  1. It's unfortunately a new bug introduced with 2.01 update which dropped yesterday; [bUG] - PATCH 2.01 RADIO NOW ENTIRELY MUFFLES VEHICLE SOUNDS Was gonna suggest reporting it, but you've been using mods so they won't accept it as a legitimate bug report. In any case, we'll have to wait for them to fix it.
  2. You can. If you are using Nvidia, you can enable higher resolutions via DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) option in Nvidia's Control Panel under Manage 3D Settings. This allows you to change and render the game at higher resolutions while the game's running in fullscreen. And be sure to disable DLSS when taking shots so that it remains true 4K. If you're on AMD I do not know the process, but they should have something similar I believe.
  3. Go to Nexus Mods page Click on your profile icon in the top right Choose Site Preferences Go to Content Blocking tab Here you can choose Hide Adult Content If you wish to block content more specifically, you can manually choose which mod tags to block If you don't mind the adult content, but wish not to see mods from a certain mod author, you can also use Block An Author feature and their mods will not show anymore
  4. I think that as a mod-hosting site, protecting yourselves first and foremost and having solidified and consistent rules is the top priority, for the sake of all the gamers who love and enjoy mods on consoles. Because hunting down ways to authenticate permissions is not only a waste of time and effort, but also a potential risk that could cause issues and who knows what else. Because we live in a digital era where anything and everything can easily be falsified and presented as authentic in less than 30 seconds. So the best way to treat this dilemma would be to treat it like a real-life scenario. Just like we can't present a printed copy of our ID and instead need an actual physical valid ID, so the same should be with permissions. The only actual valid permission is the one on the mod page under the Permissions tab. It cannot be edited nor falsified by a 3rd party and it is by all means and purposes intended to act as an unquestionable proof. If a permission's authenticity is being questioned, a simple check on the mod page would destroy all doubt because it is publicly visible information, both by you, your moderators and even mod users. If the permission does not correlate to what the mod porter is claiming, then the mod gets taken down.If the mod author actually did give permission to have the mod ported somewhere else, regardless it is the mod author's duty to update the permission page so the mod can get ported. If the mod author updates their mod permission, the mod porter is free to re-upload the mod.The only absolute proof is what the permission tab says on the mod page.So I think treating it as a real-life documentation would make lives easier for everyone and permanently solidify your rules so they can remain consistent, which then would also make the Permissions tab on the Nexus actually mean something. Because so many mod authors do not treat their mod pages properly and keep handling out permissions willy-nilly wherever they like. So I see this as a win-win for Bethesda, Nexus and mod authors. Also I'm really glad that Bethesda Modding is still going strong, as gamers deserve the beauty of modding regardless of their platform.
  5. Yes, I have the same thing if I use the phone for the forum section, especially PMs. Basically every time I hit enter to go to another row on the phone and when I submit the message, the empty space is replaced with this รข letter. Got no clue why though.
  6. May the Nexus live long and prosper! And thank you for what you have created and keep creating and all the people involved who keep improving and maintaining it! I very much enjoyed the summary of the entire year, stats most of all. As for the old design, I can't wait for it to go away already as it is inevitable. Plus all those ghost notifications I have to hunt down on a daily basis from people who post from old design :D I know I expressed my worries and thoughts about the new design and brought up all the things that should be improved back when it officially rolled out, but that is only because I care about this place that you people had created. Seeing continuous updates each day about the issues that were brought up is a pleasant sight and I thank you for listening to feedback. Only thing I wish that was tweaked is to be able to see the images without those black bars when we click on them, but all in all it came a long way since the launch day and I'm perfectly fine with it now. But thank you for the Nexus. I'm curious to see and experience the Vortex as well ^^ As for the moderators, lets just say reading the banned section on the forums is something I do quite a lot as it is a very interesting read to me :D The amount of rude cases is astounding and I could not imagine dealing with such people so much on a daily basis, they truly have the nerves of steel. I'd probably flip out :D
  7. Um... no :D I always had name and country specified, but as of yesterday every person on the Nexus has them blank ^^
  8. [FIXED - Thread can be deleted or locked now] Just reporting as I visited my profile and noticed this, not a single member on the Nexus has neither the REAL NAME nor COUNTRY showing on their Nexus profile. Trying to update it will still not show it. This is on the new design, I have not tested on the old one.
  9. First download Nexus Mod Manager which allows you to easily install and manage mods. Then be sure to enable modding by following this post. Once you did that, you can download, install and play with any mod on the Nexus. Be sure to VERY CAREFULLY read the description of each mod and what it does. Not reading the description could lead to issues or incompatibilities with other mods.
  10. Endorsements are basically like Facebook likes. When you like a mod you downloaded or an image you saw, you click the ENDORSE button to show your appreciation. The more endorsements a mod/image has, the easier it is for other users to find it. Kudos are also similar to likes though more of a reputation point, only kudos are for users. So lets say someone helped you with an issue or you found them extremely pleasant to interact with, you give them a kudos.
  11. Profile pages are for the most part, a place where a person can show a bit of their personality and work, usually linking even outside the Nexus. Most people don't write anything on them, but for those that do, profile pages are an extent of their personality that they want to show to the rest of the world. Nexus Mods is more than just a modding site, it's a community site. A place where people can hang around, talk with eachother, meet new people... so why not make the profile pages have a bit more personality to them. Currently this is what a profile page looks like; For the most part, it's gray, dark grey and blackish and apart from the ABOUT section which we can use to decorate our profile, there is nothing that really stands out. What I was thinking is to spice the profile page up a bit and have them show a bit more personality and our work. So using the other Nexus pages, layouts, highlights and even fonts as my inspiration, this is the concept I came up with: So lets run things down: 1. - BANNER IMAGE - The current profile design has a dark gray and half-dimmed black area that is empty. I was thinking that is kind of a wasted space, so why not use that area for a banner image. In this area a person could upload a banner image to show a bit of their personality and stand out a bit since all profiles are currently the same. This could be their LOGO or whatever they want to show. 2. - MOST ENDORSED SECTION - First impressions are important and usually when we click on someone's profile, we click not only find out some more information about the user in question, but also to check out their mods and images if they have any. This part of a profile could be optionally turned on because not everyone is a modder or a screenarcher. Some people are just regular users. But for those who enjoy the creativity and sharing that creativity on the Nexus, this could be a wonderful addition for the profile page. So... Most Endorsed Mods - It would show top 5 most endorsed mods of that particular user which would include the thumbnail, name, game and category. Now I am aware that some people do NSFW mods, so naturally the same filters would apply here for the person viewing them. Most Endorsed Media - Not everyone is a modder, some people are screenarchers and trust me when I say, screenarchering means a lot to people. Even I love doing it. So naturally, why not allow screenarchers to have a section to show off their top 5 endorsed images. This section could also be for videos, as there are Youtubers as well who may want to show off their videos. Naturally these options could be turned on and off. If a person wants to keep their profile simple, they could do that. Now I am aware that we can just click on mods or images, sort them through most endorsed, but I think first impressions are important and having your BEST work presented right away could have an impact. I was also thinking that instead of TOP 5 MODS or MEDIA, a user could choose the 5 mods they think are their finest work as popularity does not represent the quality of a mod in most cases. It would allow modders to bring attention to mods they think are worth visiting. In any case, that's my idea. And if this idea does not look interesting or cannot be achieved, then I just want to pitch the idea to atleast be able to upload a banner to the profile page. Just so that it's not a dark-black empty area behind our names ^^ Thank you for reading
  12. If you want to change your nickname you can ask a moderator to do so. There is a lot of things in the background that are tied to your nickname and changing it is not so simple, so the only way to change it is by moderator/admins if they think it's doable. Though it depends on the change I believe. I had mine changed, but it was just a simple correction in which my nickname was not capitalized. For a full nickname change, I think it may be harder.
  13. Please please please please please! Have those black bars FULLY minimized when viewing an image. Opening an image pulls out the black bars which are constricting the image, making it impossible to see it in all its glory because 1 centimeter is cut off from both ends. I'm talking about the top bar with the extra buttons like ZOOM/DOWNLOAD and FULLSCREEN along with the bottom bar which contains the title. Why do we need these bars ? On PC all these functions already exist. Right click to download image, ctrl + scroll to zoom. On mobile, two fingers to zoom, hold the finger to download. There's no point in this obstruction of an image that is being forced upon the image. It may not sound like a big deal to you, but it is a big deal to people who appreciate images. Also it's quite ironic that there's a FULLSCREEN button available which once again does not remove those black bars at all. It's contradictory to the whole point of clicking on an image. So please... minimize the bars or add an option for users so we can choose to have it minimized by default. And please bring back the option to choose a mod's header image from already uploaded images.
  14. I don't quite understand where all this fear is coming from. If you are respectful and polite, you won't get banned. Even if you are snarky or rude, you probably won't get banned. Be extremely rude and you WILL get banned. I personally have been publicly modding for 2 years now and I only had to ban 2 extreme assholes, despite having a ton of assholes all over the place. One threw a lot of insults my way because I simply said NO to his request so he decided to insult the s#*! out of me. The other I banned because he said something that was extremely dumb and condescending towards me. Didn't like what he was implying at all. So as long as you don't rub people the wrong way, you won't get banned by a modder. Be respectful, be polite. That doesn't mean bow down and kiss the modder's feet and worship him, but it does mean show the minimum amount of respect that you'd show a stranger on the street.
  15. So... how do I now change my mod header image to one of existing images WITHOUT uploading a new image ? Because I don't see an option that was previously there on the old design. Instead all I can see is UPLOAD NEW IMAGE.
  16. So I've been designing some concept previews for some visual changes I think would look better and make it easier on the eye for everyone, modders and users included. The previews can be found here. FIRST CONCEPT PREVIEW - THE DESCRIPTION PAGE The first concept shows the DESCRIPTION page which is the MOST IMPORTANT part when it comes to users checking out a mod. As seen, the mod page has been severely cleaned up and all the useless information that is not important to a regular user has been placed on the bottom, where it should be. Things such as tags, Report and Share buttons along with Permissions and Mirrors. Why did I do this ? Because first of all PERMISSIONS only affect other modders who want to use assets from a mod. It does not affect normal users therefore putting it below is the obvious choice because the number of users outnumbers the amount of potential modders seeking permissions. Second is MIRRORS. Nobody in their right mind would first go download mods or check out mods on other sites without reading the MAIN DESCRIPTION of a mod. If they find the mod interesting, then ofcourse they'll want to check if the mod is on other platforms. Therefore putting mirrors at the bottom along with everything else makes sense. Things like donations, translations, mirrors, tags and so on are irrelevant information and should not come FIRST before the important part which is the actual description. SECOND CONCEPT PREVIEW - THE FILES SECTION The files section quite honestly is horrible looking. I will use Armorsmith Extended as an example of how horrible the new design really makes the files section because Armorsmith Extended has over 300 files. As you can see all main files and optional files are expanded and their size takes so much of the screen. Try scrolling down and tell me if that feels good. It certainly does not to me. Everything is all over the place and to make matters worse, all the MAIN Files are expanded, thus allowing someone like myself who has a 1920x1080 monitor to see only 2 files at a time. COMPACT LOOK matters! Therefore I reduced the size to almost half and increased the visual appeal by putting some elements into space which was previously empty. Files should not be expanded because they otherwise they take far too much space if the mod has several. Icons for download data and all that I placed onto the tray itself, although I believe they should be a bit more reduced in size because some files have long names. As for the FILE VERSION, I think that file version should be limited only to dots and numbers. Some mods have meme crap written as version of the files, such as THICC or 69696969669, 420BLAZEIT and so on. I believe a limit on what can be used for a file version should be implemented. Antivirus reports and Preview options I placed side by side instead of both being in a separate line... conserving space is important. Please tell me if I'm just wasting my time with these concept previews. If you're not interested, I'd like to know. I love the Nexus and want to remain on it so I will not just say I am against the new design and do nothing. I want to help and provide feedback as much as possible. The next concept previews I wanted to do was the MAIN PAGE for a game, the IMAGES and COMMENT SECTION.
  17. In response to post #54671943. #54672703, #54677478, #54678053, #54681883, #54683388, #54683578 are all replies on the same post. I feel the same way Jokerine. I spoke to a few friends about this design and not one of them likes it. One actually hates it so much he threw a tantrum. I really hope for some visual and design improvements until the final launch day which reduces the cluster**** of ugliness and information and scales down the UI, which I offered my suggestions on, otherwise I'll just go away because I really can't stand this new design. I am really trying hard forcing myself to suffer through it, but it's just impossible and frustrating. On a mobile the site is PERFECT! It looks good, it feels good... except the mod pages which are ugly as hell no matter where you view them from. But it's just not worth sacrificing something that was perfect in order to make a mobile version more better. I'll keep on surviving until the final launch day and see what changes happen from now till then. All I can do until then is just offer my opinion on the matter and like you said... adapt or die. I am forced to death however because I really can't stand another Bethesda.net lookalike. I am under no illusion that my opinion or me quitting matters at all, after all I'm just another random peon who already got milked for money and will be forgotten after a day of departure... but I would like to remain on this site... hopefully... :( #SaveNexus
  18. I personally will be clutching onto the old design until the moment it dies because I really am not a fan of this new one. And it's not about me clinging onto the old one because I hate changes or something, I welcome changes when I think they're an improvement, but this is honestly not an improvement in my eyes. It's simply the fact that the compact look of the old design was traded for this plain ugly "modern" design which involves big images and fonts, too much scrolling down, too much eye-movement along with information being scattered all over the place. What's up with all the depressing colors of dark gray, light gray and occasionally white ? Did someone run out of color when designing this place ? Is the "modern" design too afraid of colors ? Am I in 50 Shades Of Gray ? And then there's other things, some of which I mentioned in the forum post. My honest opinion is that this is a downgrade rather than an upgrade, because of reasons I stated in the forum post. Such a shame that this is now turning into Bethesda.net 2.0 design... only more uglier and effort requiring. If anything should have been changed, then it was the forums section because it felt so disconnected from the main site in terms of designs and bringing it up to the Nexus design would have been amazing. I will remain on the old design until hopefully some changes are made to the new design that make it at least somewhat visually pleasing and convenient. I said it once and I'll say it again. Old design was compact, displayed important information when required, was easier to navigate and much more viewable. The new design is too big, too flashy with images and fonts. Absolutely no colors. Information is scattered all over the place. A lot of scrolling and looking around. The biggest sin of all however is that it forces the user to SEARCH for IMPORTANT information, instead of handing the important information to them. Just look at the mod pages for example and see the first 5 lines when you open a mod page. This new design would be a great design for a phone, not a PC. Just my opinion.

  20. Bring her to a place where there are smoking markers like the Railroad HQ and wait until she starts smoking and throws the cigarette.
  21. 1. Click the "Start" button, type "regedit" and press "Enter" while holding the "Ctrl" and "Shift" keys. 2. Click "Continue" in the confirmation window, or type the administrator password, if requested. 3.Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes" in the Registry Editor. Right-click the extension under "Classes," select "Delete" and click "Yes" in the confirmation window. 4. Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExt." Right-click the extension under the "FileExt" folder in the left-hand pane, and select "Delete." Click "Yes" in the confirmation window. 5. Test that the association has been removed by double-clicking it from Windows Explorer. If it opens an associated program, then continue the procedure. If it asks you to choose a program, then the association has been removed. 6. Hold the "Ctrl" key and press "F" to search the Registry. Enter ".EXT", replacing "EXT" with the actual extension, and press "Enter." Right-click any folder from the right-hand pane that is named after that extension, and delete it. This step may be unnecessary, but some programs place additional entries in randomly named folders. This is from Sevenforums. I recently had to do the same thing ^^
  22. They're localization files, used to provide subtitles and text for everything in the game. Mostly used as translations for other languages, but they have other purposes too, like Full Dialogue Interface mod which puts full lines dialogue choices instead of just paraphrases.
  23. EDIT : Found it. It's Fallout4Translator tool uploaded on the Nexus. I want to edit STRING files ( the files with tons of text ), but I am unsure which program is used. Google told me nothing about them, so I'm asking here. I doubt it could be just NOTEPAD, there's a lot of odd symbols and mumbo-jumbo inside, so I'm guessing something else is used... probably the CK.
  24. There's an option in Steam settings which enables you to save uncompressed screenshots which come 10MB in size. Maybe that may help ?
  25. I look at myself in the mirror each day and think; time to change my face texture.
