM which, on top of giving you much better meshes for world items in general, should fix your issue in regards to the windows and lanterns by simply replacing them with better versions. If you want, ELFX is a different mod that adds and redoes lighting to the world, and will probably have meshes and textures to replace your existing one. It's just another option, if you want to change things up, but SMIM should fix the issue, is highly recommended, and definitely more vanilla.
